Me too! I was loving it in the beginning, but now I do even more. I am catching myself singing the lyrics randomly a LOT. I love it so much. I would have loved a big peak (big voice and all-power ballad vs just ballad) But it's still gorgeous. I just love it!

Alas I have to say that I don't like the song at all. It completely doesn't work for me. In my opinion the song is just weak, like unambitious, like written by 13-year old, like written hastly without ANY idea for music or whatever for this song. And she sings it with this manner she learned since LMBTL, and it may be working for some songs from that album, but not Recovering. It's not hot nor cold, it doesn't attract... I'm not a hater, I'm just in a disappointed not only with this song, but with most of her recent works. That's just my personal opinion. I think she goes with the flow... or maybe the pop music as a whole goes this particular strange direction.

I think you just described the essence of Celine : "Weak and Strong at the same time"

VERY VERY well said imo ;)

it's down to 101 now on iTunes USA. Depending on viewership today for Ellen it could jump back into the top 50. I was thinking maybe top 40, but it's falling quite fast...so I'd be ecstatic if it hit #40!

As it has no streaming and no radio support it will never enter the Billboard Hot 100.

Instead of climbing, the song is falling on iTunes USA.

Lol...?

Les étoiles tombent une à une. Mes émois sont de saturne.

Well this was a chocker. Expected something more bombastic from Pink.

It's cute and sweet, quite banal, but it's ok. What I love about this song is the way Céline sings. She does it in a new way. I bet Pink produced her. I like it a lot. However she sings some words as if she doens't know what they mean...... it is always a bessing to hear Céline's voice with a piano and violins.

As a song this never really lifts. Not every Céline tune needs a cresendo, but you get the idea. It doesn't feel like a song.... more like a prayer... Doesn't feel lika a track. They need to use this as an intro to the album... or an outro. It would sound extremely odd in the middle of an album. The more I think of it it would be brilliant to have it as an intro. A statement to where she is, an homage to René.

It's a song for a "Collector's Series Vol. 2", or a CD soundtrack of that gala. Not even sure if it fits in a full studio album.

already up by 12... with some radio support and streaming it could do well. But i do agree with those who say she doesnt have that support, it will be very difficult to go much higher without. But lets be honest (on a positive note :) ), no matter what anyone said about i being hit worthy, when was the last time a celine song stayed 4-5 days in itunes 100 ? This is something that more people are liking than other songs (incredible/lmbtl/water and a flame to name a few recent ones)

#89......will be interesting to see what it does after Ellen airs on the West coast--about 2-3 hours from now.

Initially thought she would enter top 40...now I'd be happy if it hit top 50 again.

Where are you following the chart position?

I really hope Sony Music USA decides to send the song to AC radio stations soon.

Yes, but still no chance to see her in the Billboard final chart. We need streaming and radfios.

although you are probably right... it does depend how high it climbs... sales are not nearly as important as they used to be... but they still matter a lot. Edited by tomier

The Youtube video where Celine does the game about rap songs has many more views than the one where she sings recovering! 142 000 vs 18 000 views!

I have no problem with her showing emotion or that she is still grieving. Shes human and it hasn't been that long. I feel that each time she has shown her emotions publicly it has been very genuine. I think it's all made her more relatable in opinion.

I agree! It's only been--almost--eight months!! Only a little bit more than half a year, that's is not much time at all. I know people who lost a loved one, say 10 years ago, and things trigger them even nowadays here and there, and make them cry all over again. Not as much as at first, but still... Grieving is a very long, personal process for many people.

The only difference is that Céline is famous and ever since it happened, everybody's asking her, "How are you?" and she has to answer these questions again and again in public. She does it quiet well, frankly, very poised and articulate. I think Céline is a great role model because she shows that you can feel OK, and sometimes not OK and that it's all OK!

That's what I like about her, she is aware that she has a responsibility being in the public eye, and I feel that her speaking so openly about her loss is helping many people cope with losses or traumas of their own. The best public figure is a healing public figure, in my opinion. The world needs it.

And like somebody else said, the naysayers will still be naysayers. Céline isn't singing for them, anyway, she's singing for the people who love her and want to hear her sing! And frankly, I heard some people saying they didn't like her or didn't know her too well, and after they saw her on the BBMA's, they think she's pretty cool now.

So, there ya go. Go, Céline!!
