Taiwan released the new French album today. I want to share some pictures wth you.

 

I bought the Deluxe Edition (imported from the EU, with Chinese sticker) and Taiwan Edition (normal edition with Chinese lyrics).

I am so happy Celine finally released the new French album.

Omg, u bought both. Just called to Malaysia CD store but then she asked me to call again next week. Damn. Usually only one version is available in malaysia. Hopefully is the deluxe one

How does it work with individual songs max? If people buy albums the songs don't count?

 

If someone buys the whole album, it will count for the album chart.

If someone buys indywidual tracks, each will count for the singles chart...and in few countries for the albums chart too (for example the US).

I like seeing SCAR charting higher than any other never-performed song! Out of the songs I discovered while listening to the album it is my favorite.

 

Do you think it could work as a single? I am undecided... on one hand it is not very modern, on the other hand it has a very memorable chorus and JV always gives hits.

Yes but this type of journalist will never enjoy a Celine Dion album

She likes Renaud... A really trash singer who "writes" song about politics, police and that kind if thing... Really French stuff I hate! Boring songs without melody, that pretentious "Bobo'' loved because it looks intelligent to listen that kind of thing.

If you want to talk about politics, or police or rasism: read a book.

I love music with real melody.

Melody are like vibrations of the soul for me.

This journalist has already written a really bad article about Celine when she was in Paris.

Jealous people. How can we not love Celine ?!!!

People who don't like her in France don't get that Celine talks French but she isn't French and she has another way to be and react to the world.

They are criticising her on fb because she tells everything about her life, but they are doing the same thing on fb a'd instagram. The only differences is that no one cares about them because they are not famous.

I read horrible things when René, so tired of those French people who are disgusting and jealous about Celine.

I played the album twice, I don't know what to say about the songs yet. But I like what I hear Maybe after few days we could do a poll to choose the second single

As much as it pains me to say this, but I have to join the small minority here who is less impressed with the album.

 

'Encore un soir' is of course great, ALPHB is very poetic despite a rather weak chorus, 'Toutes ces choses' is touching and I appreciate the subtle charm of 'Plus qu'ailleurs', but the rest is unfortunately less pleasant to my ears.

 

The songs by Zaho sound as cheap and banal as I had feared - and they will sound oldfashioned in only a few years. The same applies to 'L'etoile' and 'Les yeux auc ciel'. These songs are on the level of 'Rain, Tax' from ANDHC, and it is a real pity that such weak material has found its way on one of Celine's French albums.

 

'Le bonheur en face' is 'I believe in you', version 2, and is as predictable and boring. And 'Je nous veux' equally ressembles a song from, as someone wrote somewhere (can't remember), a bad French musical.

 

I will listen a few more times, hoping strongly that this will grow on me, but I am not that optimistic. Been a fan for ages, and this is the first French album I feel so badly about.

Si c'était à refaire sounds like Le monde est Stone. The melody is quite similar when she says :

"laissez moi me débattre" in LMES, and "si c'etait a refaire" in SCAR i hope you understand med

Yesterday the vinyl edition was listed in Fnac for just 13,95 €, but it has disappeared today.

 

BTW, I'm waiting for your review... Pretty sure you'll be disappointed at first and then you're gonna true love some songs. Just my thoughts.

I'm only on Ma Faille and I am in love so so so much. Isn't this album amazing?! There's like 10 other songs. Not listening to previews did wonders. Didn't know what to expect and was amazed!!!
