Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

I just clicked through a few of the dates and there are SO many seats unsold for these shows.

I'm very curious to see what happens.

If she decides to move forward with the shows, there will have to be some more promotion -- which could easily be done just by ads popping up in social media feeds / maybe some commercials on TV.

I also hope they drop the prices because the seats are still expensive, and the shows would sell out much faster if they're more reasonable priced.

They'd definitely need some promotion around it. Especially after the Vegas announcement. I'd bet a lot of people don't realize she's still touring because she's opening there in November. If I wasn't a die hard fan I probably wouldn't know.

I think they are basing it off of her schedule. Winnipeg is at red level at the moment they don't even have plans to re-open so I highly doubt that one will go through.

I wouldn't rely on that article too heavily. They have Gaga performing this year starting at Fenway Park. Just checked her official website and her all of her Chromatica tour dates have been postponed until next year.

 

However, concerning Celine, I think that here in two months time, she'll be back on the road to finish the US Courage dates. I'm sure AEG and Resorts World would love for those to be finished. The Canadian dates could be tacked on to the beginning of the European leg next year.

The US is pretty much open everywhere at this point. Some places still have some guidance in regards to masks but all the arenas (that I'm aware of) are allowed to be full capacity now so I'd be surprised if any of the scheduled US dates got postponed again.

I meant as far as Resorts World allowing her to do concerts in the US, not that the US would not allow concerts.

The tour is tentatively set to go on . But chance of cancellation since all based around local government mandates and Covid still .

I don't know if we'll hear anything unless they cancel or postpone, which I'm not expecting because pretty much everything is open now. And there's other tours going this summer. We might see her team post an excited to be back post on the night of the first show (or leading up to it) or something but I'm not expecting much else there.

It shouldn't. I've been keeping my eye on this. Essentially, if you're vaccinated, you're protected against the Delta variant - there is absolutely no need for concern. If people can't get vaccinated for medical reasons, they may need to still wear their masks and/or just stay home until things are more under control. But, essentially, if you got a Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccine, they're finding they protect people against all variants and probably for years to come, possibly forever.

 

Canada doesn't seem to be doing as good a job with vaccinations so CWT may not be able to happen there but, at this point, with all of the sports games filled to capacity in North America, her U.S dates and the Vegas show should go forward just fine.

The delta variant, a strain of COVID-19 believed to be more transmissible and dangerous than others, is likely to break out in some U.S. communities, one health expert says.

 

“It’s not going to be as pervasive,” Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, told CBS. “It’s going to hyper-regionalized. There’s certain pockets of the country where you’re going to have very dense outbreaks.”

 

Those pockets will be ones with low vaccination rates and low rates of prior infection, Gottlieb said, like in many rural and southern communities.

The national figure is far from the 70 to 85% of the population experts including Dr. Anthony Fauci estimated would likely need to become immune through vaccine or prior infection to control the virus’ spread — and with vaccine rates declining, some officials worry the U.S. will not get to that threshold.

 

Though the rate of vaccination may be slowing, Gottlieb said he’s optimistic that some unvaccinated Americans will soon make the decision to get the vaccine as they go back to work and school in the fall.

It's only the vaccine-hesitant and those who are medically unable to get vaccinated that should be concerned. That's why, if you can, it's super important that you get vaccinated. It's not that Canada isn't doing good with vaccinations it's that our Provincial health officers are alot stricter and slower in re-opening and even so are still getting alot of backlash. Many people want them to go even slower. I cannot speak for all provinces but here in Vancouver our Provincial Health Officer has denied multiple requests to push up restart dates for concerts. Montreal turned down the Canadians whom asked for the arena to allow more fans in. I am quite baffled why except for Harry Styles why Celine is the only one who has yet to update her concert listings. Literally here in Vancouver everyone has cancelled their shows until October at the earliest.

Exactly why I think anything US based will be fine!

 

Canada is a different story entirely. I almost feel like the few dates there should just be canceled. If she postpones them they'd have to be at the end of the Europe dates already scheduled, which would be end of 2022 at this point. I know that would disappoint many fans but if it's not selling well now, it may be worse by then. Unless they promo this tour more, I feel like most of the general public just thinks she's going back to Vegas. Of course by the end of 2022, Covid will be under control a lot more and may spur ppl to buy tickets again. ‍♀️

Not really.

 

If anything, I think the set lists will probably be virtually identical if not absolutely identical; she’ll probably swap TLBSEPT for PQTME and change Imagine for Somewhere Over The Rainbow or What a Wonderful World and that’ll be it

I doubt any more Courage songs will be added - they're too difficult for her to sing live and, unless she goes back to lipping heavily because she's in Vegas, she seems to like to add songs she can actually sing these days. One of the only exceptions I could see is "Say Yes" - she should be able to do that one live. I think there's a better chance she'll add the new Dianne Warren song as well as sing new covers. She might go back into her old catalogue and sing an old single, as she did with WDMHBN in Vegas and then IYAMT during Courage World Tour.
