Wasn't trying to attack anyone. Just say that sometimes, as fans, we feel like we're owed more information than we really are. Whatever is going on, we're never going to be privy to every single last detail. She's said many times over the years she knows she's not going to make everyone happy 100% of the time so she just does what is right for her at the time. Many other artists don't share nearly as much as about themselves as she has throughout her career. And she's at a point now where she's not concerned about charts. Or social media. She just records and performs because she still has a passion for singing. Many by the time they reach her age are just done. If she was just starting her career, I'd expect to see more. But she's not. And she's said as much many times. Idk why we keep expecting something that's just not going to happen.

And, again, that's not meant to attack other fans who want more. We'd all love more. But I also think if we just wrap our heads around this is just how it is now, many could save themselves a lot of grief. But I can't make that decision for anyone else. That's a choice they make. And continue to make. And continue to complain. Instead of just being glad she's still out there doing anything. We could have easily seen her retire for good a while ago. But we haven't.

I say all of this often. And it falls on deaf ears, sadly.

Matthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall Inn

It's a mall, and an average one at that, in the middle of nowhere. And it just feels so beneath Celine to be playing at a mall. The theatre entrance looks more like a high-school auditorium than a high-class performance venue. It's all grand on the outside, but once you're in, it feels so small, and much like any average retail venue, in any North American suburb, with a casino plopped in the middle. I can't see many people strolling all the way just to "check it out". There's really nothing to check out.

I wish Bellagio had a concert venue. Now that's a Celine-worthy location.

Yeah I totally get that!

When in Vegas you go to check out the different hotels because they all have a totally different vibe and concept.

But these days all the modern stuff looks the same.

Bellagio would for sure be more Celine worthy.

There is a quiet condescension in this attitude.

Fans make valid critiques or ask valid questions, and other fans repond "Actually, you know you don't have any power to change any thing right? Actually, you're aging yourelf from all that grief, stress, and negative energy---you know that, right sweetie? Actually, just be grateful Celine isn't retired you spoiled brat."

None of that makes the questions or critiques any less valid.

You’re like a dog with a bone - you just won’t let go. People are trying to nicely explain to you that if we hear radio silence from Celine and her team, it doesn’t mean they’re doing a horrible job. It could mean that she’s sick or someone close to her is sick.

But if you want to moan and complain and spend your life trying to get Celine Dion to act like a different person, the person you would prefer her to be, no one can stop you. You’re as bad as Javito at this point - just saying and complaining about the same stuff over and over again. It becomes exhausting.

It is very odd you think that I don't know--or haven't said in the past--there could be multiple reasons for Celine's radio silence. I have said that since she went into hiding for the pandemic.

But accuracy is not your strong suit.

I'm not the only one who thinks that. Other people have been trying to explain it to you because you keep complaining about the fact that we don't hear enough from her. You never stop.

Self-reflection and self-awareness are clearly not your strong suit. :box:

Could you be any more asinine?

This entire exchange started with me saying her lack of promotion could have been due to her injury/injuries. That's not me complaining about how we don't hear enough from her.

You never come correct; it's just laughable at this point.

What’s laughable is how like Javito you are. Are you actually Javito under a diffferent name? Just like him, you say things and when people call you on it (in this instance, not me - someone did it before me who you decided to attack and argue with them) you deflect and gaslight.

Uh, you wish it was that deep. Keep shooting at the imaginary ghosts of Javito that live in your head, maybe that will keep you busy until you're ready to actually read the thread closely, accurately, and then maturely engage with what is actually said. We'll wait...

Yea, I was supposed to see her Tuesday on the 9th. I was walking around the house all day just kind of bummed and bored, lol! I canceled my flight when she made the announcement so at least I wasn't stuck in Vegas.
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I did that back in June 2019 , BTW I was supposed to see her Opening Night , It just wasn"t the same w/o the groups of fans and us Diehard fans

Claudette is at it again, though as expected, you’ve got to wonder how much she actually knows, seeing as she found out about the cancellation from the press at the same time we did.

They better bring back this kind of arrangement for this song. It’s much more alive than the new live orchestral arrangement

There are justifiable reasons and non-justifiable reasons. This is from the standpoint of competence.

Fans have a right to get angry when a team is not doing their job. If there are health issues at play, then fans have to be more understanding. And if fans do NOT know there are health issues at play, then they shouldn't be attacked for asking questions.

Good excuses versus bad excuses. We all know them in our daily lives, same applies to the music business.

I know this was a while ago in the thread but I'd like to comment. What exactly is her team's "job" as you put it? I've seen this similar phrase all over the forum and no one has ever actually explained or justified what they mean by this. You and several others seem to be thinking under the assumption that team Celine owes us something and us fans are the ones who are in control of her career (obviously you didn't explicitly say this, I'm just putting two and two together). What exactly are they supposed to be doing? Feeding us constant information and updates? Holding our hands like we're babies that can't live without her? Her team doing badly in your eyes and not meeting your expectations is also not a valid reason to complain about anything. Unless you can explain what it is her team's job is and why then there isn't any reason to think that.

Fans are not entitled to personal information related to Celine's health or her private life of any sort, nor are we entitled to constant updates and messages just because we miss her. Remember that Celine is a human being; she has rights like the rest of us and is entitled to privacy. I get that people miss her and are worried about her (actually most people don't really seem to be worried and are just complaining but that's besides the point), and that we're allowed to be curious and ask questions, but neither Celine or her team is obligated to tell us or answer anything unless it's related specifically to ticket sales or other legal matters (like disclosing why a show was cancelled, postponed etc.). We do have a right to know that and that's why they told us. However, they do not need to provide a reason for her absence...or make excuses as you put it. Why do we even need to know that? Because some people miss her? That's not a good reason.

I'm really just sick of seeing people constantly demand things from Celine. We don't need anything or have the right to know what's going on in her life. And I'm still waiting for someone to explain what their job is because I have know clue what you mean by that and it doesn't really seem like you do either.

Maybe Celine knows she’s a motor mouth, and doesn’t tell her anything?

I totally agree with the fact that there isn't that much they can post regarding her health while she is recovering and I respect that but I was talking about what her team is responsible of doing while she is not working and taking care of herself. Over the last 5 years they haven't done anything to promote her as the legend she is. Even for Resorts World they could have put up a reminder of who Celine is as a Superstar . But what we got was that little cheap trailer : https://youtu.be/_FcaCgWNwLQ

Fans wouldn't be arguing all the time if they would do a better job at celebrating her as the Icon she is

But to Queenofvegas’ point: That’s not a part of her team’s job description. You (and others here) just want it to be. Will y’all EVER let it go and just accept things as they are. As I’ve said before, it’s exhausting to read it. It must be exhausting to actually care about something so trivial.

Of course it is! And that is not trivial at all. Of course she does not run her social media channels but that is their job. And they haven’t put much interesting on her channels to promote her shows and her music. That is their job of course.

But something else; I got a article of from a Belgium gossip site which stated that Celine’s sister gave a update on her health condition - saying Celine is completely done and exhausted from working hard for the last couple of years. She is so exhausted that she needs a break of a year…. Where did this news come from? Is there any update on her health?

You could also apply that to your own point of view . There is no truth .. only perspectives and each of them are valid in the subjective world where they exist . I understand you are fine with the job her marketing team does for Celine and it is also ok to wish they would step up their game . Both opinions can coexist.

You can wish all you want but it ain't gonna happen. That's the message some of us are trying to get across. Wish away! But know that your wishing won't change things.
