Popular Post celine4evauk Posted September 13, 2016 at 11:54 AM Popular Post Posted September 13, 2016 at 11:54 AM why do UK people like to use this term 'rubbish' to describe things. Do you know what rubbish means to Americans. It means waste or garbage, it's a physical thing. Not an adjective. This annoys me so much to hear the word being used in such a wrong way. The first time I heard someone use this word wrongly I couldn't understand what they meant. Do you know how weird it sounds to the Westernized ear. Brandon Posted September 13, 2016 at 12:06 PM Posted September 13, 2016 at 12:06 PM When she performed it on StandUp2Cancer, she should have mentioned to download it and that the profits would be donated for cancer research. A lost opportunity... It was the perfect place!Celine was never one for self promotion. She always forgot what she had to say or fumbled it. It's her introducer that should say that, not Celine. Why not release it? The song was already recorded so... Honestly I think they just wanted to capitalise on her SU2C performance. She was premiering the song there and surely *some* people would look for the song later, so it only makes sense to release it, since the song it's clearly not single material and it won't go anywhere beyond those performances in SU2C and Ellen sorry She still has to release that consistent, coherent English album from track 1 to the last one, with a defined sound and reduced team of producers and songwriters. When that album arrives, I'm sure she will get back the attention she deserves. She needs to stop releasing that kind of jumble, mishmash albums full of producers and songwriters of all sorts and worlds, all put together like in a blender, press the button and "let's see what we get", like happened with LMBTL. She still can do many album projects such as the jazz album and the dance album and gather some eyes and ears here and there, but as long as she doesn't go to the full with it, it will be in vain. She still can record that Spanish album and leave all the Spanish-speaking audience (which is huge, mind to say) with their mouth open and jaw-dropping. LMBTL (song) was a great song, if only that album had kept that style line through all of it. But the fresh attempt ended with track 2 and including those bunch of random covers and nosense songs next to Sia's composition killed all credibility to that gentle attempt of her to sound relevant and fresh again. There are still many things she can do to get the attention of radios. But she stays always halfway when she gives the first step, that's the problem. She's always giving one step forward and two backwards What I'm saying with all this, is that there's only so many albums that an artist with such a vast career like Celine can do, always keeping this pattern of English album/French album/English album/French album... for more than 30 years already. She needs to break that routine and release something different, a different project. And I think it's time for her to release another concept album soon. Call it the jazz album, the dance album, the Spanish album... whatever. But I think the old formula of her habitual albums and the way they are crafted is worn out now Let's hope this will change soon, though!Well said. I've always said that too.Until they stop chasing the "hit single" this will never happen. They need to stop trying for the big chart impact and like you say focus on a coherent album that listeners actually want to listen to and love about Celine. Songs such as Taking Chances or LMBTL are fine at the time but don't stand the test of time and are quickly forgotten. Stop chasing the hit single and focus on quality material!Exactly. 2 Quote https://media.giphy....zviuO/giphy.gif

I meant whatever she releases , it will be treated that way. To me, that's fine. I like all the songs she has released and failed There's no room for an artist like Céline anymore in the US market, single-wise. A 50 year old female singer doing what she does... A/C charts are not what they used to be ( it's more pop radios now playing all the current biggest hits) so she better record what she likes ...I just don't want her to turn into some kind of Streisand. But, being a fan, it's frustrating for me not to listen to her songs on the radio, not to have her videos on TV, not to have the hit songs she deserve. That's all. I agree. But don't forget that trends and what people want come and go in waves. It might be the case that people want Katy Perry and Taylor Swift and Rhianna and whoever else right now but in a couple of years the trends might have been turned upside down. I don't have anything against any of these artists by the way...I just consider Celine to be far classier than any of them (but that is just my opinion). So just because today Celine might seem like she's not on top in terms of popularity or radio plays but in a couple of years things may be completely different. I think that if someone stays true to who they are both as a person and as an artist, they can never go wrong. So let's not lose hope! I agree that I would love for her songs to be on the radio, her video clips to be on TV etc but the fact that they aren't doesn't mean that they are not going to be in the future 3 Quote

I don't understand this way of thinking. But I'd like to. You're not happy with Céline releasing new music? It will probably be part of the album (but nobody knows) but as we don't know when the album is coming out ...not everything has to be justified( by a commercial reason). Recovering is the state she's in NOW, I wouldn't see the purpose of singing it ...well, amost 2 years after René's death ( if the album is released in the fall 2017 as previously states). 1 Quote

I get why so many were unhappy with LMBTL as an album, but it really wasn't as horrible to trashed as harshly as it is. The title track was exceptional. I love "Incredible." I think it had a nice and fresh sound, and I love it's message. "Somebody Loves Somebody" was fire, and after they leaked it and there was a decent buzz around it, it should have been immediately released as a single, regardless of the release of the track LMBTL (or lack thereof.) I prefer every live performance of "Water and a Flame" to the studio version, but we wouldn't have any live performances if it hadn't been for Celine recording it. And the tweaks they made and her involvement in making it her own is commendable. "Didn't Know Love" is beautiful. The composition is absolutely gorgeous and I think the lyrics are great. "Thank You" is I think one of my top 5 English Celine songs ever. I love it's sound and production. "Breakaway" is EVERYTHING. She should absolutely add it to Vegas. And I like how they remixed "Unfinished Song." It's schmaltz to the max, but I enjoy it. As for the covers, they're lovely, and I understand why they pushed to have them on the album. However, they should have only chosen one and they should have been between "At Seventeen" or "Open Arms." They're the only 2, production wise that would have fit the standard edition of the album and then they should have recorded a few extra new songs. The rest of the Vegas covers should have just been released on a digital, iTunes exclusive EP. At least it would have had it's own coherence there. But other than that, I thought LMBTL was rather good. 2 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
