I hope this song is a grower. Something tells me it will be like " Ordinarie" in terms of being better LIVE than studio, I know Celine will deliver a great live emotional performance.

EXACTLY!! They have all these expectations about a song being written by Pink. Then they complain because she sounds a little too much like Pink...or not enough like Pink. Make up your damned minds. These are people that can't be pleased...and in that case, fck off.

Ok I have to join this time. Recovering to me is a great song. Tried humming to the tune. It's just one of those beautiful songs. this is the kind of songs I want to hear from Celine. See it went to chart right away here in the Philippines that's because we love songs like this. You really just can't please everyone. But please guys Celine still needs a support, instead of complaininglet support her. She did what we asked, she surprised us with a song like what we all wanted and now we are still complaining. She's everywhere again and tomorrow she'll be on tv in one of the most seen televised program. Let's just keep it positive!!! The song is growing on me now. I am recovering... hehe

GUys if you go through the lyrics, this is exactly the description of Celine and who she is and how she confesses towards all of us when she struggled to accept the loss of her one true llove.. Rene. I am imagining her pain and her confusions and fears being alone and how she managed to keep herself together with the struggle,,, It's Celine while listening to the song I'm picturing out Celine and a montage of her and rene and now her being all alone with her kids., and a single tear just went streaming down my face. I know why she said it helped her recover, it's her song. Her own feelings... her expression.

I'm sorry but if Celine released an uptempo happy happy song after all the support the English world have given her..... I think they would be pretty peed off! This seems like a one off song to tell everyone she has turned the page .... She doesn't want her new album to be sad.... But she loves the song and it has a great message to all her English fans!

 

Now is the best time.... Next year it will be too late!

I like that song quite a lot. I don't think she sounds like pink, but the song deffinitely does. And I like it. It's got a fresh sound while still being mature and serious. I really like it a lot.

 

I've got a feeling that if they add a little more orchestra to the last verse and release a video with Celine just sitting on the chair in black and white or something, that it could be a successful single.. Maybe even a hit.

It's just that we went from "P!nk wrote me a song" to what we heard today, very fast, without any announcement, without even a word on Celine's official social media channels. And I get the feeling that this isn't what the end result will sound like. I think it's a leaked demo. And as someone else posted in this conversation, the picture and the title look well.....not up to the usual standards.

 

I don't know....I'm more in shock about how quickly this came out of nowhere and how 'in-draft-format' the whole thing sounds and looks rather than anything else. The song itself, the melody, the lyrics and Celine's interpretation are of course absolutely wonderful. But the rest of it (how the full version of the song kind of sprung up from nowhere, the 'cover' that doesn't look up to any of her standards...) well it just doesn't feel right.

But dear, that's what we've been getting since LMBTL in 2013 . A collection of highly ellaborated and with in-depth detail covers for all her singles (and albums). Remeber the cover of LMBTL single (same as the album), Incredible, then this year The Show Must Go On using the same font as in LMBTL album... How are you surprised?

You're right But there are FAR better pictures of her they could have used. I don't know I'm just shocked. A good night's sleep might make me see things in a different light

 

I insist in saying that I really like the song itself. It's beautiful. And her interpretation takes it to another level.

I agree 1000% with this. She's been grieving long before Rene died...I can't imagine how hard the last 3 years must have been. And it's time to turn the page, I couldn't agree more. But all this (and by all this I mean the releasing of the song out of the blue) still seems a tad sudden to me. That's all
