NO WAY!!! It's quite far from accurate.

The numbers from United World Chart (UWC) don't make sense.

454,000? She sold 214,000 in the US, 79,000 in Canada which total 293,000. Which means she would have sold 161,000 in the rest of the world. So how could she be #1 on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums with 161,000 (and less because the other countries are not counted yet)??? Something doesn't add up. I wouldn't trust thos UWC figures at all...

You're right. Obviously she sold many more copies than 350k in Euro. Cause Leona sold 350k in UK, and only get #9.

Even only sold 350K in Euro, that's 350K+214K+79K=643K, that's already much more than 454,000 from UWC. This figure is crap.

 

And don't forget Celine is a big seller in Japan and the whole Asia too.

I know, the chart is not even posted YET and it's usually done by Thursday the latest. Sounds like people are upset Celine is at #1 again!!! That's probably why Sony sent the press release out...

TC is at #9 on the PlanetM India charts this week (Alicia's is at #15)

Just a point of reference... ANDHC and OH debuted at #5 and #6 respectively

Is this an official chart?

This is one of the 3 charts that count... the other two being "The Record Mag" charts (which is considered official by some) and the Music Channels chart (but this is mostly for the singles)

Umm.. it's awesome that you're trying to support Celine.. but we should keep in mind to give credit where it is deserved.. like in this case, Alicia Keys. I bought the album and I can say it is really good. Plus, she is also very talented. So I hope you won't make such remarks by calling her a "B" cos Alicia also likes and respects Celine very much. I don't know how many can stay away from either TC or AIA... Both albums are great The only fault is SONY's cos they should have picked different dates for these two albums' releases.

 

Oh wait.. I think it was part of their marketing gimmick so as to profit more from the so-called "Battle between Celine and Alicia". Ultimately, the winner is SONY BMG

Alicia deserves it absoluted...she is very talented..She has a beautiful voice, can play piano and lookes amazing...I would not say such bad things about her ...I mean of course I would be very glad if Celine can beat Alicia with her album but it's OK for me that the album of such a talented artist sells so well.....

The Billboard European album chart is NOT ABOUT SALES! It'S about points. So it's possible, that Céline is number 1 even if Leona or Alicia sold more than her in Europe this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
