We’ve bought Paris through Ticketmaster as well. For both Amsterdam and Paris they asked banking information and confirmed we should receive the money before the end of the month (and one night Amsterdam before July 1st). Haven’t received it yet though. So I was curious about other experiences. Seems that they spread the payments.

Finally took some time to compose an email to France Billet en français asking how to get a refund when their online form won't accept a US phone number and the US doesn't use the banking system reference that they require. Hoping to hear back from them soon - I'd like my €150+ back!

Onlangs hebben wij je laten weten dat de concerten van Celine Dion helaas niet door zullen gaan en dat wij jouw ticket(s) uiterlijk 31 juli aan je terug zullen betalen. De combinatie van de datum waarop je de tickets hebt aangeschaft met de gebruikte betaalmethode (bijvoorbeeld creditcard, cadeaukaart, PayPal) zou er echter voor kunnen zorgen dat onze terugbetaling niet slaagt. Om te zorgen dat iedereen de terugbetaling zo snel mogelijk ontvangt, vragen wij je onderstaande opties goed door te nemen:

 

Optie 1

Je weet zeker dat de betaalmethode die je hebt gebruikt bij de aanschaf van de tickets nog gebruikt kan worden voor onze terugbetaling. In dit geval hoe je niets te doen en kan je deze e-mail verwijderen. Het geld zal uiterlijk 31 juli 2023 op je rekening of crecitcard worden bijgeschreven.

 

Optie 2

De rekening of creditcard is inderdaad niet meer in gebruik. Stuur ons dan het (nieuwe) rekeningnummer (IBAN) waar wij het geld naar over mogen maken via dit formulier (formulier voor speciale gelegenheden - je kan de rekening informatie invullen in het 'Vraag' veld. Als je het ordernummer niet weet, vul dan een 0 in, we kunnen je order ook op je e-mail adres terugvinden). We verzoeken je om dit voor 20 juni 2023 te doen.

Je weet het niet zeker. Obviously, priority right now is to ensure she has good quality of life and pain-free day-to-day existence.

Consensus seems to be if she does come back to performing, it would be in Vegas, where she can set up shop for a number of shows at a time and have a home base.

But - hear me out here - if that IS possible, and she’s able to sustain a single-venue schedule for a couple weeks at a time, maybe the solution to touring is “mini residencies” in major cities. No grueling travel schedule, she could set up shop is a central location for several weeks, and have people come to her. She already kinda does that on a personal level - lives in a single hotel for a month, and just does day trips to individual tour stops. So maybe the solution - health permitting, of course - is some mini-residencies in cities like Paris, London, New York. These are already tourist destinations in their own right, and like Vegas, people make a vacation out of it. She could easily sell out multiple nights in these cities and if marketed properly, it could be a workable alternative to touring.

She pioneered the Vegas residency. Why not pioneer a Paris one?

 

I like the idea but I am wondering if there is the type of infrastructure in those other cities: theatres of 2k/3k with the staging technology on par with the Vegas residence shows.

 

Certainly there are “classic” / traditionnel venues but could they support what a residence has become, I wonder.

I just realised that Celine performs more than most of the artists out there. Las Vegas shows for 16 years without any proper break. She works so many nights, tours a lot. We have got one tour every year since 2016.

She needs to take longer breaks between her shows. Sometimes she used to do touring just after vegas. Could be tiring.

I received Paris about a month after the confirmation. For Amsterdam I had several reservations. I received 2 of them on the day they said it would come (end of June), but the third one didn’t come that day (despite a confirmation for that date as well). Got that one a week later. This was Ticketmaster.

I can’t just choose one. For 2019, Detroit might be the best, my audio recording is available for download in the Courage tour section. Columbus and Louisville were decent as well. For 2020. I would say San Antonio and Baltimore

Has anyone in the US had any luck getting a refund for EU concerts? I'm still going back and forth with France Billet because they keep asking for an IBAN number and I keep telling them the US doesn't use the IBAN system so my bank can't provide an IBAN number. It's really frustrating and they're not being very helpful.

Their emails come from a generic email address (scwebfrancebillet@francebillet.com), but they're identified by a case number, so I don't know that emailing them at that address will help - but you never know. At least they confirmed receiving your information.
