Yeah, and you can see some aspects of the situation she's in have been stressful even early on, I can only imagine what it's been like since she became uber-famous and uber-rich. (I'm referring specifically to the Lise Payette interview from 1992, where she talked about how it's hard to have siblings call all the time asking for money for a broken washing machine or car or whatever, how she had to start referring them to her accountant. And that was in 1992. Imagine what it's like now!)

More that it’s a massive family, expectations on her are huge, and it must be difficult for her. Not all wine and roses. It never is.

I'd expect her back for Courage World Tour dates unless something pandemic related were to happen again. Menopause does not have a set age it strikes, and while I am not a woman, the women I have had in my life experience it.. some of them have had no issues and others have been quite miserable.

That's what I thought. Some women experience menopause in a very drastic way: serious cramps and hot flashes and have a difficult time adapting to their new bodies.

I wouldn't expect Celine to film a video saying: Hey folks I am hitting menopause and can't do a show right now. It just feels incredibly personal and nobody's business to know about.

But that would explain why she is MIA, this time it is way too personal to explain to the general public.

Yeah, Vital Vegas reported on it a few weeks back, but apparently they’re waiting to announce. Believe they said he’s due to start in spring / mid next year.

I've only seen the LV Locally account report that initial conversations with Bocelli have been had once Céline cancelled, but seems that didn't progress or at least I haven't seen anyone else mention it.

 

But yes, the Buble deal has apparently been inked and now reported by two sources (and Vital Vegas broke the Céline at RW story a year before anyone else, so I tend to believe they have good info.) That's good they found a replacement, as Celine needs them to be profitable if/when she is to make a return.

I liked his original material better than the mass-market stuff. More jazz, less pop.

But he’s just an all-around good guy, so I’d be happy to have him share Celine’s stage.

He must be doing something right since he sells very well, and his Christmas album is rated as one of the best of all-time.

 

Lady Gaga is doing a Jazz show, so it's not much of a stretch I guess. But to me Michael Buble is all of the things people like to accuse Celine of being but she's not lol i.e. some crooner that will put you to sleep.

To me, it always had somewhat of an off feeling. But that could have been for multiple reasons.

While I get the point you’re making, she also is obligated to do a certain # of Vegas shows as per her contracts. Not with resorts world, but with AEG/the contract made with that Rob Prinz guy. So she will have to do them somewhere.

 

That being said, I’m curious to see how this theatre will look. I know once three-four other headliners go through the space they’ll have the kinks worked out. Selfishly, I’ve never seen Celine in Vegas and really would like her to return. I’m just holding on for the rescheduled dates so I know when I’ll be able to go back. But I’ll support her whatever she does.

Well, not totally Celine related, but Carrie just posted a video of her seeing the Theatre at RW for the first time. It’s pretty sleek! I can’t help but wish I was there a few short weeks ago, but soon enough! It looks like a very black/tan theatre, but I guess that will also help with the lights and such not bouncing off other colors. I’m curious to see how she will utilize the place!

I was actually just at RW this evening, and man, is it ever sleepy… they really need some umph to draw in the crowds. Sure, a few more places open now since my last visit but that didn’t really do much to liven the place up.

The more I see of this theater, the more I wish I was just there to see Celine. Ugh. Well I know I’ll see her whenever I can, but when she goes back to Vegas I know I’ll be there, premiere night! Who knows if she will go back to Resorts World, but she will be back. I just miss her. It’s not necessarily that she was going to be at Resorts World, I was just happy to be seeing her for her first show back!

 

I definitely think Adele will be in Vegas! This is how she dropped her album announcement, with the random 30’s appearing everywhere. I definitely think it’s only a few days/weeks until she says something. She had said in an interview (I believe Rolling Stone) that she wouldn’t do Vegas, but she also said there was no duets on the album at one point, but there’s a duet with Chris Stapleton. So who knows if she will be in Vegas!

The theatre looks so blah…cold, beige, basic, what’s with the yellow and white? The Coliseum looked grand, warm, regal, and Céline worthy. This looks like some theatre you’d fine in a B-list city like Atlanta or something.

the proscenium arch is really small. That huge black space is such a waste. How about the upper audience? They can’t see anymore the main led screen at the back of the stage. In order for them to see they need to move forward the main LED for them to see but the stage will be much smaller if they did that.

 

The arch in caesars palace are much taller

The theater just looks like a grand college theater. I’m not that impressed. I’m more impressed with their previous project in Caesars Palace (a new day era). I think the one in planet hollywood is much better than this. Edited November 30, 2021 at 10:10 AM by jpatdeleon09
