ordinary fan Posted September 15, 2018 at 07:59 PM Posted September 15, 2018 at 07:59 PM And like the first "I Want You To Need Me" music video...what? Is there another one? Quote
Bruno Portugal Posted September 15, 2018 at 08:37 PM Posted September 15, 2018 at 08:37 PM what? Is there another one? Yes! Produced by Paul Hunter. A really big name at the time. Some say it was a very edgy music video and so Sony Music decided to film another in a more conservative style. IMO we need to move on and forget the EUS music video (like many forgot the IWYTNM one) BUT not the 2016, 2017 & 2018 DVD documentary. That DVD must be released! And you´re right, a DVD is another thing than an unreleased musicvideo for a song which actually has one already. These DVD´s must be released. They would sell like crazy I´m sure Edited September 15, 2018 at 08:44 PM by ordinary fan Quote
comingback Posted September 15, 2018 at 08:57 PM Posted September 15, 2018 at 08:57 PM (edited) what? Is there another one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPg9CVtmXQw The first IWYTNM video was about sexual abuse. I think it was to controversial for Celine image. So Sony/Renereleased a clean version. Edited September 15, 2018 at 08:59 PM by comingback 4 Quote
maki_Dion-er Posted September 16, 2018 at 12:41 AM Posted September 16, 2018 at 12:41 AM So in this controversial video Celine's character was suffering from sexual abuse but how does that tie in with the song? They don't really go hand in hand. I do wish Celine would sing about some serious issues, allow herself some "controversy".Maybe she could change the topic of some of her songs to some current topics, sing about other things than just love. Instead of only changing the style of music also change up what she sings about. That would get people talking about her even more imo cause she's well known for her love songs. 2 Quote

They don't really go hand in hand. I want you to need meLike the air you breatheI want you to feel meIn everything Victims of sexual abuse often blame themself. They are emotionally dependent on the offender (which often happen in a marriage). They don't want to accept that the man they once loved abuse them. Because they want to maintain their marriage, they don't report it to the police. In the song This Time the woman is strong enough to realize the situation and end the relationship You break meTo just say you're sorryYou call this love? But this time your liesAre not enoughThis time. In the song This Time the woman is strong enough to realize the situation and end the relationship I think this song paired with sexual abuse can give off the wrong message. I would have been too close to romanticizing abuse. I'm glad they abandoned this video. Now, a video for This Time would have been a good idea. 2 Quote
ryba Posted September 16, 2018 at 10:29 AM Posted September 16, 2018 at 10:29 AM (edited) I don’t think that this is what Diane Warren had on her mind when she wrote the song. For the music video, I wish they would keep her hair style from the unreleased video cause this wig looks weird Edited September 16, 2018 at 10:29 AM by ryba Quote
Moleque20 Posted October 23, 2018 at 02:25 PM Posted October 23, 2018 at 02:25 PM (edited) The queen of French Pop, Mylène Farmer, released her new album 2.5 weeks ago. Her fans are proud that she has sold 99K during the first week and around 120K during the first 2 weeks. No other album in France since 2016 had sold so many copies during its first week, the media claim. If we compare these numbers with EUS's first and second weeks, we can say that Celine HAS SLAIN NOT ONLY MYLENE AND IS ABLE TO SLAY EVERY ARTIST AND EVERY ALBUM in the French market. She is the real Queen of charts and sales. P.S. EUS sold around 310K during the first 2 weeks. Edited October 23, 2018 at 02:26 PM by Moleque20 6 Quote Les étoiles tombent une à une. Unisono Posted November 14, 2018 at 01:26 PM Posted November 14, 2018 at 01:26 PM Just listened to this album again and I must admit that there are a few songs that are very strong, emotional and beyond the average both musically and lyrically expecially je nous veux, tout ces choses le bonheur en face, ma force and a la plus haute branche. It's a shame they used les yeux au ciel as a promotional song and that plus qu'ailleurs was never performed live. 6 Quote
ordinary fan Posted November 24, 2018 at 04:01 PM Posted November 24, 2018 at 04:01 PM I hope that she will sing songs like ma faille, je nous veux, tu sauras, les yeux au ciel, toutes ces choses... live in a french concert in the future. I have a feeling, that these songs would do very well one stage, especially ma faile Quote
nuts2you Posted November 25, 2018 at 08:31 PM Posted November 25, 2018 at 08:31 PM In 2017, Encore Un Soir was certified DIAMOND in France. The album still holds the record for the biggest first week sales by any female artist of all time in France and has sold 800K+ there alone and 1.5 MILLION globally. 4 Quote
Javito Posted November 25, 2018 at 08:41 PM Posted November 25, 2018 at 08:41 PM (edited) And more it would have sold if it had included that promised bonus DVD including "les coulisses" with the making of the album, instead of a stupid calendar People love to see the stories behind the songs and the recording process of them. Too bad Sony doesn't care at all about details like this and Céline is even more careless focused more in sponsoring clothing for children. #CarelessSony/Celine Edited November 25, 2018 at 08:42 PM by Javito 6 Quote "Hush, now...
