that's what I always think, other artists of the same age or older than Celine receive a different treatment, see Madonna, in her latest CD she released several video clips, appearances and interviews on TV programs, same thing with Jennifer Lopez, Mariah carey.

I don't know why it's just Celine, sony isn't helping, maybe it's better to go to another house.

I'm afraid that she can’t change the label, because Sony owns her entire catalogue as she doesn’t write any of her songs, so she is pretty much stuck there.

Because maybe she doesn’t care?

That's not a problem anymore, she can be an independent artist 😜

I think Vegas is becoming more popular among artists in the Covid era….. Adele, Micheal Bublè, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and now John Legend ( who just announced today) all have announced/ started Vegas residencies during the Covid era. People are starting to probably think it’s much more practical to not only base in one city but also fill venues of 4-5 thousand seats instead of the the 20,000+ stadiums.

I don’t care how anyone feels about Celine and Vegas, nobody can argue that Celine is single-handedly responsible for making Vegas the place to be… nobody would touch that city before Celine and now artists are begging to go.

Also it’s easier to fill a 4,000 seat theatre right now instead of a 20,000 arena with Covid still going on. I think people are more likely to buy tickets to a smaller place and feel safer then going to a huge arena show. Even Adele said in an interview she didn’t know if she would tour this album in huge stadiums with Covid still going around.

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

People are excited about Adele, but she is one of the few artists who can sing these days, most of the songs if not 99% of her are bad songs, they are non-singing artists, so Adele came and saved her year.

I'm going to speak now as an ordinary music listener, not wanting to compare Adele's music with Celine, but I think Celine's music is much better, more superior than Adele's, Celine's voice is magical, beautiful , touches hearts, not to mention her ballads that infect the crowds, are better than Adele's.

So, i was watching some old videos of Céline on YouTube - 2017 shows in Copenhagen and I think the song "My Love" should now be part of her setlists. I think it's a great song and I think she's comfortable singing that song.

Well, rather on a whim, Mom and I just got tickets to see Carrie Underwood next may in the theatre! We will be sitting on the first balcony midway up in the middle section. Of course, once Celine announces we will be going back, but getting floor seats. I’m excited to see the theatre in person before Celine goes in! Ideally I’d love to see Celine first, but I’m happy to be going back to Vegas!

I’ll for sure report back! If Celine hasn’t announced yet what her plans are by then (I hope she will!) I’ll try and see if I can figure something about it! But I think we will know something by then.

isn't that a bit counterintuitive though? Bigger stadiums have more air ventilation I would have though. I think the solution is to not fill any space, just do 50% capacity or less---no matter the overall seating capacity.

Wonder when it is from? Do they still have that poster on?

It is an interesting read. One I expect no one on this forum wants to acknowledge. Celine is not the Queen of Vegas anymore. The fact that she cancelled her residency and didn't open the Resorts World Theater was the final nail in the coffin and Adele having tickets go for $35,000 is the concrete being poured over the coffin.

Celine, when she comes back...IF she comes back, will be in her mid 50s. She will no longer have relevance on the charts again - she already hasn't for decades. She won't do anything other than greatest hits shows, making money off of her old hits. She's a legacy act. She's a legend. But she's no longer the current queen of anything.

I still love her and listen to her music daily. But her presence in the world is sorely diminished. And that's just a natural progression of getting older.

Not just getting older in years, but getting comfortable in the mindset that, since she’s “not relevant anymore”, no one cares to see her try something new on stage

Not only a matter of age, she lost motivation because of the Vegas monster adventure. Beyond that, bad song choices for singles, lack of courage and vision on recent albums and lack of vision in shows and the list is very long.

Here a lot of people have reported serious side effects as a result of the "vaccine", hopefully this is not the case for Celine because the words "unforeseen" keep chasing my mind.

It is worst, she has nothing to "prove".

When Adele starts performing weeks days in Vegas for 3-5 years straight, she can be the queen of Vegas, til then Celine holds that title. People really don’t get basic supply and demand. Adele gives so little supply that people demand her. Celine has sung over 1000 shows in the last decade and still sells out. Less demand because there’s more supply of Celine and yet she still kills the numbers. I don’t think there’s another live artist remotely in her lane when shows are concerned other than possibly Madonna.

Agreed. I love Adele but - even as more & more artists launch residencies - Celine remains the queen of Vegas. Adele loves Celine and I imagine she doesn’t want that title anyways.

Celine is laying low right now - and it makes sense after backing out of her Vegas show. Now she can see how Carrie & Katy’s shows go - and then she can decide if she’s comfortable performing at RW or not down the road, considering the rocky start it’s had.

Regardless, I think she’ll re-emerge in top form for her Courage concerts in 2022. I do wonder if Text for You will be out in early 2022? I would love an in depth interview with Celine (& Oprah!) but something like that might not happen until her documentary is released.

She probably doesn’t want to be asked any time soon about backing out of her Vegas show - but I imagine she’ll just stick with the spasms story for now.

I agree. Even if she’s better now and back to her normal self, (which we don’t know) they won’t tell us and we won’t see her anytime soon. Celine always looks at the optics, the fact that she had to cancel all of her Vegas dates… and if she were all

Of a sudden “fine “, before the January and February dates she also cancelled, would make her look really bad. So I’ll doubt we will hear anything from Celine til late February as she gears up to resume the tour in March.
