Unisono Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:16 PM Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:16 PM Oh well...that's one kind of song that you hear on someone else's album and you wonder: why didn't celine record a song like this? And then...here it is! Definitely love the "little by little, day by day part" and the bridge. I think I don't like the sound of her voice when she does some of the "ohoh"...and the second I AM recovering... Quote

Popular Post Del Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:20 PM Popular Post Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:20 PM This had to be the surprise of the week for me. While it's not what I was expecting from Pink, after listening to it the first time it's exactly what it should be. I can feel the emotion, the pain and her moving on. It's the closing of one chapter of her life but will never forget what they had. The song hits home for me as this is a difficult time of year for me being the anniversary of my grandmother's passing away next week. This song for me talks about needing recovering after loosing someone very close to you. Sometimes I find if you can relate to a song it makes it that much more memorable and special and one that you will hold close to your heart while going through difficult times. The song will do a lot of people some good. 14 Quote Instagram: @delphis78
yellowrose14 Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:46 PM Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:46 PM The vocal quality is the central thing for me... As far as the "reckless and wild" line goes, I do think Celine's love for Rene was like that for her particularly in the beginning. It took on deeper and more mature qualities quickly, but she is a passionate person. Remember, she said every day was like a first date for her. But, I will agree that the lyrics aren't an exact fit, but she makes them work. I really like it!!! Quote
minolli Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:46 PM Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:46 PM I am blown away by Celine's vocal on this song. So, so beautiful and poignant. 3 Quote http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lsg43qJH1b1qa4phqo1_400.jpg

manilou Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:54 PM Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:54 PM (edited) Thank god this is what it is... It's like an English Parler à mon père... smooth, subdued, emotional! Those of you who just expect the big belts should go find another singer...I hope she won't overdo it with the performance and show the real emotions that she must feel singing this song... I hope for a Adele at the Brits singing Someone like you moment.... but I fear I may be disappointed... oh and someone should have told her that it's peace not beace Edited September 8, 2016 at 11:56 PM by manilou Quote http://s03.flagcounter.com/count/idbH/bg=FFFFFF/txt=000000/border=CCCCCC/columns=6/maxflags=248/viewers=3/labels=0/.jpg
Popular Post Cafe67 Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:57 PM Popular Post Posted September 8, 2016 at 11:57 PM I find it funny that people complain every time a new song comes out. Instead of appreciating each song for its differences, people immediately start criticizing. I remember an interview where Celine was talking about wanting to record only with JJG because he was so comfortable or relaxed in his approach to recording new songs. He asked her to "unsing" as I remember it - to quit trying to hit the biggest, highest notes and just sing. She said American audiences just want to hear the big notes - like David Foster saying he could get Whitney Houston to sing the song All By Myself if Celine couldn't handle the bigger note. Really, I think Celine recorded that song just to prove she could, but I also think she probably wanted to tell him where he could stick it - and she probably would've told him that if it wasn't for Rene always being such a convincing businessman. With "Recovering", we finally got a relaxed English song with a huge emotional investment which is what many of her French songs feel like, and it's not enough to please the critics. Honestly, there's just no pleasing some people. I don't know how Celine does it because I would've walked away from the constant criticism ages ago if I were her. 10 Quote

There always some complaint because every time some don't like it, not always the same(it can be said than some are more difficult) I like Overjoyed and Tant de temps, do i go on the warpath and say people are difficult? it just that i'm one of the only one to like it. I don't feel special, i don't think i have better taste. I'm just happy to listen to the songs. I like that new song, but i can already say that i will continue to listen to Tant de temps much more than this one, a matter of taste. 1 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....
manilou Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:07 AM Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:07 AM Don't expect too much of an impact from the special. Despite the fact that it was shown by almost every mayor channel in the US, only 1,8 million watched it last time... that's extremely low... CelinesDIVO5 Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:09 AM Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:09 AM Yes and no. From an artistic point of view, pictures and design also belong to the package in which music comes, which is the CD. Music is a product too. If the artwork looks cheap/lazy/unimaginative, like all Céline CDs look recently, there's a right to remark on that aspect too, same as the music itself. And why on Earth would someone complain about the use of the classic logo between 1993 and 2002? What was to complain about? That logo was beautiful, and it was Celine's identity on music. And everywhere. May I remind that they used that logo everywhere on each and every product, and where somebody saw that logo, they knew who it was behind, even if there wasn't a picture of Celine behind it. We cannot say the same today, unfortunately Sorry but most of all, I don't get your point of bringing Céline's classic logo here and the random use of different fonts they've been using lately for her music covers, and since 2003. To me comparing both its like night and day, honestly. There's simply no comparison. I agree that packaging is also important. It's just not as important in a climate where the majority of people are buying music online. It doesn't have the same significance as it used to. The current font they've been consistently using since 2011 is rather nice and modern. The photo shoot for LMBTL fit very well for the album and the font looked great on it. Originally those photos were supposed to be for "Sans Attendre" where honestly, it would not have fit at all. I bring up the classic logo, because it was consistently used for years and looked nice and nobody complained. The font they're using now is also nice and not dated and looks great...which is why I don't understand why everyone is complaining. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

Nmj Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:48 AM Posted September 9, 2016 at 12:48 AM I will say that with every listen the song is growing on me more and more. Her vocals are give me goosebumps that was never the problem for me, the only problem I had/have yes her voice sounds AMAZING and so EMOTIONAL but the song itself doesn't have a clear Climax, Beginning, Middle and End. Nevertheless it's beautiful and the vocals are better than the whole LMBTL album. 1 Quote

Xpresso Posted September 9, 2016 at 01:04 AM Posted September 9, 2016 at 01:04 AM This is a gem of a song!! And who cares if its charts or not. It's not the purpose. It's about cancer... and it's a great choice for this TV show. I can't believe some heartless fan called it "a flat boring song"!! That fan's emotions are more flat than this song will ever be. 1 Quote
