I’d imagine at this point her recent outings were just Celine having “good days” and it seems nothing is in the pipeline… it could be premature to say this but it seems like she’s vanished again for a little while… I would’ve expected something more after that buzz, but it may have been Celine just coping with living her life with the syndrome and be as simple as enjoying more public events and she may be nowhere near a professional return. I hope we hear from really soon.

Ugh. I completely forgot.

Ok, well then... let's take a look at the calendar. Announcements have historically been dropped on a Monday, with presales happening Tuesday - Thursday with general on-sale on Friday. IF Resorts World keeps their word, I'd anticipate Tuesday being for those of us who bought tickets to the original run in 2021, Wednesday/Thursday for Team Celine and Resorts World presales and Friday the general on-sale. The big question mark right now is would Resorts World dare drop an announcement next Monday during the week of Thanksgiving here in the States? I'd go with no, so now we're looking at at least 2 weeks out which puts us at November 27th. The next big question mark is that Carrie Underwood comes back on the 29th, so again, would Resorts World rather do promo or book a new residency? If they do promo, push it out to 3 weeks to December 4th, at the very earliest. But of course, this is assuming Celine is coming back (I honestly think she is) and dependent fully on Resorts World and Celine's calendars. I would estimate that if/when she comes back, and looking at the openings at the RW Theatre (March 17-May 21 and June 2-August 13) the latest I could see them pulling an announcement within the usual 6 months is January. PHEW!

 

TL;DR - Based on past announcement procedures, an announcement could drop within the next 2-3 weeks at the earliest, January at the very latest, at least that's how I estimate it.

I dont think they'll wait until January to announce her Vegas run. Not a good time to sell tickets after everyone has spent oodles on Christmas. Get it out for holiday shoppers that may want get tickets for gifts. Mind you, I think she'd still regardless, but more robustly, and especailly the higher tiered packages pre-January.

 

Secondly, notice that Katy's residency has ended almost two weeks ago now. And I firmly believe that if another major star other than Celine was going to be announced, it would have been released by now. I believe they have it planned to release Celine coming back and they want to make it a big deal.

 

Thirdly, some have stated that they think this is just her out and and enjoying herself. If that was the case, there is no way she would have courted the AEG president to the final Katy Perry show at the theatre she was due to play in. You think if a show was not happening, he would or she would do this? There is no conceivable way. She would have been maybe snuck into Adele's show and sided out. The Montreal Canadiens, then Vegas show was all very well orchestrated and has gained much attention. They didn't immediately announce a residency and they want it to filter down through news sources which it has last week........

 

Finally, if we stand back and read the messages from Celine and her team, prior to this we knew it was going to coming. When the Courage tour was cancelled, Team Celine in their offical statement said " We have every hope, that someday soon............Celine will be able to come back...." etc. Again. It's one thing to stay hopeful, but to put pen to paper and state "Someday soon" was very indicative that she was doing well and just waiting. Barnev when interviewed by Journal de Montreal said it was going to be an "Atomic bomb" when she comes back. (clearly he has inside info). The Resorts World president told Las Vegas journalists last year they were "hopeful" for a return in 2024 and that they can't wait to "get her back as she was the first resident signed and she helped design the theatre."

 

Put all of this together and it's happening. Not a question of if. But when.

 

My prediction is we'll get an announcement this week or early next.

I hope you’re doing right…and even I’ve said it’s very possible after having those 2 appearances in the same week. I do wonder if the AEG execs were just there as well and bumped into Celine, let’s not forget they are the promoters of “PLAY” Katy’s show as well, maybe they were there in support for her final bow and it’s rumored Katy will announce a world tour and new album very soon they may be trying to secure the tour as well…

 

I’ve never been this optimistic about a return than I’ve been in the last few weeks, but I don’t want to “jump the gun”, as just as easily as a tour announcement could come so could another year of radio silence from Celine.

I wouldn’t have expected Celine’s first appearance to be a national anthem anyways, I think Celine will do her own show when that time comes.

 

If we still don’t hear from Celine soon about a Vegas show and she’s ready to jump back in the other route I think she could go would be this winter at either the GRAMMYS or OSCARS, they may give her some special award and ask for a performance.

If they announce a residency for the spring that gives plenty time for said interview to happen and air before a show premiere. It could be a sit down from RW theatre when rehearsals are taken place.

 

I too believe the sit down happens before any residency BEGINS, but I don’t believe that means they couldn’t announce it or for tickets to go on sale first.

Immediately following that I think a sit-down interview with GMA/Today etc. will probably air ...within days of her announcement.

 

She announced all of her cancelations, postponements, diagnosis and even the initial run this way. It will like be the same for her comeback.

Immediately following that I think a sit-down interview with GMA/Today etc. will probably air ...within days of her announcement.

 

She announced all of her cancelations, postponements and even the initial run this way. It will like be the same for her comeback.

 

Hopefully it’s a prime time interview like what Adele did year ago with Oprah… those GMA interviews are too chopped up, id rather see a more in depth interview that airs with a big name.

I believe she announced her diagnosis last December 8th? Maybe it’ll be this Dec 8th on the 1 year anniversary from the announcement.

My only thing is that I’ve learned to just not have any sort of expectation… because it tends to lead to people (especially on here) then getting pissy and confused about why there was no announcement as if it was a guarantee to begin with. If it does come, I’d be absolutely over the moon. But I’m not going to give myself false hope that it’s coming next month, or soon at all for that matter.

This could be why Celine attended in a “public way” the hockey game and Katy Perry concert and was seen dancing… this could’ve been at the direction of someone on her team to get back out there in some form so that not only Vegas media starts buzzing but also in general for the optics to begin showing her in positive state.

 

So I don’t think the old school interview before a comeback announcement is necessarily eminent… that’s probably how Rene would’ve handled this moment as her manager but her team no longer plays by the rules since years, sometimes for better or worse.
