This. Anyone here remember the random “I Feel Too Much” moment from years ago? That song was never a single, nor was it a hit, but it remained an important musical moment for a music show contestant to bring it up to Céline. That shows her deep cuts can have just as big of an impact on people as the singles/“hits”.

Besides, the majority of covers she brings to the concerts suck. I only enjoy few of them, Over the Rainbow and How Do You Keep The Music Playing are the best she did the past decade. Love of my Life and Ne Me Quitte Pas were also solid. But that's about it. I hated the Michael Jackson and Prince medley, the jazz songs she did I found dated. Let's Dance, Another One Bites the Dust are the epiteme of fillers. In terms of the Bond medley only Goldfinger worked for me. I would have replaced the other songs with ''Goldeneye'' and ''Diamonds are Forever'' which I find far superior.

She did a one off version of Donny Hathaways “A Song For You” it was amazing…. That should’ve stayed… also, TSMGO, and her beautiful version of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”, other than that I could’ve gone without them all LOL.

Personally, like many of you, I prefer Céline doing her own songs in her shows. I guess mainly because she has so many wonderful songs and who better to sing them than Céline herself. I have to admit though, she does do covers exceptionally well. She seems to embody the song and what the original artist had envisioned.

In over a year this the most positive feeling… when she couldn’t appear at her own movie premiere the future seemed bleak.

So let’s hope and pray for the best, but I’m optimistic she’ll be back, when is the question I have more than if.

I’d much prefer a show that’s mostly covers.

 

I think youre in the minority. Most people especially the younger fans most definitely want to hear her hits and her songs they fell in love with.

And with all those Vegas shows in the past they could have give us so much more songwise.

 

2 different setlists that rotate each week,or weekend. Or just the last 2 songs whatever.

Would definitely let us fans visit the show more often. And I can imagine more fun for the team as well.
