So... I produced a song a few months back for PINK!, Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin. Apparently, PINK shared the song with Celine Dion and the rest is history. I'm so happy for my friends Tom and Allen that another great song is out there doing good for many. They say "emulation is the highest form of praise" so I'm honored Celine and her producer deemed my arrangement worthy of replicating. It would have been fun to be on this version but I'm glad to have had it pass thru my hands at some point.

Céline should promote her new song on Instagram. And it would be great if Pink did so too :)

So... she got 100,000 views in one day... that's less than half of what TSMGO (screech version) got on the first day :wtf:

Wow. The live performance made me get goosebumps.. Brilliant. Its a painful song that many can relate to.

i don't see negative comments from other sites. It's all positive. I think the one who is given negative comments is lady gaga's new single Perfect Illusion especially PerezHilton

Perez Hilton always praises Céline which is good but always fails to stay objective when it comes to Gaga. Too bad! I saw some comments on french sites saying that she obviously doesnt care about her french fanbase, that EUS was just another lure to sell records without really focusing. People do think shes moving on with her french record already when it's clear that this single is only out because of SUTC. Which french peuple barely know here. Overall, the french reviews praise the song nonetheless!

So that means the song was not written for her esspecially and explains why some lyrics seem to talk about Pink and do not relate to Celine at all

Everybody bought the song? Everybody share it on social media? What about streaming? So far the views on YouTube are low...

Let's stream it at least till the end of tracking week on Thursday (September 15th).

She has a chance to chart only because of this first week sales/streams.

"The Show Must Go On" charted in few countries, including France at #23. Although my dream is a Billboard Hot 100 entry in the US :)

I was on facebook and saw that Celine was trending and I clicked on it. I scrolled because I wanted to see people's opinions about Recovering and stumbled upon this guy's comment who's name is name is Sal Oliveri. He had shared the billboard article and his comment was this:

He responded to a comment about the "emulation thing" and said this : Sal Oliveri "Thanks Paul, it's bitter sweet, as you know. Earlier this year there was a hit country single that was note-for-note copy of everything I did. But we're not alone in this experience and it is a compliment. I chose to be happy for my friends who wrote the songs and that I was able to help them get where they were meant to go..out into the world"

I don't really know what to think about it :hmm:

looks like this guy didn't write the lyric but just produced the song, but not Celine's version, only the demo.

Apparently, he was not asked to produce Celine's version of the song and that's why he feels kind of sad because someone else did this job based on his work

After one day of listening to the song,,, still in love

I wonder if this is the sound for the whole album

I mean this time they r not drowning her voice with reverb which is awesome

I don't think I've ever heard a studio song from Celine with this approach,,,, I mean compare the sound to all her other music ,, almost no reverb on the vocals with this one,,, unlike her other music even the sad ones

yes but today i think she has gained a lot of ground... last night too. Before the show she was moving slowly.. after she gained 20/30k much faster. I think this will have legs and maybe will grow. I hope at least lol

My try of the lyrics (feel free to correct).

Still don't get one or two of the phrases - maybe some day the official lyrics will solve some of these mysteries.

What counts meanwhile: Céline LOVES this song and she sings it so beautiful! What a great performance yesterday!!!

RECOVERING

I am recovering the faith of a child

By a part of my heart

I was reckless and wild

I am recovering the hope that I lost

The part of my soul

That paid the cost

Little by little, day by day

One step at the time

Shake off the devil - ohh

Take back my peace of mind

I am a recovering anxiety addict

A broken perfectionist

Somewhat erratic

I am a recovering, a constant regretter

Hold it against her

At least till forever

Little by little, day by day

One step at a time

Shake off the devil - ohh

Take back my peace of mine

Hold me

As I fall apart, baby

Hold me, here in the dark cause the old me

Run just as far as I could from my heart

When I’m going back to start

Little by little, day by day

One step at a time

Shake off the devil - ohh

Take back my peace of mind

Tell him I love him - yeah

Take back my peace of mind

Maybe we will see Celine on Grammy with this song, it's been 7 years from the last time she performed there, right? though I'm sure this year will be all about Beyonce mainly and Adele

The song is have a "lower than moderate" success on the WW iTunes. That is sad.

I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

This was the perfect opportunity to end her grieving. In France, there was EUS, and now the rest of the world have Recovering. It's a beautiful closure, Celine will be recovering constantly from her loss, but now the world knows that she's going on with her life and let's hope the first single from her english album will be a catchy song to make people smile and dance a little bit! We don't want to see Celine all sad and tired anymore. She looked so sad last night :(
