She sold 214,000 in the US, 79,000 in Canada which total 293,000. Which means she would have sold 161,000 in the rest of the world. dj4celine Posted November 23, 2007 at 08:03 PM Posted November 23, 2007 at 08:03 PM TC is at #9 on the PlanetM India charts this week (Alicia's is at #15) Just a point of reference... ANDHC and OH debuted at #5 and #6 respectivelyIs this an official chart? This is one of the 3 charts that count... the other two being "The Record Mag" charts (which is considered official by some) and the Music Channels chart (but this is mostly for the singles) KEEP UP CELINElet's top that Alicia Bit** on the US market Celine number 1# Umm.. it's awesome that you're trying to support Celine.. but we should keep in mind to give credit where it is deserved.. like in this case, Alicia Keys. I bought the album and I can say it is really good. Plus, she is also very talented. So I hope you won't make such remarks by calling her a "B" cos Alicia also likes and respects Celine very much. Peace. LETS JUST NOT SUPPORT ALICIA KEYS>>>>> REFUSE TO BUY HER ALBUM>>> SONG MUSIC IS TO BLAME I don't know how many can stay away from either TC or AIA... Both albums are great The only fault is SONY's cos they should have picked different dates for these two albums' releases. Oh wait.. I think it was part of their marketing gimmick so as to profit more from the so-called "Battle between Celine and Alicia". Ultimately, the winner is SONY BMG Quote

thevoice Posted November 23, 2007 at 09:45 PM Author Posted November 23, 2007 at 09:45 PM there is nothing wrong with alicia's success - i'm happy for her . unlike some other "artists" she is really talented , i still can't believe britney sold 350k from her CD the first week... personaly alicia's music is not my cup of tea but i can see why people love her so much - she is grounded and talented . having said that - she'll never sell 200 million albums Quote
LuisMa Posted November 23, 2007 at 09:48 PM Posted November 23, 2007 at 09:48 PM I think Alicia Keys' success is well-deserved, it was just too bad that her album was released on the same week as Celine's, but she's a beautiful and talented singer as well. Quote
