This song talks about suicide not "a person passing away"; Celine sings about seeing a person hung on the highest tree branch (just fyi)

Oh i understood that wrong sorry. But it is still a beautiful song..

I received my Encore un soir album 4 days ago and after listening to all the songs multiple times I am ready to give my feedback.

 

 

My favorite songs, not in any particular order are:

 

Ma Faille I love how different and cool Celine's voice sounds in this song. It's almost oriental sounding in a way. I just love it! :-D One of my favorites to have on repeat.

 

Encore un soir Celine's voice sounds rich, vulnerable and innocent in this song. It's a pretty melody and a touching tribute from JJG to Celine and Rene! :wub: :)

Les Yeux Au Ciel I love the many different rhythms in this song. It's very catchy and addictive! :wub:

 

Si cetait a refaire Edit: I meant to write these words about Toutes ces choses. This song in particular is so touching and sad, yet so beautiful at the same time. Celine puts so much emotion into it. Even though I do not speak the language of French, I can feel the power and emotion in this song. It makes me cry. It is one of my top favorites on the album for sure! :wub: :cry:

 

Ordinaire I love the dramatic flare in this song. Celine puts so much passion into it. I love when she sings full out like this, with dramatic music playing behind her! :-D It's a song that has grown on me more and more each time I listen to it. :)

 

A la plus haute branche This is a gorgeous song. Celine's voice is so soft and airy. Just beautiful! :wub: I love the whistling at the biginning aswell.

 

A vous :wub: Favorite song. It's so catchy. I love the beat so much. I think I have listened to this song in particular the most. I just love it! :-D

 

Trois heures vingt Of course I cannott go without mentioning this song in my favorites list. It is so sweet and touching that Celine included this song from Rene's funeral onto the album as one last tribute to Rene and to there love story! :wub:

 

 

I have to say that in my opinion, this is Celine's best French album since D'elles. Her voice is so pure, clear and rich throughout the entire album. It's her least raspy, nasal sounding album in years. I think it's perfection! :giggle: It doesn't sound rushed, like some of her other albums have sounded before. The quality and beauty of her voice shines in each and every song. :-D

 

It's so hard to pick a favorite song on this album. I have about 6 favorites, that's how good it is. I can't get enough. It's a masterpiece of pure vocal craftsmanship. Rene would be so proud! :)

Interesting..... hopefully this one will have the bonus dvd with a great behind the scenes of the recording AND the video of EUS. Even the lyric videos! :clap:

 

but most of all I would love to see LIVE performances of the new songs on the show :wub2:

It would be lame if it was only dvd with those EPK videos we have already seen...

 

But honestly I don't see anything else cause it would be weird to release a dvd from the tour with it... i think they would rather release dvd separately... no?

 

Extra songs would be sth really great as we are talking album reedition, not a tour album...

I know some of you will think I'm crazy but PQA is possibly her worst album opener IMO. L'étoile should have been the first song a la I'm Alive for ANDHC.

Was going to buy this album now, but if there is going to be a new edition coming out, then i think i will rather wait and see what that's about :wub:

It's all kind of weird. The album was released recently. The show will be shown in November, about 3 months from now. Promo should take place now, no?

 

Apparently it's just all about money. They start promo for the reedition in 3 months and all the fans will buy the album again for a second time because there will be some bonuses. Smart move. I just hope they include some really great bonuses, like bonus songs, a 2 hours documentary on DVD of making of the album, recording sessions, making of music video and photo shoot, interviews etc. And all this with ENGLISH SUBTITLES!

That's why I said they'd better have some more new songs in store to be included in that new issue of the album. It would speak volumes of their lack of respect to the fans if they just threw in again the same album disc without any new material on it only 3 months after the album release -_-

 

Yes, a DVD is nice, but I'm taking that for granted already. However it depends on the content of that DVD. If it's just another 20 min DVD with the Amazon video clip we already know, it will totally suck. And it will be a mockery to fans.

 

They need to give everyone a reason to spend money again on buying another copie of this album. That's why:

 

CD with the full deluxe album + 2/3 new songs

 

and

 

DVD with either complete making of the album

or

DVD with summer tour song selections

 

or both, that would be something to justify a rerelease :rolleyes:

I can't see Sony bothering to include a live CD from the tour and not releasing the DVD with the whole thing, honestly. Not if they're decent and professional enough with Céline fans, at least (which they've failed to be several times already :innocent: )

This new reedition should also include a DVD of the TV special where she performs all the new songs of the album live in front of an audience. They could easily shoot it in Vegas at the Colosseum as a special concert dedicated to the album, just like they did with 1f&4t in 2003. Gosh, we should work for her... Edited by ryba

It would be also smart to rerelese the album with a big making of on a DVD and then release the summer tour as a CD/DVD package (like USF). Two releases towards the Xmas season = money for Sony + great treats for the fans

Who of you did open their bag with ribbons? No more ribbons team Celine. Consider which people buy the album! I Agree that either more songs should be added and a live dvd of last summer tour or a live cd of that tour please.

I know some of you will think I'm crazy but PQA is possibly her worst album opener IMO. L'étoile should have been the first song a la I'm Alive for ANDHC.

 

Plus qu'ailleurs is a great choice as the first song in my opinion. This is the kind of Celine that I'm familiar with. I like this feeling of familiarity. L'étoile is of course a nice and pleasantly surprising scene change:)

I bought the standard version from amazon, and I probably have been literally listening to the album for over 50 times, in gym, having meal, cooking, shower... Somehow this time there isn't one single song I feel like I have to listen to it because it's from Celine. Never felt this way from her previous albums, not to mention cried on Encore Un Soir even though didn't understand the lyrics much...

It is beautiful and sad and the lyrics are beautiful too.
