Mehhh idk….. She doesn’t need a momentum. She’s not running after a career like its 1997… She’s now a living legend. Paris Olympics definitely established that, at least for those who were still doubting she was.

Its suck not to have an official release of the song… for us the hard cord fans.. but I dont think theres much interest for that particular song in general. What people loved was THAT MOMENT and the memories people will have for the opening ceremony because of her. And its on youtube for people to watch again… if they wan to.

Probably more about not using it if the artist openly disapproves. I doubt Celine supports Trump in any way politically but she has generally tried to stay away from commenting on politics. Although she lives in America this is not really her election anyway as a Canadian.

Politics aside, let’s not forget that Céline and René were friendly with Trump over a long period of time. And we know Trump loves her. We may never know her thoughts about him but it’s important to remember that she knows him personally, as a human being, and depending on her experience with him (which I assume to be quite positive), she may be able to differentiate the person from his politics.

Ugh, I just hate the backlash she’ll get from this from the Trump haters. I wish she would post something in retaliation on her social media if she didn’t approve it but I don’t think she will as she’s too respectful a person in general, politics aside.

Not having approval never stopped him before. He does this all the time without having the rights (there are plenty of examples). Rules and laws are not something he observes.

I don't think she will get backlash. Now if she was out supporting him by signing live or at a rally that would be different. Them just playing a pre-recorded song I don't see her getting any flack. I am one of his haters and even if I was not her fan would know the difference in him using a song from an artist and if the actual artist supported him. Personally I believe his haters are smart enough to know this difference, why we know he is a fraud.
