The cover is good and she looked beautiful in the pic

The vocals are just perfect, as in its best days. Clear and without imperfections.

That said, I can see her pretending to sound like P!nk at some precise points, but I appreciate that. She has always imitated other's in her songs (Bee Gees in Immortality)

I take this song as a lullaby for her husband. I can see her singing this song before René's grave next time she pays him a visit

All in all, it's a nice song. Not what I would have expected from P!nk (yes, I am to blame for creating high expectations in this aspect) but I will appreciate this song being included in the next album. It would be a perfect closer for it :)

yes Humberto and Scott Price produced the song (also John Doelp)

i think it's perfect song for the world now, it's for almost everyone and tells people that we r all recovering whatever we r going / gone through

doesn't matter if u were a victim of some sort or someone who went through battle of their life!

they should do a emotional video of it

I don't think this song needs a videoclip to be made... At most, they could use tonight's live performance, if it's good enough. A live video would suit much more than a regular videoclip in this case.

Its just seems to me like; ok, f..ck it, nobody cares about my french album ,just give it for free and lets focus on the english one?

But Why!? EUS had so much potential!

well hopefully Im wrong

Do you forget that there was a time when Sony promoted both her French and English albums at the same time, in 1998 and 1999? Having a new French single/album and a new English single is not incompatible.

It's been so many years of frustration and bad/weird promotion that the newbbies here don't remember  , but there was a time where she promoted Let's Talk About Love, S'il Suffisait D'aimer, and These Are Special Times at the same time -thar' THREE albums at once- and then BOOM, All The Way was right behind calling at the door too. Well, those golden times where she handled a double career at the same time are coming back guys. I tell you

No, I don't like it...

I am so disappointed...Pink and Celine, this could have been huge!

Sounds like a Christina Aguilera ballad, like a boring Christina Aguilera ballad....

Aguilera rejected :giggle:

just a fast photoshopped cover, but this is what i had in mind (okay yes I took clouds again, but hey it works) and suits better imo-

As Javito said, a package is just as important, esspecially for physical buying in the stores.

This is beautiful :)

Exactly, we get a brand new emotional song from Céline and some people analyze the font used on the cover... Whatever.

I'm enjoying the song. Period. Italics. Arial. Amen. :-D

It was just shocking the belief that GOD may let you be a devoted fan. Usually other ppl pray for health, or success. Not for Celine Dion. But it is your choice. I jus found the post shocking.

for me, the best cover for this single is from the pictures of D'elles

Sorry but to me that photoshoot was just awful, one of her worst ones. The false extra long eyelashes in every picture make me cringe. Her nose looks huge, thanks to the bad light and the way it reflects on her nose making it bigger than what it is is just terrible. I feel bad about the photographer, Daniella Federici, but it wasn't her best day in the studio  I've never seen her posing in such an artificial way, even more than with Mr Alix smiling Malka.

Sorry, I wanted to love this song. But I don't. It's... ok. I love Celine and her voice sounds soft & lovely. I just expected more power, better production and the song is very short. I don't know why her team can't find her better, stronger material. She is frakking Celine Dion!

Maybe you should just wait to listen to the rest of the songs, when the album is released, in about a year or less, to make such judgement with that anticipation? :innocent:

For what is worth

I've been listening to the song on a loop since 10 hours now,,

And I fell in love more and more every single time

I'm a stan,,, I fell in love with Celine because of these songs,,, I don't give a damn about the charts, if the entire album is like this it would be a dream come true

Celine is was and forever will be a ballad singer,,, she should never change that

And if Adele proved anything is that u can have an all ballads album and still be very successful

It's not the same, not at all! Adele is just a beginner; Céline has been making like 20 or something albums full of ballads. And after all that ballad fest, she needed new styles and freshen her repertoire (as she did with ANDHC).

We'll see when Adele is on her 20th ballad album if the public still loves her singing the same songs all the time... Or she needs to record different songs too, like Céline did ;)

So a FAN should never critic her music? I always have joy and excitement when listening to new material but a Fan can be criticial too and not just accept everything or say wow to everything. We are not talking about Celine's singing here, it is flawless and beautiful, Just talking about the package and the simple melody for instance. Does not make you any less of a fan.

