I wonder who is her creative director here? Céline needs to hire again a great creative director to have the best show ever

I feel like some high tech visual incorporation of the Titanic movie itself, or of the boat motif would make the song more exciting for me personally. Then add water element as well.

Carrie added more dates to her Vegas run next May: 11, 13 - 14, 18, 20 - 21

The R W Theatre FB page also posted some pics from last nights show and :w00t:! Carrie definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. No way could she tour with that show. And I don't think (from the video's I've watched on YouTube) that she's ever done such a technical show.

THIS! Celine will always be known as the Titanic singer. I'd love for her to bring back something like she did during the LTAL tour and really sell the Titanic aspect of the song. Her performance during that tour was mindblowing.

Is the show she gave typical of her normal shows?

I think so!!! She definitely did her hits and her last tour was in the round and had some pretty cool tech but not to this level! So she did an amazing job!

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

I must admit that show she did last night was something else! The theatre definitely has quite the potential!!! I’m so curious to see what Celine will do for her show! I know it’s got to be a ways off yet, but I’m beyond curious to see what they would’ve done. And now that we know the water effects are being used for Carrie’s show, they could easily have the bow of the ship and have water falling or something to that affect. Before the big bridge, some sort of ship part could come up the elevator for her big ending!

So glad we’ve finally seen some footage of the RW stage in action! It’s been a long time coming.

That one image with the dancers on swings and Carrie on stage is pretty much what I meant when I envisioned Celine using a small handful of dancers. She, herself, doesn't need to go all around the theater unless she just really wants to. But it definitely has logistics to utilize them better now.

Exactly! And after I saw 2 cirque du soleil shows (O and Mystère) in Vegas a few weeks ago, I really think the dancers in small numbers can add a lot to the show! I miss the theatrics of A New Day, but she definitely doesn’t need that many dancers. I would love an Eyes On Me kinda moment again and the dancers on swings could so add a nice dramatic element to some of her songs. Who knows what we will see!

The RW stage looks quite small, esspecially because the height of the stage is quite low imo. It is like a big screen from a distance. When you look at tours , there are usually screens or maybe even platforms where dancers could have danced or elevators..it is just small imo.

Has anyone on the forum been to a Carrie concert before

I have. She puts on an amazing show, as we can all see now lol.

I'm more excited now for what Celine may have up her sleeve. After seeing the water feature, it'd be really cool if Celine utilized it in a similar fashion but this time she's on the Titanic (like LTAL tour). But here would be even more epic!

A bit more from the Québécois company that designed it (to Céline’s specs): https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1844551/resorts-world-theatre-las-vegas-sceno-plus-celine-dion

And from Billboard:

https://www.billboard.com/music/concerts/carrie-underwood-las-vegas-residency-recap-1235005332/

“The theater is the seventh performance venue in Las Vegas designed by Scéno Plus, the Montreal-based firm headed by brothers Olivier and Vincent Berthiaume-Bergé, whose parents started the business in the ’80s.

“It was so important for us to make the artists and the guests feel like everybody’s getting the VIP treatment,” Olivier says. “It starts at the front door, and when you walk in the lobby you are stopped by this great chandelier. And the interior design concept, the level of finishes, the sophistication. That opens up when you walk in, and the special treatment that was given to the lightning, and of course, to the acoustics.”

The 5,000-seat theater features L-ISA hyperreal technology, an immersive audio experience with more than 200 L-Acoustics speakers. The orchestra seating has a flying buttress effect, making the furthest seat no more than 150 feet from the stage.

“This is the largest L-ISA install we have done,” says Scott Sugden, head of product and technology marketing with L’Acoustics. “Technology really empowers artists. As opposed to two big speaker stacks on each side, what we’ve done is make them a little bit smaller, and we made a whole bunch more of them.”

Backstage, the theater features multiple apartment-size dressing rooms, a garage so headliners can directly access the venue by car, a rehearsal space and dance studio, a recording studio, and on-site storage facilities.”

it’s like they built the theater specifically for Céline again

Does Carrie Underwood really fit the vibe of hanging acrobatic dancers? On first glance seems quite forced.

Oo..how Celine needs a manager.

Yes, i want her to have a manager like Rene that really pushes her being the best. Giving her the best treatment, the best show, great at convincing people like Rene did...I wonder if there’s a type of manager exists today.

So, it looks like Céline’s previous show. Triangle like style because of the LED screen at the sides

i wonder if the stage has the same size

Man I hate that Celine didnt open the theatre herself, and instead it's some guitar picking hillbilly music.

To me these openings are by far not that special anymore, because these shows are now happening everywhere with so many artists. The 2003 opening was very special, because Celine was the first one to do a show of this kind. Now it’s common practice and many artists offer even more than Celine in terms of visuals, acrobatics, musical creativity and so on Edited by ryba

Mariah fans have the same "issues" :giggle:

Well, it was lipped judging the trailer. Yes! So, her producer failed or the producer is having a hard time editing Mariah’s new voice.

Nothing we didn’t already know, but: https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/celine-dion-return-might-not-happen-until-fall-2022-2490266/

“Asked Wednesday if there was any update to Dion’s scheduling plans at the Theater, Concerts West CEO John Meglen said, “No, there is nothing to update. I mean, when she’s ready, she’ll be ready.”

AEG Presents, Concerts West’s parent company, manages the Theater and takes the lead on booking its headliners. Dion announced in October that she was canceling her Vegas dates, citing severe muscle spasms.

“Everything else is totally on schedule,” Meglen said. “Celine’s not going anywhere.” […]

Dion’s manager, Dave Platel, said in text Friday, “Nothing to add at this point. Our March schedule is intact as of today, and we’re hopeful that all will be good.”

Given that time horizon, and the fact that Perry and Bryan have taken up dates in January and February, the earliest Dion would likely perform at Resorts World would be October.

This would be after at least three headliners (and four, counting the yet-announced Michael Buble) have already played the Theater. Celine’s is a certainly a schedule to watch, especially if her tour dates are again postponed.”

Oh so Dave Platel is her manager

As has been confirmed numerous times over the past few years and discussed here ad nauseam. We’ve known this since Feb 2018. I don’t understand why people are still not getting it.

My point was---in every fandom there is the same nagging split. People who say their opinion vs others who say "she doesn't HAVE to do anything, you know?"

Which we won't relitigate here.

To me, they are not entirely confident and it is still in the mode of "wait and see" or "as the situation progresses".

If I were to bet, I would say we won't get any Christmas message from Celine. I hope I'm wrong.
