isurrender Posted September 2, 2016 at 12:26 PM Posted September 2, 2016 at 12:26 PM She's a so very intelligent artist, probably one of the most clever artists out there. Not only she sings but she handles a great deal of the "business" side of her career, including marketing and promotion. She's very supportive and has her own foundation too. So I woudn't precisely compare Céline with Beyoncé because Céline would pale in a lot of aspects (and I'm not a fan of Beyoncé) What you call clever, I'd call it "opportunism". Beyonce is precisely (almost) everything I despise in this society : giving credits to someone who doesn't deserve it. Of course, she is talented, I don't deny it but she has created her own legend. I mean: she has "bought" it. She managed to reach the icon status she wanted to ( back then she clearly stated she wanted to be a legend) and made people think she is behind all this. But she's not. She is so powerful in the music industry ( and even more with her relationship with Jay-Z) that she can do whatever she wants to. Even her fans agree with that and she is mocked all around the web for being credited for songs she didn't write or paying for her awards... (just to name a few things). She got all the "values" I don't like. But she can do whatever she wants , she hasn't got a song that passed the test of time for a long time. She won't be remembered for her music. Sorry for being off topic. 6 Quote

Posted September 3, 2016 at 12:04 AM Popular Post Posted September 3, 2016 at 12:04 AM Hi friends, I don't know about you but I enjoy having the lyrics along with the translations to sing go over when I first start listening to a french album. I created a translation booklet and thought I would share with my fav Céline friends (aka all of you!). I am not fluent in French so the translations are my interpretation and may not be 100% accurate but they should give you the general idea. Listening to this album with the translations really brings it to a whole other level. The album is so incredibly personal and really does paint a picture of what Céline and her family have gone through and felt in the last few years. This album is so moving and intimate. I would prefer if people did NOT share this booklet with other websites or fan groups- if you do want to share please reach out to me and get my permission first. Thank you!!! (Also, looking through the booklet the genius of JJG is so painfully obvious.... wish he had written more for this album )EUS Lyrics.pdf 21 Quote

mike_z Posted September 3, 2016 at 05:13 AM Posted September 3, 2016 at 05:13 AM TU SAURAS is now by far the most played song off the album on YouTube. I think by now we could say it's the perfect choice for a single... but not yet... let's first let ENCORE UN SOIR achieve as much as it can! 2 Quote
Angel2006 Posted September 3, 2016 at 05:16 AM Posted September 3, 2016 at 05:16 AM Well, the whole album is For him and she's Always talking about him everywhere and Everytime, which I love!!! Plus, the album has their picture together with TVEC and another quote about life and Death. I think we can't complain What does TVEC mean? I was trying to figure it out, but I have know idea what it could stand for. Quote

TVEC stands for "Tout va être correct," meaning "Everything will be okay." The acronym became important in Celine's life when the letters first appeared on balloons celebrating when Rene beat cancer the first time in 1999. Gulenkov Posted September 3, 2016 at 11:02 AM Posted September 3, 2016 at 11:02 AM I found out that the sound in some songs of the album is quite distorted. It's like... The mix is too loud or something. In particular, I'm talking about some moments in Je Nous Veux, Ordinaire and a bit of Si C'Était Á Refaire.I'm curious if I'm the only one who noticed that... 1 Quote