Alright, first of all, what a surprise!! This release came out of the blue and I Love that they have done this twice now! Definitely starting to get with the times. I'm wondering now, does this mean an album is soon? I can't fathom releasing a song for an album and then the album doesn't come out for another year. That sounds absurd.

Second, when I listen to Céline, the concept of "hit" doesn't even register to me. If she ever has a smash again I'll be thrilled, but I couldn't possibly care less at this point, and it doesn't affect my opinion of her music.

Third, this is an example of how a vocal performance can make or break a weak song. I think we can all admit we were expecting something different when we heard Pink wrote her a song. It's very slow, very simple, and just nothing spectacular, but her voice is absolutely amazing in my opinion. She nails it, no nasality whatsoever, her pronunciation is fantastic (though she does sound like she's saying I am a recovering several times), it sounds like she really feels the song. It's vulnerable and emotive. For example, A Song For You is very simple, but has a pretty arrangement, however her vocals make it almost unlistenable for me. If her voice was better on that song it would make my opinion completely different. This song is saved by her vocals, and the circumstances of the song, but it is what it is, a slow and boring song that I'm thankful to have and have no further expectation of.

you took the words right of my mouth. I was listening to the song , esspecially to the piano and playing along on my piano and thought.. wow I have played this melody so very often, these chords and with just as simple thing as these chords she can take the song to another level with her way of singing. That is really amazing. I do not think it is a very slow or boring song but it is just quite predictable melody in my opinion. But she managed to take that predictable melody to the next level!

okay then I did not make myself clear , just said, that it is okay ( for you) to also be critic now and then. If a song for you or i got nothing left was the next new material i would have been happy - hey new Celine material - but when listening - ouch ;-)

I agree. There are songs I hate too (*cough* LCMM, I'm Alive, Skies of LA *cough*). But I was just saying I hope I never loose that excitement of being a fan. I see some people who are so eager to criticize everything (and I don't mean just here on the forum, but everywhere and with everything) that I just want to say 'hey, relax, enjoy'. It seems that nothing will ever make them happy. I don't want to be like that.

So, in your opinion an artist (or since you seem to not consider Celine to be a 'full artist', let's just say a singer) needs to profoundly change their musical style once they have been making music for a few years? I guess musical icons such as Springsteen, Brel, Cohen, Piaf, Elvis, Sinatra and many more didn't get that memo - and yet strangely enough they are the artists who stand the test of time and will be remembered long after those who run behind every trend will have been confined to the dustbin of musical history.

After listening to it a few times I realized the song makes me really sad. Back to EUS now. :giggle:

For me, The D'elles photographer did a great job. it looks realistic than alix. Celine smiles in alix photoshoot is like copy paste and her face looks long in recovering cover than in real life it's more a V shape in real life than in the cover.

You seem not to get any idea of what I write right  "Celine lover" said that Celine is known for being a ballad singer and just because of that, she should stick to ballads always and not trying/doing other songs. And she brought up Adele to prove that ballads are still successful. Well, I came to say that Céline has been singing ballads all her career but she also recorded other styles not only because she wanted them, but because she needed them too (as Céline has acknowledged several times), both in her tracklists but also in her shows to make people stand up and dance. And Adele eventually will need them too. It's just natural. And surely people will like uptempo songs from Adele, as people loved That's The Way It Is from Celine :thumbsup2:

Also, after dozens of Celine ballad hits in the radios during the 90's, it was just natural that the public received positively Céline's TTWII, as they raved about ANDHC and I'm Alive. Another Celine ballads like this P!nk song has second to none options to be played on radios today, but if she records an Avicii or David Guetta song it has probably some more chances to get more attention. People already know Celine can sing ballads, but they want to listen other things too. It's just a natural evolution. Same as with Adele, but the opposite. She's starting her career and people is not tired of her ballads (yet). But we'll see in 10+ years or less. The audience gets tired so soon these days.

Nevermind, enno2007, you'll pass to history as the best member looking for trouble in my posts where there is none. Always nitpicking what I say no matter if its extremely positive.

You can rest assured that I only comment on every 10th or so of your posts - otherwise I'd spent too much time in the forum, given the amount of stuff you write with which I disagree. And since you are of course always right in the end, I would only waste my time arguing with you. But sometimes I can't resist, you're just too funny :)
