You're right but not with this song... If she gets grammy I'm afraid it'd be a little bit out of pity. I just wish this song had been produced differently.. It has huge potential for that big bang kind of ballad.. That's my opinion.

Indeed, a good article. He chose Requiem in D Minor by Mozart as #1-interesting. I remember singing this in high school. It is a difficult piece to master.

I agree. I only recently bought it, and it is perfect. It is sad, yes. But, at the same time, sad in a way that has strength with it ( if that makes sense). It is one of my favorite songs in quite some time.

People keep comparing this to "My Love." I kept listening to find the comparison...and I just don't hear it. "My Love" is more about how Celine was struggling a little to be her own person and take a little charge in her life, and not say yes to everything to make those around her satisfied all the time, including Rene. "Recovering" is definitely not that. It's legitimately about overcoming a great loss, and learning to take everything as it comes, rather than all at once. Very different in my opinion. I just wanted to share that.

That I will agree with. Maybe not that it's more genuine, but definitely more tender. I strongly believe that she believes every word of every love song she sings. She sings them with conviction. "My Love" and "Recovering" are just a bit more biographical and show a little bit more vulnerability.

let's hope Céline gets a Grammy for this. Even if they give her for the sympathy factor.

The nomination deadline explains the release now so soon before the album. The song would go into the nomination season with more steam given all the media attention.

Sympathy or not, the song is beautiful. It deserves a nomination. I hope Pink (and her co-writers) are recognized for writing it if nothing else.

I personally wouldn't change a thing Davey. It's orgasmic to my taste the only thing I'd fix is vocal in bridge "...back to start" I can hear the remaining orchestra from the original production but this is just a tiny detail. They'd have to replace the vocal track with original recording. But kudos for isolation vocal from the rest. It's extremely difficult and well done! Aldo and the team need to hear this!

 

And yes, I'm gonna be that guy and say it.. It is better than original
