LukeD Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:17 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:17 PM Isn't that pic from the photoshoot before her resorts world shows were supposed to start?Yes! It was also used during her Grammy appearance! It is not new or anything BUT for me it is a good sign. It is as if they intend to be more active. I know you will think I am reading this too far but all the things that have been happening the past month mean to me that she is planning her comeback. I am sure it is closer than we think - I just feel it. 4 Quote

LukeD Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:23 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:23 PM (edited) Well, they've certainly been active in deleting 60% of her IG account! Yes, but this could be seen as a positive sign as well! Not the action, but the motivation behind it. To me, it means that they were not happy with what the account looked like and decided to edit it - trying to tidy things up in preparation of her comeback. My two cents. LukeD Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:37 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:37 PM (edited) The past month, in no particular order:Celine purposely decides to speak to Vogue and the magazine is released in May with a big title 'The Grand Return of Celine Dion'.Celine takes part in the Canadian Olympics ad.TeamCeline enable SMHOF to be released and added to multiple Spotify playlists - the song is shaping up to be her biggest hit since 'Ashes'.The social media team deletes Instagram content and ensure a more professional theme. The trailer of the new documentary is released in late May and goes viral. The social media team updates profile photos. The first interview in 4 years is set to be broadcast in June. The documentary and an accompanying album are to be released in late June - both summarising her career and reflecting her SPS struggle.Things are moving for the first time in 4 years! There's an identity-shift, a re-introduction! That's one of the documentary's aims - to perfectly set the ground for her comeback. Edited May 24, 2024 at 06:40 PM by LukeD 6 Quote

scielle Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:44 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:44 PM (edited) Yes, optimistic that it’s all a harbinger of good things to come. But it could also be something just to “tie us over” while she’s unable to perform, and a means of further monetizing & driving consumption of her catalog (after all, the doc was instigated by Sony, and as someone who works at a major label, I can tell you that these musician docs and biopics are something we invest in to drive catalog revenues for legacy artists). If this is what they are up to (monetising/driving consumption), do you think they would imply a comeback as in the Vogue cover? If the answer to this is yes and this scenario proves to be true, they kind of did us dirty. Edited May 24, 2024 at 06:56 PM by LukeD Quote
Állex Sodi Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:58 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 06:58 PM Only now I got to see the trailer and the Vogue interview and… wow! I’m not a crier but to read that interview after the end of that trailer was hard to hold the tears! And I must say, I loved this part: “I wasn’t looking for someone who would dramatize my life or reinvent what I was going through. Or someone who would always be saying, ‘Can we ask you that? Can we go there?’ When I met Irene, I knew right away that she was the person.” It looks like I was wrong, Celine will go deep in this doc. And it might just be me with my expectations, but the fact they chose to focus this trailer exactly on Celine desperation to go back to the stage is telling. If I had to guess, feels like something is indeed cooking up. 5 Quote

Hopefully when Irene said this isn’t as much about the music and catalog as much as “Celines now” and SPS journey, and it was still greenlit by Sony means that it’s part of a bigger picture of a comeback. I do find it odd that they choose a RW Photo to make her profile pics… don’t know what to make of it as it hasn’t changed since the courage album was released. 4 Quote

This is one of the songs I have in my mind since the release of the compilation album was announced. There are so many career-specific songs they could have drawn from: - Destin- Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas- A Vous- Ordinaire- Le Temps Qui Compte Also, some other ones that could relate to her SPS struggle: - The Hard Way- Soul- Imperfections- Ma Force But no, let's go with All By Myself and River Deep-Mountain High instead. If the answer to this is yes and this scenario proves to be true, they kind of did us dirty. Well, what is a comeback? Some of us already planned their holiday to Vegas with the word comeback. A comeback can be anything, is it just a comeback to 'the spotlight of the media' A comeback on stage? Or in the recording studio. I think it's just a comeback after a announcement that she has a rare disease. And ready to live with it out in the open. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-F721B met Tapatalk 3 Quote

Realistically, it is easier to record an album than commit to a residency or tour. We'll see! 2 Quote
Popular Post scielle Posted May 24, 2024 at 07:54 PM Popular Post Posted May 24, 2024 at 07:54 PM Rereading the Vogue interview (it’s really one of the best with her in years!), this quote also struck me -“After years and years of playing hide-and-seek with myself, with my friends, with my family, with my kids…” She pauses, visibly emotional. “I no longer wanted to be brave. I had tried as long as I could. It was time for me to be smart.” Confirms a lot of what many of us have been suspecting, about her having a propensity to put on a brave face. I mean that as a general character trait, not just in reference to her illness. She did it for Rene’s funeral and the frantic workload that followed. She did it for the filming of IACBTMN where she wouldn’t tell the director her feet were bleeding from running on those pebbles. She did it performing through pain multiple times over the years. She always did it.The fact she’s able to acknowledge this tells me that, as some have previously pointed out in this thread and elsewhere, she has done a lot of work these past few years not just on her physical health but also her mental wellbeing. And that can only be a good thing. 12 Quote
CelinesDIVO5 Posted May 24, 2024 at 07:58 PM Posted May 24, 2024 at 07:58 PM I hear what you are saying, but what friendships? This is the second time Celine calls someone a friend. Am I wrong? I am asking because I want us to separate the facts from the speculations. I mean, she doesn’t have to publicly declare all of her friends. This just came up in conversation, and her saying Irene became a friend was relative to the conversation. To presume it’s an overstatement, especially without actually knowing what their relationship is just comes off arrogant, imo. The opposite is also true - often autoimmune issues are rooted in mental health problems like anxiety and depression. And in turn, further exacerbrate them. It is a bidirectional relationship. 2 Quote
