mirage Posted March 15, 2024 at 12:58 PM Posted March 15, 2024 at 12:58 PM (edited) One of the particularly disappointing things about the covid and later SPS delays and cancellations, is the loss of Celine's planned appearance at Les Vieilles Charrues. No, I had no tickets nor plans to be there, but was very much looking forward to Celine in a festival environment. And seeing Shania announced as one of the headliners for Glastonbury makes me all the more sad about it.Celine to perform on The Legends Slot on Glastonbury would be insane!! I don't get the Shania hype these days, but lucky for her she seems to have gotten back to the spotlight after years not performing. With her SPS things seems to be so unsure for the future, but who knows! Even Diana Ross gave a show far in her 70s Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-F721B met Tapatalk Edited March 15, 2024 at 01:00 PM by mirage Quote

With her SPS things seems to be so unsure for the future, but who knows! Even Diana Ross gave a show far in her 70s There’s an interesting and topical article in Variety: https://variety.com/2024/music/opinion/aging-pop-stars-struggle-popular-music-1235943142/ “Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez and the Challenge of Aging a Pop Career Gracefully Fifty may be the new forty in some areas of life, but popular music isn’t one of them. With very few exceptions, pop musicians make their most vital work in their twenties and early thirties, and even if they continue to perform to sold-out arenas into their eighties, as the Rolling Stones have, the fans are largely indifferent to their new music and just want to hear the hits — leading to the seemingly counterintuitive situation of artists with sold-out tours connected to new albums that are, comparatively anyway, flops. Yet the level of ambition and ego required to reach the top in the first place rarely fades with age, and those artists’ desire/ desperation to remain relevant can reach cringeworthy levels.[…]But still, they try, and like every rite of passage since the dawn of humanity, each generation has to learn it for themselves. Recent cases in point: the new albums from Justin Timberlake and Jennifer Lopez, and Madonna’s “Celebration” tour.[…]So it often goes in the mature era of a formerly can-do-no-wrong musical career, when age and decades of success cocoon the superstar from reading how completely the room temperature has changed. So who is aging gracefully? It’s an ongoing challenge that has no one-size-fits-all.” Just some choice excerpts but the entire article’s worth a read. Abodi2002 Posted April 5, 2024 at 01:01 PM Posted April 5, 2024 at 01:01 PM I was finally able to get the videos off my moms phone of the Detroit concert I attended on my birthday in 2019. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 are not complete. I’d be curious to know what these videos show. I expect you can see Celine but it wouldn’t shock me if she pointed the camera to me for part of the time. I included the full audio in the folder too, I know I’ve shared that. Enjoy these, and if anyone has more videos feel free to add them. Would love to here better audio of IYAMT. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1--owiPU8eYTp1fU43SdWEy3DpofLoEB1 2 Quote

Céline RO Posted June 16, 2024 at 05:42 AM Posted June 16, 2024 at 05:42 AM I wonder what's in play for this tour now Nothing. It’s been canceled. We’re starting again now in a much better place, far far away from that cursed era. 4 Quote The best is yet to come...
scielle Posted June 16, 2024 at 12:20 PM Posted June 16, 2024 at 12:20 PM I keep thinking of all the shows I saw her do in 2019-2020. She was probably in pain and highly medicated and we were none the wiser. The symptoms must have already been quite bad then. Extreme weight loss is one of them (Tara Zier said she lost 30lbs in a month at one point), and we know that was evidently happening to Celine at the time. I had tickets to those initial Montreal shows, too, that got cancelled in late Sept’19 due to a “throat virus”. She must have been so scared and frustrated by not knowing what’s happening to her at the time. 2 Quote
smw Posted July 20, 2024 at 04:26 AM Posted July 20, 2024 at 04:26 AM (edited) So interesting/sad to look back at these clips, knowing what we now know. I’m glad, at least, Celine finally knows the real cause of her health issues. The pandemic was a gift to her in that regard. Edited July 20, 2024 at 04:28 AM by smw 2 Quote
Abodi2002 Posted July 20, 2024 at 04:49 AM Posted July 20, 2024 at 04:49 AM The next day was much better vocally. A lot of the October shows were somewhat okay, November was okay except Milwaukee, and December was mostly kinda bad with some all right moments. The inconsistancies are a bit interesting to look back at. Quote
Abodi2002 Posted September 27, 2024 at 12:53 AM Posted September 27, 2024 at 12:53 AM Does anyone here have the full St. Louis 2019 audio? I think a member here attended that show and recorded it. Thanks to some members I was able to add songs from most dates to google drive so if anyone is interested PM me and I'll send it to you. Quote
sarit_celine Posted October 25, 2025 at 07:10 PM Posted October 25, 2025 at 07:10 PM Was this entire part live? Damn, I'm starting to love LD. The lyrics are so deep. 1 Quote "Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City HallNeeded where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"

Abodi2002 Posted October 26, 2025 at 01:44 PM Posted October 26, 2025 at 01:44 PM I'm glad I got to hear her perform Laying Down when I saw her in Detroit. I would consider it a highlight personally. I wished The Reason would've stayed for longer though. Seeing as it's a pretty demanding song I'm not shocked it was dropped after 2 shows. Laying Down didn't stick around for too long either. 14 shows if I'm doing correct math. Quote
ryba Posted October 26, 2025 at 03:02 PM Posted October 26, 2025 at 03:02 PM I wish she would have performed Heart of Glass. It’s not a vocally demanding song. And it would be a banger! And Boundries at the end. 3 Quote

The lyrics are so deep.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m1TA7U-f-E This really was a great performance of LY and TR! She was very well vocally, but damnnnn was she thin! I wonder how she would have looked if the tour continued like it did. The only thing I don't like as much are the back up singers. I don't think they needed to repeat the "Lying down" part at the end all the time. This video of Louisville October 22nd, 2019 came in my feed too... Thanks again Tyler! I liked the 'choreo' she did with the song, made it less static! And sounded great there too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyYddn4mR3k But yeah what can I say about the show itself... I dunno why they made such big staged without dancers. The stage seems so big and so empty. The footage on the screens weren't that exciting either. It was a missed opportunity. And Céline looked very small with the bob and the body fitting dress. It all needed some volume! And the Courage world tour had the worst setlist ever. PERIOD. Why FOMO, Imperfections and LD were only performed so shortly... Why there weren't any other Courage songs and why there were so many damn random covers is still beyond me. 2 Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
