I really like her voice here. No auto tune. Like a Taking Chances era again. I like it!

No way... her voice here is miles and miles better than the TC era. Lets remember that the TC era was one of the weakest eras vocally speaking and it was nasal as hell.

Her voice her has colors of the 90s vocals.

I mean in her album. Not the live ones. It's like full voice again, no auto tune unlike ker 2 previous albums SA & LMBTL

I'm having mixed feeling on this song. It is able to calm me down after getting through a long day. It is able to make me tearing while thinking of life. I love this kind of simple, beautiful and touching song.

And Celine did not imitate or sound like anyone. Her voice reminds me a lot of TC album. Skies of LA, new dawn. They all are simple but not as beautiful and as meaningful as Recovering.

Indeed, it is a "small" song. But it has a very depth, personal and emotional feeling in it. I can imagine a lot of singers singing this. It is ordinary but the voice and emotion of Celine bring this song to another level. A new benchmark of Celine. Simply beautiful

The TC wasnt bad but her vocals weren't in great shape in that era. Not compared to where her voice is right now on EUS.

It's a pretty song but mostly I love the rawness of it, the stript back instruments and of course Celine's beautiful voice, it's pretty short though and no bridge, either way it's a lovely song, sung by an amazing singer and written another abasing singer songwriter

Those words though..... 'tell him I love him' :*( *sniffle*

I love it! It is a little underwhelming because of the subdued vocals, but it is actually a very honest, beautiful way to use her voice. Although it doesn't scream SINGLE, it will be a lovely addition to the new album. There are actually lot of subtle things she does that I really appreciate. Excellent job!

What a universal song....my mind is always in the state of recovering...sometimes it takes a life time...can't wait to hear Celine sing it tomorrow night on Stand up 2 cancer written for Celine by Pink..."Recovering"

I am recovering

The faith of a child

That part of my heart...

That was reckless and wild

I am recovering

The hope that I lost

That part of my soul

That paid the cost

Little by little, day by day

One step at a time

Shake off the devil

Take back my peace of mind

I am recovering

Anxiety addict

A broken perfectionist

Somewhat erratic

I am recovering

A constant regretter

Hold it against her

At least til forever

Little by little, day by day

One step at a time

Shake off the devil

Take back my peace of mind

Hold me as I fall apart baby

Hold me here in the dark

Cause the old me

Run just as far as I could from my heart

While I'm going back to the start

Little by little, day by day

One step at a time

Shake off the devil

Take back my peace of mind

Tell him I love him

Take back my peace of mind

Humberto is the producer here?

yes Humberto and Scott Price produced the song (also John Doelp)

i think it's perfect song for the world now, it's for almost everyone and tells people that we r all recovering whatever we r going / gone through

doesn't matter if u were a victim of some sort or someone who went through battle of their life!

they should do a emotional video of it

CelineDionBitchFest.com can a few of you complainers go there please, thanks! Anewdayhascome you're like that dark rain cloud care bear that's always saying negative ish.

This song is a gem and beyond anything else she's recorded in her English repertoire. I'm glad they're promoting the song simultaneously promoting EUS. Do whatever your damn well please Céline! You deserve to live your life and make your decisions. #teamaldo #teamceline #sheneedslessbitchsasswhinyfans

This is possibly the most powerful, emotional, and personal song Celine has ever done. As beautiful and incredible as EUS is, it doesn't have the same level of raw emotion that's present here (maybe because EUS is so poetic; it almost has a little bit of an intellectual distance because of the poetry, but this song is just 100% emotion).

There are so many places that get me. .

- the "little by little, day by day," -- the way she sings it -- a kind of wistful hope, that each day will be better.

- The "hold me. . . here in the dark" . . just makes me think of "the voice in the night that whispered 'je t'aime'" -- there must have been a lot of nights when they held each other in the dark and said, "je t'aime" . .

- and the "tell him I love him" . . I just think about Celine and the twins saying good night to Rene's picture and telling him they love him . .and I just want to cry again.

The song itself (music and lyrics) is perhaps above-average-ish. But Celine's interpretation is utterly extraordinary.

I can't stop listening. I just can't. Amazing job from the engineer recording her voice. I'm obsessed with her delivery, I even find myself waiting to hear every breath of her... Just gorgeous.

Great new quality of her voice, lyrics a bit so so for me, love the silence and simplicity of it. Audiences will be happy to discover this side of Celine methinks :)

...Aside from my friend, who literally fell asleep listening to it  too calming i guess
