Je nous Veux is really good. Listening to it for time 2, I'm hearing the melismas. I really love it, the key change is amazing. What can't this woman do?

 

Another one I add to my "listen carefully" list. I love the little nuances like that

If you pay for the album, it counts as 1 sale. Streaming also counts towards the US charts as well as people buying a number of songs from the album. In the past, maybe it was difficult for fans to go and buy the album because it wasn't readily available or it was released at a later date. With online outlets like itunes, you get it right away. Of course most fans want the physical copy... let's see how the album evolves in the chart throughout the week. In France, people managed to get PQTMAE back in the top 10 after 20 years, why can't fans in the US but 2,500 or 3,000 copies so that the album enters the chart?

I don't even know who Zaho is, never heard of her, so for me, it's all Celine.

It's amazing... So deep. It cuts to your heart. Even with my basic French I can get the gist of it. It's not a huge key change... But there's a noticeable one. Maybe an octave. But still!

She likes Renaud... A really trash singer who "writes" song about politics, police and that kind if thing... Really French stuff I hate! Boring songs without melody, that pretentious "Bobo'' loved because it looks intelligent to listen that kind of thing.

 

Renaud is a legendary singer. Too bad you can't appreciate such a great songwriter.

The problem with the Zaho songs is that Zaho thought of herself singing those songs; so Celine was imitating her voice in a weird unoriginal way; plus Zaho is very formulaic and has little to no originality as an artist.

 

The first time I listened to her I thought she was a comedian mocking pop artists. I thought it was a parody.

Thanks for the information. I'm gonna buy the deluxe tomorrow. Anyway, I don't think there will be a re-release, especially that soon in November. So there will be no DVD?

The problem with this album is that.. besides EUS, the only true gem... The rest try too hard to be modern, to be a hit, to be happy. I like Les yeux au ciel and L'etoile... But evrything sounds so artificial. First i couldn't even listen. Now, ok, i can enjoy, it's easy to listen... but i'm still thinking that it lacks soul. It's a french album that sounds like an english one. A bunch of songs and that's it. Not bad songs, but... Nothing special either.

I'll post my full review later ... But in my honest opinion I don't know why some people are so hard on this album. It's miles better than SA I feel like many less filler songs on this album.

 

I love "Les Yeux Au Ciel" .... " Tu Suras" & "Je Nous Vuex"

 

I'm sorry but I've never liked " Ordinarie" it's maybe a shocker to some here but it's not my cup of tea.

 

My only wish is her English album gets the same qualities of songs and her voice for the most part very clear and beautiful with some raspiness /bed room voice but her voice is miles better than it was on LMBTL or SA.

You nailed it; even in Encore Un Soir, Celine tries to be frenchy... Her new manager is counting on his marketing techniques to get this album sold; the right PR movements, the hype, the TV specials... but no top notch quality; it will most likely sell well because Sans Attendre was certified Diamond in sales in France and there is always high expectation on the follow-up of a best-selling album; wonder how much hype there will be on the French album that she will release after this one, if we won't wait for an eternity to hear it.

It's a french album that sounds like an english one.

I agree 100% with this. That was my first thought and that's why I love the album a lot!!! I love her French discography don't get me wrong guys but sometimes the songs are a little bit heavy and the songs way poetic if that makes sense. But this album is very refreshing and easy to listen. It's emotional but in a light way and very uplifting too and sometimes we need that kind of music, I do. I'm in love!

she wants more up tempo , she never got that and that she likes it a lot. So she goes in others repertoire to find them, and that she have to do it again, she will do it even more. She seemed really determined.

 

So next album, more bubble pop or cover, I can already hear people crying. But it comes from Celine.

maybe this is why they made more publicity in non French speaking country. At least, they talked about it, it was not a covert mission.

I could live without covers but OH IM SO ready for the "bubblegum pop" lol.. I'm in the minorities but "One Heart" was one of my favorite albums because I think it was Celine's most "pop" album and I loved it! I might be in the minority but I'm ready for a "One Heart" 2017 edition for her next english album with a few power ballads of course lol
