I just bought the record. Damn. Just...damn. Talk about one emotionally-charged, yet restrained piece of music! I hope it will be added to the Vegas show! I love it!

Shared this to my friend. She loves the calmness in Celine's voice. Unlike those I showed her last time. Then she showed it to her roommate. Her roommate said that this song is too short. just listened to the song on youtube. A little detail promoting this song - what a crap albumcover for this song! Could have been way more subtle, not the picture but the cheap font used. Anyway, the song - it is an almost acoustic. It sounds great, for sure not a hitsingle ( for this generation!) but it's nice and subtle.

It is beautifully phrased and emotionally sung.. it reminds me of a song of Mary Beth Maziarz who had songs in the 90s series Dawson's Creek.

The negative comments to this song are shocking to me.

People are always going to have differing opinions on songs but to hear it being called a bore fest, a let down, lacking power or a big belting finale...

This is a raw and emotional song about recovering from cancer. Celine sings it with dignity and strength. And how can the lyrics not make sense to someone?

THIS!!! I really think we've been given the most beautiful personal tearjeaker kind of song since Fly. Both songs relay on her personal struggle at a precise time and maybe that is why we can feel such fragility in her voice! So much better than My love or A song for you which I think ARE bore (and nose) fest. Maybe it's not hit material with string, heavy guitar and a big note but do we/she need that? On a funnier note Britney managed to make a hit out of Everytime, a song with little to no climax (and little to no voice BUT sincerity) just after her very publicized break up with Justin. So anything can happen lol.

Ok I don't know what got into me yesterday but this song is a real masterpiece. I said it before that the song itself is wonderful and Celine's interpretation takes it to a whole other level. But the production (that I was criticizing yesterday)....well I don't know what I was thinking wanting something different but this is EXACTLY what this song needs.

 

It's a masterpiece just as it is and I should have waited to listen to the entire thing before judging.
