tomier Posted September 12, 2016 at 03:16 AM Posted September 12, 2016 at 03:16 AM Well I think I love the song. ..I woke up this morning with the song in my head and I spent the day humming and singing it. Its a wonderful song!Me too! I was loving it in the beginning, but now I do even more. I am catching myself singing the lyrics randomly a LOT. I love it so much. I would have loved a big peak (big voice and all-power ballad vs just ballad) But it's still gorgeous. I just love it! 1 Quote
psrus Posted September 12, 2016 at 11:44 AM Posted September 12, 2016 at 11:44 AM Alas I have to say that I don't like the song at all. It completely doesn't work for me. In my opinion the song is just weak, like unambitious, like written by 13-year old, like written hastly without ANY idea for music or whatever for this song. And she sings it with this manner she learned since LMBTL, and it may be working for some songs from that album, but not Recovering. It's not hot nor cold, it doesn't attract... I'm not a hater, I'm just in a disappointed not only with this song, but with most of her recent works. That's just my personal opinion. I think she goes with the flow... or maybe the pop music as a whole goes this particular strange direction. 1 Quote

Kyle_Jared Posted September 12, 2016 at 01:53 PM Posted September 12, 2016 at 01:53 PM it's down to 101 now on iTunes USA. Depending on viewership today for Ellen it could jump back into the top 50. I was thinking maybe top 40, but it's falling quite fast...so I'd be ecstatic if it hit #40! Quote

fred Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:12 PM Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:12 PM Well this was a chocker. Expected something more bombastic from Pink. It's cute and sweet, quite banal, but it's ok. What I love about this song is the way Céline sings. She does it in a new way. I bet Pink produced her. I like it a lot. However she sings some words as if she doens't know what they mean...... it is always a bessing to hear Céline's voice with a piano and violins. As a song this never really lifts. Not every Céline tune needs a cresendo, but you get the idea. It doesn't feel like a song.... more like a prayer... Doesn't feel lika a track. They need to use this as an intro to the album... or an outro. It would sound extremely odd in the middle of an album. The more I think of it it would be brilliant to have it as an intro. A statement to where she is, an homage to René. /fred 4 Quote Peace and love to all.
Javito Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:32 PM Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:32 PM It's a song for a "Collector's Series Vol. 2", or a CD soundtrack of that gala. Not even sure if it fits in a full studio album. Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

tomier Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:58 PM Posted September 12, 2016 at 08:58 PM It started climbing back up again... now at #92already up by 12... with some radio support and streaming it could do well. But i do agree with those who say she doesnt have that support, it will be very difficult to go much higher without. But lets be honest (on a positive note ), no matter what anyone said about i being hit worthy, when was the last time a celine song stayed 4-5 days in itunes 100 ? This is something that more people are liking than other songs (incredible/lmbtl/water and a flame to name a few recent ones) Quote

phoebekins Posted September 13, 2016 at 12:36 AM Posted September 13, 2016 at 12:36 AM (edited) I have no problem with her showing emotion or that she is still grieving. Shes human and it hasn't been that long. I feel that each time she has shown her emotions publicly it has been very genuine. I think it's all made her more relatable in opinion.I agree! It's only been--almost--eight months!! Only a little bit more than half a year, that's is not much time at all. I know people who lost a loved one, say 10 years ago, and things trigger them even nowadays here and there, and make them cry all over again. Not as much as at first, but still... Grieving is a very long, personal process for many people. The only difference is that Céline is famous and ever since it happened, everybody's asking her, "How are you?" and she has to answer these questions again and again in public. She does it quiet well, frankly, very poised and articulate. I think Céline is a great role model because she shows that you can feel OK, and sometimes not OK and that it's all OK! That's what I like about her, she is aware that she has a responsibility being in the public eye, and I feel that her speaking so openly about her loss is helping many people cope with losses or traumas of their own. The best public figure is a healing public figure, in my opinion. The world needs it. And like somebody else said, the naysayers will still be naysayers. Céline isn't singing for them, anyway, she's singing for the people who love her and want to hear her sing! And frankly, I heard some people saying they didn't like her or didn't know her too well, and after they saw her on the BBMA's, they think she's pretty cool now. So, there ya go. Go, Céline!!
