anyone who is disappointed with this shouldnt be...its so subtle and beautiful - pink did a greta job and its easily one of celine's most authentic songs in english. love it. love that it kinda sounds like a lulaby with a country twist.

On first listen I'm absolutely loving it! Can't wait to buy it tomorrow.

Also absolutely delighted that P!nk herself re-tweeted my tweet earlier on! Amazing!!

People didn't complain about the Celine logo on every cover (minus D'eux) from 1993-2000 (2002 if you count that little stamp on ANDHC). Why are we complaining about font now? The font they've been using is modern and current. Was the recycling of the Celine logo unimaginative? According to most on here, it wasn't. In fact some wish it would be brought back. Would it be nice for nostalgic purposes? Maybe on a collection. The music is the most important part, and we have you guys sitting here nit picking every minor detail. Focus on the song. It's delivery and it's meaning. These things are what is most important right now.

Yes and no. From an artistic point of view, pictures and design also belong to the package in which music comes, which is the CD. Music is a product too. If the artwork looks cheap/lazy/unimaginative, like all Céline CDs look recently, there's a right to remark on that aspect too, same as the music itself.

And why on Earth would someone complain about the use of the classic logo between 1993 and 2002? What was to complain about? That logo was beautiful, and it was Celine's identity on music. And everywhere. May I remind that they used that logo everywhere on each and every product, and where somebody saw that logo, they knew who it was behind, even if there wasn't a picture of Celine behind it. We cannot say the same today, unfortunately -_-

Sorry but most of all, I don't get your point of bringing Céline's classic logo here and the random use of different fonts they've been using lately for her music covers, and since 2003. To me comparing both its like night and day, honestly. There's simply no comparison.

Well in the first verse she says 'I am recovering....' then in the second verse she switches to 'I am A recovering.....' So in the second verse, these are things she is admitting to, I could be totally wrong? So that's why I don't understand the line 'hold it against her' unless she's bad at holding grudges?

The devil, I take it as the addiction or sickness in Rene's case????

One little note though is her pronunciation of the word "off" to me she is saying "of". Unless she is trying to tell us the devil is shaking????

you are crazy... :giggle: Edited by québecflower

I don't get the lyrics ... what is she singing? "I am A recovering"??? And "shake off the devil"??? Could pls. someone help me understand?

I agree, and also the statement that she was "reckless and wild." When was Céline reckless and wild? It sounds like somebody who recovered from drugs (which Pink did, years ago--Bravo to her but that was Pink, not Céline). And it also sounds like somebody who was in a rough relationship and is recovering from the break-up. Not recovering from sickness or death of a loved husband.

Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful song. But it sounds like something that Pink would have written for Pink, and then as an afterthought, said maybe this would be nice to send to Céline because Rene passed.

Just my thoughts. It's beautiful, and of course Céline sings is fabulously. That's the most important thing, right? As long as she likes it, and it sounds beautiful.

Don't hate me. But I like the cover.

I like the color, I like her face (she shouldn't be smiling on the cover of that type of the song), I like her hair, I like her clothes (a little bit of boob action!). I like how it's simple. And I'm an architect, so I do understand design and that kind of stuff! B) :-D

I also think Encore un soir album cover is her best in a long time, so I don't understand all the complaining.

I love the image of her on the front - i hate the font and as a graphic designer i LOVE this font usually when its used right - its one of my favourite modern art deco fonts, but on celines stuff they keep using it horribly. Especially here....what is that!? just slapped on the corner. it needs to be smaller, tracked right out and all white

When I see that cover and the title "Recovering", I can't help but thinking in all the covers she has recorded throughout her career. It's a good title to release that 10 CD box set with all the covers of Céline Dion :mdr: :giggle:

This all seems a bit rushed to me. I think we're heading for a similar fate to The Show Must Go On. I hope they aren't expecting this song to chart.

So glad it's on Spotify now and can't wait to get the physical single once it releases here in Germany. I'm absolutely in love with this and it resonates to me very well personally at my current state of affairs. This couldn't have come out in a better time for me. Thank you, Pink and thank you, Celine for not going over-the-top with this gem.

O-M-G.. This song.

Finally a beautiful small song from Céline with meaning ánd that is autobiographical.

And it's just as Pink has said...she wanted to hear Céline's soul and not hear her belt or wail.

Got goosebumps when it started, but I cried when the part with "Hold me.... " starts. WWow.

It's as if Céline wrote the song herself. It's all about her and René.

This is the perfect time for her to release a song like this. 2016 is her year of Recovering.

Next year will be whole different....

But wouldn't it be great that IF they put the song on her new English album, it will be a duet version with Pink and/or with a different arrangement.

Couldn't agree with more we just want Celine keep signing.....

For fans out there .....Celine don't need big production arrangement.....she herself is a great masterpiece.....pure Angelic voice and those who gone thru in life will appreciate the song more ....instead of just another song ......I'm really recovering indeed.....so I really feel what celine is feeling, interpreting ....thx God celine recovering so fast

Wondering do our dear Celine sing to chart or just sing .....to me ...she has been there and she don't need to chart to earn more follower n ppl to love her music ....those who love celine will continue .....a great treasure will be discovered even without strong promotion ......

First listen was not really into it, but then encore un sour was kind of the same. By the third listen, at home on nice sound...it's gorgeous.

She sells the song when she does the bridge and finishes with "tell him I love him..."..... I think it's beautiful. And there are no big bombastic notes. I think America will like this more than LMBTL but kidna odd it's just dropped? Will she maybe release the album in December? (no shows this Christmas)

the cover is fine - the type / design is not - for anyone who is offended - you can use this version instead haha

Much better the orginal font looks like a font for the next Flintstone movie.

Ok so for me, I never love a Celine song on the first listen. Some I like right away some I don't but then after more listens, I end up really loving almost all songs. Its like I have a delay in my brain! I am feeling this with this song. I know it may be strange but that's how I am. Actually think the cover photo is perfect for this song

I feel like I'm the only one who likes the cover photo. For me, it shows her looking a little uncertain, but the same expression shows that she's hopeful for the future, and thus "recovering". Maybe I'm thinking way way too much into this... But is it wrong that I actually like it?

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

The expectations and the negativity of some people here ... I call it "strange".

Céline sings her heart out, sings such personal words, such a song - and you can talk about whether it "hit-potential" has ..?!?!?!

Do you have those fans, you do not need enemies.
