rfkavanagh Posted April 17, 2026 at 07:28 PM Posted April 17, 2026 at 07:28 PM I have a really random question about the Encore Un Soir CD releases - wondering if anyone else had a similar experience or can confirm something for me. (Given all the activity around Dansons, this is probably the worst time to ask, but anyway...) I vaguely recall having issues with Amazon US when I pre-ordered the deluxe CD and received what seemed to be a standard CD. IIRC, I returned that for a replacement. I've had a sealed EUS CD ever since - which I assume is that replacement. The CD I have looks to all intents and purposes to be the standard digisleeve CD. The track listing only shows the standard 12 tracks, and the hype sticker on the front doesn't say anything about being a deluxe edition or mention any deluxe tracks. BUT, the barcode on the back has been stickered over with a replacement barcode, which is the Deluxe Edition barcode. So, my question: is anyone aware of deluxe editions ever being released in standard edition packaging? I really don't understand how that would happen, but I can't think of any other reason why I would have a deluxe edition barcode stickered over a standard edition barcode on the outer wrap. Maybe there was an error during manufacturing where they mistakenly packaged a run of deluxe discs in standard sleeves, and rather than repackage everything they just opted to add a sticker? Kind of annoying if true, since the packaging wouldn't match the disc, but it would have been a cheaper option than having to repack an entire factory run. And yes, the obvious solution here is to open the disc and check! But if it's just the standard release I'd like to sell it as a brand new, factory-sealed item, which obviously wouldn't be the case if I open it. Told you it was a random question... Quote

Not aware of a misprint or CD misplacement in wrong packaging. This is likely just the standard edition again incorrectly labeled as deluxe. This is something I’ve grown to expect of Amazon sadly. The official US edition only has 12 tracks, so anything deluxe should have been labeled as import, or perhaps even marketplace. If this is a marketplace (third party) listing, they can literally stick anything on it and claim that it’s something else, there is little Amazon can do other than take the item back. You can try eBay, look for genuine exact-item photos, and pay the international shipping fee if it’s coming from Canada or France, that’s what I would do Another option is to order directly from FNAC or Archambault, but thy charge arm and leg for shipping and honestly I’m not sure if they’re even in business anymore Quote I'll always be with you

I'm just curious about this particular CD. It was purchased brand new directly from Amazon (not a third-party vendor) at time of release and is an EU-made product (not US) that's been stickered over with the deluxe barcode, not an Amazon stock code sticker. I was just wondering if anyone else had received something similar at the time and might have an explanation before I break the seal, but I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and open it to confirm for myself... Oh I see, I get the question now I’m 99.95% sure there is no such thing as a deluxe 15-track CD packaged in a standard 12-track digisleeve. It is most likely Amazon’s screw up, they probably didn’t have the standard European bar code in their inventory, due to there being a US version, so they slapped a new barcode on it - the first one they found online, or realizing it’s the wrong one But do let me know how it turns out. I’m a collector too and always curious Quote I'll always be with you

Not unexpected, but disappointing - I was kind of hoping there'd been a mix-up and I'd end up with an extra copy of the deluxe, but it was not to be... Damn Amazon and their stupid, incorrect barcode sticker! Quote

Celine Fan 77 Posted August 26, 2026 at 08:27 AM Posted August 26, 2026 at 08:27 AM Don’t know about you guys but this album represents a major moment in my life. I just can’t believe it’s been a decade! I will forever associate this recording with the loss of René (which was still pretty recent at the time), seeing Céline at the opening night of her Summer tour in Antwerp, dating the guy that I was with at the time, starting the final year of my university days… Crazy how Céline’s music is always there, every step of the way! 6 Quote Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)
