She would also be working on training her voice, and working out again. Who knows what else.

I can do basic math. The number 8 makes obvious sense. But I highly doubt most of the months were intense, tiring, or strenuous for Celine or the people who would have been on the stage for Vegas. They knew they were going back to Vegas for a long time and with Resorts World. From what I surmise, this was not Franco Dragone level production or grit. If I remember correctly, Celine didn't start warming up her voice for her return in 2002 until weeks or a month before she started recording the ANDHC album. She probably did lots of Zoom calls and brainstormed setlists, called some designers, etc.

 

Still, this is lots of time and work by the contracted companies and business-end people did go to waste, or at least won't bear fruit for many months. And it sucks for everyone involved. An emotional and financial blow to many parties.

 

Not to mention, Celine herelf may have been suffering personally with various injuries for part of those 8 months which may have hampered her preparation.

I was sad yesterday when I saw the time and realized I would have been at the Theater watching her new show. All that work will just be sitting there for who knows how long before we see it. Unless she decides to use it for CWT & redo some stuff for Vegas later on (doubtful but still a thought).

Yea it does make me REALLY WORRIED that something else health-wise - something worse - could be going on, & we just dont know what it is!

 

Because normally muscle spasms could be a potential problem for a couple of days, (or even a couple of weeks even,) but NOT MONTHS! I know from my OWN EXPERIENCES with muscle spasms (mostly in my neck - I have had tention in my neck SO BADLY that I have had a hard time moving it without extreme pain,) but I was not out of work for months @ a time for it! I am nit saying Celines muscle spasms are not real - but there might be something worse going on - more health issues than the public knows about... 😔😞

My point was people heard her say "we've been working on this for 8 months" and are imagining some painstaking, intense, complex work where Celine was heavily involved for 8 months. Cooking up surprises and never-before-seen experiences.

 

To my mind, that is not the case. Celine probably scrolled through wardrobe proposals on her iPad, had a few Zoom calls about the setlist, talked with Scott Price, and sent in some personal photos or sketches for the digital screens. And maybe started warming up her voice in like July, if she hasn't been keeping it up.

 

An "intimate" show without dancers can be very high quality, but I don't imagine they are going to blow us away conceptually. Actually, it's just going to be Celine in a beautiful new theatre with her same old, great voice and better sound and lights.

There's always a reason. People were all up in arms about silence prior to Rene's diagnosis being announced. And now she's dealing with this. We'll know what she wants us to know when she wants us to know it. Until then all we can do is just be patient.

If people knew Rene had cancer, they wouldn't have been up in arms. Same in the case of promo....if people knew Celine had a health issue, they wouldn't have wondered about the lack of promo from ResortsWorld.

 

Without having known, I don't blame people for being up in arms.

I just walked in resorts world and by the theatre! It’s stunning! I would love to see the inside, wish we could. I knew they wouldn’t have any merchandise but mom wanted to ask the guy at the store just in case you know, and they said they hadn’t even received the merchandise before she cancelled or gotten notice of it arriving. So it really sounds like she pushed through. It explains the lack of posting snd then the fact that they didn’t even ship the merch to resorts world says they were waiting till the last possible minute to cancel. I really feel bad for her! But I will be beck to see her when she comes back, hopefully next year!

I checked all the corners and I was secretly hoping he would say oh we have this box in the back with a few shirts and some programs but I knew it would be a no haha but in all seriousness, whenever she can come it’ll be stunning, the hotel is just something else. That and the fact that all the other performers would’ve worked all the kinks out so she could just walk in and get her sound/lighting calibrated with the band and practice wardrobe and she should be able to just rehearse and go on. We’re all ready for you Celine!!

Hahaha no I think I saw the valet where the chandelier fell down lol this may sound stupid but I walked up to the theatre and was surprised sins it was so much bigger then I expected. I knew it would be big but the photos just don’t do it justice. I’m curious to see the inside of it when Carrie premieres!

We obviously couldn’t see the inside of it. I just meant the entrance. I knew it would be grand but just the entrance itself was bigger then I thought it would be. The whole resort is just ridiculous. It’s to another level!

Just the grandeur! The theatre is as you walk in you go to the end of the hallway and it’s right there on the left. But the mall part of it is gorgeous too! It’s just so open and airy. Not typical LV casino I don’t think. It’s really nice! Just overall!

The views do look nice from the hotel as well despite the brown lot and undeveloped areas. I hope they tighten all the screws and get it all sorted out by the time Celine returns.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking will happen! Carrie, being the one to open, will help the hotel figure out what needs to happen as far as the theater is concerned I’m sure. Not that I could tell! There wasn’t any indication on the outside. It’s finished but there’s just ropes up and cancellation signs up so we couldn’t even walk inside the entrance far enough to see anything. The doors would’ve been shut anyways to the foyer inside the theatre before the doors to the seats.
