So in the News Only thread, someone posted a small write-up from Télé 7 Jours saying that Céline will be on a TV show in November to promote the rumoured re-issue of the album... Do you think Sony is waiting to release the EUS video for this re-issue!!??

Well... Maybe they'll add a video for Ma Faille with a helicopter and a ghost for a pilot

OMG I love it! Do you think you could make Celine's voice less "high pitched" on Ma faille? I tried but in vain.

 

And to all of you who are editing the songs, do you know if it's possible to reduce the effects on the voice, for example during the bridge of "L'etoile"?

So far, Celine is doing great, even without much promotion.

But we can still help her and maybe set new records.

 

The sales in the first week (between August 26 and September 1) is very important.

Everybody will write about it - about peak position and a number of copies sold.

The CD sales and digital sales is important.

 

Now, also in Francophone countries, streaming is a new addition to the charts.

So streaming songs from the album will also help Celine.

I'm talking about YouTube, Spotify, Muve Music, Rhapsody, Slacker, Rdio, Xbox Music etc.

 

In some countries, like the US, also buying individual tracks will count for the...Album Chart.

So, as the sales in the first week is the most important, let's buy and stream the album repeatedly between August 26 and September 1.

Fans could also promote it on social media like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Also, Celine has a chance to make history in the US.

It would be the first French-languge album to enter the Billboard 200.

 

To do that, fans in the US should buy the digital album on iTunes US and/or physical on Amazon US (Amazon US has the exclusive CD release for the US).

The Bilboard 200 also includes streaming and buying individual songs.

just wondering - i have downloaded the album onto my phone through apple music and i also bought it on itunes and it is playing on my phone - if i repeatedly listen to it, does it count? I am thinking not, since it is actually saved on to my phone...

Wow. I'm definitely a joiner to the "this album grows on you" camp. I'm shocked that I found myself humming that least exciting track Plus Qu'Ailleurs all day.

 

 

I guess the album takes a while to sink it, but when it does it really takes root I find it such a comforting soundtrack to my life.. one that's not very intrusive (let's me work, run, think, etc.)... and I suppose that's exactly what failed to make it stand out in the first place!

True. Barbra also gave one free copy of her album per concert ticket sold and they mailed out on the day of the album release. So, I wonder how it will do in a week or so, once the copies that came with her concert are taken out of the equation? But, still, I totally agree it is way too early to see if it is a successful album or not. When you consider the competition, her audience, etc., Barbra's album is actually doing really well. Edit: I just realized though it has sold a little more than 30k, I wonder how many concert tickets she sold? It was only a nine city tour, but it was a lot of arenas (not sold out though).

 

I need to buy Encore Un Soir. I just haven't yet. I wanted to buy the LP, so I haven't gotten the digital yet. I think I will get it tonight or tomorrow though. I hope it is popular in the US, if for no other reason than I would hope it may make getting access to some of her other French catalogue a bit easier (I say that, because presumably it will be popular in France and Quebec, so I can't imagine the album not doing well overall).

Here are a little expectation of mine on the future single releasing

 

Mid of Sept Ma faille be the second single to grab the attention of the younger generation

 

Final week of Nov L'etoile be the third single (Christmas)

 

By the end of February 2017 Ordinaire be the final single which is the fourth single to close the promotion of Eus. To show her majestic voice.

 

All of these singles deserve a MV !!!

That singer? None other than Céline Dion - who in 1995, topped both the albums and singles charts with D'eux and Je Sais Pas respectively!

If they include more songs, I would gladly welcome that. A Céline Dion album running for 65-70 minutes would be heaven, if it's of the quality we have seen now.

 

However, I still hope they consider to include that behind the scenes/making of DVD and/or concert footage. It would be so silly to keep the making of DVD when we know they hired a production team and filmed everything!

I hate to say it, but I really don't like her voice on this album. She sounds quite nasal and shrill. You can easliy hear her voice is tired and worn out. Especially her vocals on ordinaire bother me quite a bit. Its almost as bad as her studio rendition of TSMGO. Exept for EUS and ALPHB,two songs which i love. Am I the only one who's disappointed by the vocals on this album? I Liked SA way better.

I don't know whether you are the only one who thinks that but I know that I disagree. While I don't particularly like some of the songs, I think Celine's singing is overall excellent. Some songs are a bit better than others, but overall it's great work.
