They might be ballads but they all sound more different than Je Vous Veux, Toutes Les Choses and Ma Force which to me all sound a bit alike.

Really, they sound alike? I disagree (respectfully, of course) They are all slower, yeah, but similar? One is more country influenced (for lack of a better description) Toutes Les Choses is more piano and I feel more emotional and breathy, while other feels like a classic Celine ballad-like slow song.

It's nauseating for me to see non-French speakers bashing a song when they haven't the foggiest idea what it's about. This is not directed towards any one or any thing in general.

This is in first impression... I only listened to the album 3 times so far. Like I said you need to listen to the album a few times to recognise the songs. .. but with SA I didn't have that...

Renaud is a legendary singer. Too bad you can't appreciate such a great songwriter.

I know it's real poetry. I grew up with with his songs ( little bit tired of them maybe). I just wanted to explain who is this journalist that I know very because I read le nouvelobs really often. And she is exactly everything I hate in France: elite who think that there is a music for intelligent people and a music for those poor people without taste or musical culture and education.

You know that kind people in France who want to seem smart even they are talking about toilets or cooking. Those people who make everything boring and complicated. People you can't have fun with at a dinner because they always want to ''be intelligent''.

I know Renaud is a great artist, not my kind of stuff but I appreciate the texts.

Oh my gosh I am sort of freaking out right now... My order from Canada was shopped yesterday, and it's already on the truck of the courier being delivered to me today as we speak. Delivered on release day from the western end of Canada. I am a little surprised! I just can't believe I'll be getting the deluxe version on release day! Wow!

I did Masters in French and I understand the lyrics very well. It doesn't change the fact that musically and vocally it's boring like hell.

I absolutely love the album! I think it has the right percentage of "tomatos and roses"! I think that there are lots of songs that could be radio hits and that catch me at first listening!!! I hope that they promote some singles because I think that there are a lot potential #1 hit songs!!!

 

I love the classic "rose" ballads , but I'm absolutely catched by the Zaho's "squash bananas" songs!!!

Well she used to be successful in the 00s, but LMBTL and SA had a moderate success.

Aside from EUS, this song really got me excited for the album. The live start in concert is chill inducing! It blew me away. I said in my review it was a little long, maybe that's what some don't like (even though, to be honest, it doesnt really effect my love for the song. I was just trying to be a little constructive lol) ? A song this haunting and beautiful (not my words lol) can't be so boring if it is shorter maybe?

This is immensly impressive because none of these albums was promoted. Celine has been here once in 1995 promoting TCOML. She has not given a single concert here.

 

D'elles and Sans Attendre came with average reception. Same goes for LMBTL. However LMBTL sold almost 100k copies here because it was given away with a newspaper called ''Real News''. It is a tactic in my country to include music albums in this newspaper, every relevant greek singer has done it and the sales are taken into account for certifications. Based on that LMBTL is eligible for Diamond certification here.

 

Worst thing you will hear about Celine in Greece is ''she is boring but what a big voice''. Greek people really admire her for her talent and she has a solid fan base IMO.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but the US Amazon version is in a standard jewel case, not digipak...
