New Las Vegas residency show!

I was talking in response to you saying she should choose a different city. NYC a might be okay, because she could do it as a Broadway show like Bruce Springsteen and Melissa Etheridge have done. But apart from that, I just don’t see it making sense to base anywhere else when LV has truly become THE place for residencies.

 

I meant move her personal homebase regardless of viable residency location. In fact, forego the residencies completely and, as mentioned, come up with a different model where she doesn't have to perform ~15days a month like a humdrum routine. Maybe some kind of hybrid concert series? Not sure either myself. Barbra Streisand's concerts were deemed special because they were infrequent... somewhere between this kind of rarity and the high frequency of residencies would be a sweet spot. This forum has seen many complaints of the same old repertoire of 20-30 songs ad nauseam for almost 20yrs... it just feels like the idea of residencies have been conquered and she already made her mark, line up a new challenge as an artist for growth as the next phase, push the envelope for someone with extraordinary talent. Aretha still took up Julliard piano lessons to still expand her skills later in life. Dabble in a different genres even like Robert Plant. *Something.* but lol I know it's just a personal wish, Céline could obvs be wanting something totally different or prefers to focus on being a performer more than artist, that's okay, too.

I'm 100% certain in the next week or two we will get a Vegas announcement from her for next year. No doubt in my mind. Some had been thinking that she would go to see Adele's last show of the year, but she's a Resorts World Partner and that deal is still in tact. Of course she was going to go their over Adele! It's all coming together........ A NEW ERA!!!!!

I think we could see her at Adele still and isn’t their an award show in Vegas soon? Also, ff to February, the Super Bowl will be held in Vegas for the first time in history…. So she and her boys could attend.

I secretly hope she will sing the anthem at the race, but no I just think at the moment they have managed to manage her condition which is very positive and she is getting back out there again to raise her profile ahead of what’s hopefully coming next

Yes, when I saw the AEG execs I knew for sure that wasn’t a concert attended solely for pleasure but it was a work matter as well.

 

I’m sure Celine also enjoyed the concert as she does like Katy but there’s a video also going around on X ( if I find it I’ll post) of Celine before the show clearly looking around the venue… she’s paying attention to the speakers and ceiling especially. That’s probably the technical side of her since Rene passed.

 

Does anyone remember if Celine actually rehearsed in the RW theater before the show was canceled?

It’s all over the UK press that she was at her show.

 

But yeah would be nice for an official backstage photo of them both.

 

Also nice that during the show Katy reminded the crowd that she was Katy and not Céline Dion and that Céline’s show was coming.

 

CDA and the music equipment moved into RW but I don’t believe Céline ever got to rehearse at the time, not sure about the band though.

Her team knows what they're doing....even my co-workers were texting me............it's gone viral.

I’m glad people know… other than a tmz and couple articles here I wouldn’t know unless I went looking for the info.

 

It’s going to be hard for Celine to do any sort of interview without addressing her health… I’m sure if anything Celine will announce via social media and grant a big sit down interview of her health later on in the future before her supposed documentary is released in the way Micheal J Fox did with his most recent documentary on Apple TV.

The biggest hint… is that the AEG execs accompanying Celine to Katy Perry’s concert at the venue they run and would produce a show for Celine in. If that’s not a spoiler if at least their intentions then I don’t know what is.

I have a trip to LA and Disneyland for their big convention on the books next August but the only thing I've booked thus far is the hotel... and I'm glad I haven't booked anything else because if Celine comes back to Vegas, Disneyland's getting dumped.

I'm on the fence about it.

 

Like others have said, she's well aware of optics. So she knew that people would start speculation about her return to the stage if she started making public apperances. Especially by attending a show in the venue she is expected to perform in.

 

Stepping out of the house in such a public way -- and posting about it on social media -- makes me feel like she's sending a few messages. Perhaps she's just letting us know, "I'm better now." But she could also be saying, "Something's coming soon..."

 

Her re-emerging in public could be the climax of her documentary.... her stepping out into the world again. And then they can wrap filming and the documentary can get released and used as a way to boost ticket sales for Vegas. OR they could wait and keep filming until she's actually premiered the new show and that could the climax of the documentary.

 

If they do decide to release the doc before her return to Vegas, maybe they can at least include some rehearsal footage.

I imagine an Adele type schedule for the first year and then see how she is, but tickets will not be cheap and will be hard to get.
