Guys, are we sure this is the way the song is intended to sound? Has there been an official release? Or are they just testing the waters so to speak? Maybe this is just a demo before they produce the actual track?

 

I agree that it's a bit of a let down....it's a wonderful song don't get me wrong...but I was expecting something much bigger production-wise. Maybe a powerful rock ballad or something...

 

I'm SO confused!!!

Wow, I'm speechless. This is just raw emotion. If you're looking for bombastic Celine this isn't it. This is a glimpse at her soul. Really impressed with her and her team right now with how they've been handling everything. I just, wow...

To me, it's "My Love" Part 2, but not as dramatic and over the top. It's much more relaxed, just as sincere and beautiful. This song obviously means a lot to her. It's obvious she's going to sing this tomorrow, can't wait.

Really nice song. Yes, it's not bombastic, it doesn't have climax but it's a beautiful song. And I f****** love her vocals here. No nasality at all.

 

BTW, for those who are disappointed by being a Pink's song and that could be like this or like that... This is what happens when you already figure something out just by reading the name of the author... Same with Ne-Yo?

 

It could have been different, yes, but it's a deep and emotional song. I don't think it's becoming a hit, neither I think they expect it, and of course I don't believe this is the first single of the album. Just a buzz-single.

 

Edit: Don't you think her sighs at the end of the song are the best sighs ever?? That is the climax of the song

[I Drove All Night!]

I really like the song but I can't help but think, "Wait is this Céline or Faith Hill???" She sounds identical to Faith Hill especially on the words "addict" "broken" "somewhat erratic" right? I can't be the only one..... Don't get me wrong, I love Faith Hill but I want Céline to sound like Céline!

How do we know? Yes we know the story that Celine said everywhere "P!nk wrote me a song!!!" but maybe it was just a song P!nk already had for the album and thought of giving it a better use if she sent it to Céline, queen of ballads

I mean, P!nk is releasing a new album soon too. And she writes tons of songs each time (the last album had 20 songs in its deluxe edition. TWENTY ). So imagine how many songs she writes if "only" 20 make it to the album.

I think Pink did a beautiful job composing and with the lyrics. It's simple. I'm glad it's not a power ballad because it would have seemed self indulgent that way. Love the twinkling piano and her subdued vocal. It's quite gorgeous as a whole. She sounds raw and real. Definitely one of her most personal English songs. I think it ranks up there with Vole/Fly in that aspect.

I also don't get the negativity. It's pretty rare we get a song this emotional from Celine in English. It's heart-breaking and beautiful.
