Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Granted, this is coming from someone who never saw the show in person, but looking at the setlist for the "Let's Talk About Love Tour" makes me feel incredibly underwhelmed. Again, so many missed opportunities. Instead of "Declaration Of Love," "Just A Little Bit Of Love" should have been in its place. Instead of the covers medley, there could have been one to two songs from the album featured. (This would have been a great "cooldown" moment for "Miles To Go (Before I Sleep)" after having come off of the bombastic "All By Myself.")

 

A very poor set list and possibly her highest ever percentage of pre recorded tracks vs live songs. And then dropping the live All By Myself for a pre-recorded TPOL… don’t think I miss the opportunity of having it on DVD at all.

The greatest travesty indeed that the world doesn’t know ‘Us’. The recording sessions of it and her leaving in the limo and belting the song down the road is beyond incredible.

 

I wonder did she ever say ‘let’s do Us’ or at that time, did she simply just get handed the set list and sing whatever she was told to.

Unfortunately it's with a lot of songs she imagine being played in a club, or on stage.

They never ever get performed after the recordings.

 

Especially as Céline said during the recording of Us that that song would sound so amazing on stage.... lots of missed opportunities alright.

 

And about JALBOL it could have been a fun mash up with LCMM!

Arguably I think Courage was the worst victim of this, simply due to the fact that most of it was recorded 2+ years before they even came out… I mean she’d already recorded Lying Down by May of 2017, and I’d assume that most of it was indeed recorded around that time. The only ones we know definite dates for are Nov/Dec 2017 for Courage and August 2019 for The Hard Way. Outside of that they were all very much old by the time it came out, so I don’t necessarily blame her for not having a lot of passion for them by the time the tour came around.

Well they released Au Coeur du Stade for the French version of the tour so I am quite sure they must have filmed some of it.

I want to watch the entire LTAL Tour because…

 

- Her voice were amazing in that era

- Tell Him was part of the setlist. I want to see the virtual duet with Barbra

- S’il Suffisait D’aimer was also part of the setlist. Which she sang in an anglophone setlist. I like this song.

- Also Immortality was also part of the setlist.

Not at all related except to say that if Joni can relearn to play guitar by watching videos of herself and come back to the stage for the first time in 20 years after a brain aneurism, then Céline can kick the butt of some muscle spasms! (Also, hope Celine gets invited to a Joni Jam!)

There seems to a be a fresh wave of Celine is seriously ill / bedridden / dangerously low weight click bait articles doing the rounds. Two of my siblings have sent me screenshots in the last few days. I’ve tried to explain they aren’t true but they reckon because she is completely silent and there are so many ‘articles’ saying so that it must be true. Sigh.

 

I wonder how many casual fans with tickets for the CWT have seen similar stories?

 

I can no longer blame people for thinking she is in a bad way. I completely appreciate that she is recovering at the moment and her attention is fully focused there but it would do so much good if she could give a short interview / update on how she is. I know she doesn’t have to nor should she have to but that’s the reality of the situation, IMO.

I sm so scared that things might really be SCARY for her health-wise since it has been over 2 years & other than announcements of show postponements & cancellations, there has been NOTHING from her end or her teams end... I am thinking she is really sick & who knows when, or even if she is ever coming back...

Plus how do we even KNOW that next year, 2023, will be her "comeback year"? Remember how we all thought 2021 was going to be her "comeback year", then everything got postponed & Celine still stayed in hiding... Then remember how we all thought that THIS year, 2022, was going to be her "comeback year", but alas, pretty much the SAME SITUATION as last year repeats itself: more show cancellations & radio silence from Celine again!

 

I mean for one thing, there has been NO SIGNS that Celine is feeling better from her health problems, there has been no updates from her team in how many months now! & nothing against the year 2023 itself, but I do not see the big significance of it... As far as we know, there are no special events lined up & no special anniversaries of Celines albums or songs coming up (& to be honest, it seems like Celine & her team DONT CARE about anniversaries of her music anyway!)

First post on here in literal years... hi all. My opinion is she's sick but recovering from it. There are rumors swirling about that she might be back at Resorts World in late October/early November as the calendar is completely empty. It might be more than muscle spasms, or not, I don't know. I do, however think she needs to gain a little weight (back to her Taking Chances Tour weight would probably be best) as she's imo wayyyy too thin and needs some meat on her bones. It's not a good look and only adds fuel to the fire of the media saying she's deathly ill. We all know she's getting up there in age as well but that doesn't really mean anything when both Tina and Cher toured well into their 70's. I just hope she makes a comeback in Vegas. Us Americans deserve something since she canceled the tour dates!

EXACTLY! It does really feel like Celine is no longer alive sometimes, even though she still is! & I miss her so much & I am very WORRIED for her health as well!

 

Because we have really had NO UPDATES from her team in SEVERAL MONTHS since the announcements of the show cancellations earlier this year! It is almost August (we have passed over halfway of 2022 already,) & nothing but radio silence from Celine & her teams end! Yes she is entitled to not say things & to have privacy & such, but since there has been no updates in so long, & we have barely seen her in over 2 years now, it makes most of us fans (& even the casual fans who dont keep up with Celine news much like we do,) scared to death that her health has turned for the worse & possibly she is not ready to talk about it yet... Yep that is just how it looks to me & lots of other fans as well...

I don’t see any possible way she’ll be performing later this year. Late October is only three months away. That’s not very much time to ensure ticket sales would be solid. Plus, the logistics of fans having to procure last-minute hotel and air reservations would be insane. So, while I could be wrong, I would say Celine isn’t performing this year.

I was thinking, Celine was exercising a lot, many people when they are in physical activities, they start taking anabolic steroids, to have strength, muscles, I'm not saying that she took it, just assuming that this can also be one of the causes of the spasms, in case she has taken you.

Celine could do a little video. People are panicking saying it’s two years. It’s not. She was talking about Vegas last year. It’s been around 8 months. I suspect she’s still not right. Possibly quite unwell. I also suspect she may retire from music soon and enjoy life. Who could blame her. I would !

Some dogs gain weight in old age for many reasons, could be due to medication. Labradors are also very prone to gain weight in old age.
