Maybe their goal is to see how many copies the album as a whole (digital and physical through Amazon) will sell in the US, without YT streams amongst others (as it could "harm" sales). You don't know what their reasoning could be, besides being a license/money thing.

I am Egyptian. Celine is very loved in the Arabic-speaking world, especially since the Titanic. We here appreciate the voice even if we do not understand the words. Celine´s voice is beautiful and carries so many emotions with it, so we love her

Sony releases singles / songs / lyric videos (NOT music videos as that is solely under the discretion of the record label and the artist's team) once Columbia okays it to various media, including YouTube. But even to do that, they need to come to terms with the associations/unions/organizations in the respective country. For example, GEMA in Germany vehemently blocks a whole lot of songs/videos from being viewable on YouTube in Germany, same is the case with other such unions in other countries. For each upload, fees need to be paid for EACH AND EVERY upload. It can get tedious to go through it in all countries, so record labels just see the potential markets after a thorough research. I think most youtube audios from the album aren't viewable in Quebec is solely for wanting the people to go and buy the album as it counts as one point while one stream on youtube is calculated as a percentage, so it is more beneficial if people buy the physical album.

I'm very glad you clarified this. Every post on here seems to be a complaint about how the label and the management team are doing their job. I'm sure that the management team have considered all the things that people here complain about and I am sure they have their reasons for not doing something or for doing something. It can't just be that they're stupid!!!

Usually the songs that were uploadad first and last have the most views.

You know what i don't understand is that they want to sell this album but give away all tracks for free on her youtube VIVO account! Of course you make it very easy for people to not buy the album since you already have it on her official youtube channel for free..

Okay, I'll try to say this without infuriating myself.

 

What's with all the video uploads on VEVO today, of the audio of all songs? That's nice. Nice start. We now can post videos of the songs' audio. But if they have spent money on doing

1) a lyric video of a 32 year old song, Trois heures vingt,

2) not only a lyric video, but a completely TRUE video with an actress in the video, in different locations,

 

If they're not giving the same treatment to the NEW songs in the album, I'll be a little angry. And I'm sure I won't be the only one

 

In a nutshell, how can they possibly do a lyric video of a 1984 song with a real actress in it and not release lyric videos of all the new songs?

 

I can't wait to share these new songs with my friends. But if all they're going to do is upload lame videos with the album cover and the audio playind behind, I'm so done with this new team They already messed up with the timing for EUS videoclip. I hope they don't screw it up more with the rest of the songs.

 

Pd: Okay maybe I'm anticipating a little here but we saw what happened with EUS videoclip, and the clock is ticking already. If they spent money and time doing all what they did for Trois heures vingt, how on earth they don't have lyric videos for the rest of the songs already prepared? Come on, they deserve much more than those "audio videos"

 

Because this song has a very special meaning. They "promote" it now because this is the right timing. With the album release this is the new chapter which opens. New songs. New sound.

They gave this song the fair treat at the right moment.

I've heard they still haven't set a date on the video release (it is done though) and there will also be more EPK vids (like the one they released for EUS with interview bits inbetween). And they haven't decided on a 2nd single yet.

 

BUT....I have a feeling it will be "Les yeux au ciel"...also coz she performed it le Le Grand Show.

Anyone can stream a whole album on Spotify today for free today... It's not a big deal to upload the audio of the songs on Youtube.

And what's wrong with Beyoncé? She's a so very intelligent artist, probably one of the most clever artists out there. Not only she sings but she handles a great deal of the "business" side of her career, including marketing and promotion. She's very supportive and has her own foundation too. So I woudn't precisely compare Céline with Beyoncé because Céline would pale in a lot of aspects (and I'm not a fan of Beyoncé) .

 

Besides, who said that heart and marketing cannot talk the same language? You can be Céline Dion and still have the best PR and marketing team working for you and your fans

Céline's success did not come from a strong marketing process, but actually despite of it. Plenty of things were wrong in terms of singles/videoclips releases in the 90s (anyway until late 90s Sony cared more about Mariah, the boss' s wife, than Celine). But she succeeded because she had to. Her uniqueness and her values are the proper reasons and not her PR team. IT is frustating but it is fine because it is her. And it will not change because she is not interested in this this. She is a performer. She loves to sing. She is meant to sing. That's all.

Lol sure but not certain that it will ever happen. I mean with Aldo there is a huge improvement if you compare to the previous years (even decades). You can always do better and you should work for this. But there is always a limit. With time things may change. It's step by step. And not all at once. Goal is that the English album is marketed even better because it's where she is weaker and it will be much more difficult to break the ice.

 

Anyway I am always seeing things half full, and not half empty 😄😉

It seems something's coming up next week. I don't know her promo schedule for this album as I haven't been following too much lately, so perhaps to coincide with something happening later in the day, the video may premiere on Vevo or some show early in the day.
