nuts2you Posted November 12, 2021 at 11:30 PM Posted November 12, 2021 at 11:30 PM Fingers crossed that she will do some major Prom for this tour again to sale tickets , cause if you look at all these shows there are alot of tickets left, Quote
scielle Posted November 13, 2021 at 12:15 AM Posted November 13, 2021 at 12:15 AM Why is this interesting? Because it’s the first time there’s been active tour promo in months (perhaps ~2 years?) Because they’re still promoting it while Vegas is cancelled, suggesting CWT is in fact still on, despite many believing it’s also getting cancelled (as far as this particular venue is concerned, at least). Because Vancouver was, I believe, one of the poorest-selling venues even before Covid-induced havoc. 3 Quote

At this point, what’s the sense of wondering that? We can’t be sure she’ll even return to the stage in 2022 — that’s just as far as they made cancellations. We won’t know for sure until 2-3 weeks before the tour resumes whether or not she’s going forward. Quote
browseceline Posted November 14, 2021 at 08:43 PM Posted November 14, 2021 at 08:43 PM I think it would be good for her if she does a Oprah interview plus a liveshow like Adele did. PuraVida Posted November 14, 2021 at 08:49 PM Posted November 14, 2021 at 08:49 PM It is just horrible if the reason she has these muscle spasms is due to the inclined stage that they built custom for her. Cruel irony and very unfair if that's the case. I feel so bad that she is not 100% Quote

jpatdeleon09 Posted November 15, 2021 at 10:40 AM Posted November 15, 2021 at 10:40 AM (edited) That raked stage is common in theaters. So, having that on A New Day makes sense. And I think that kind of stage looks visually better for the audience and for the special effects. But it would be very hard for the dancers for sure. i like that big stage it’s so iconic. And I like how Céline standing on that raked stage looks good on camera. The posture I don’t know for me it just looks better but the theater for the resorts world looks bad compared to Colosseum at Caesars Palace (a new day era). The performance area is just too small. If ever i will have the power to design a theater. I’ll do the same they did in A New Day.. Big stage and just 4000 seats since it’s a residency show. Night after night you do the same so I won’t sacrifice the big stage just to have more seats. I just think having a big stage you can be more creative and more props to put just to have a best show Edited November 15, 2021 at 10:46 AM by jpatdeleon09 1 Quote

Performing on it is not super dangerous probably on its own, but she did SOOO many shows on it those first years with so much frequency and intensity that it could have taken its toll. Quote

Oprah seems to have a some sort of gig with them ever since she prematurely ended her 60 Minutes role. It doesn't help that Les Moonves isn't President anymore since he was a major Celine supporter. It's strange that Celine was the number 1 guest on the Oprah show but the two have not united since 2011. 2 Quote

They even moved these shows from Friday/Saturday to Sunday/Monday, then Monday/Tuesday. I think they're not expecting a sellout, so they're trying to limit costs to rent the venue at this point instead of cancelling one of the nights. Worth mentioning that Vancouver is the only city besides San Francisco not offering a negative test option. Quote

Nmj Posted December 8, 2021 at 02:25 AM Posted December 8, 2021 at 02:25 AM she better do some Major Promoting I still see Lots of tickets for sale at alot of places With Covid, let alone… her bad health issues lately she’s become a big gamble to plan on seeing live(which can’t be helping). That and also the demand to see her has gone down… since she performs so much… up until til Covid she does Vegas extendedly, than a world tour and then back to Vegas again. There’s more Celine making demand to see her go down. Quote

There’s more Celine making demand to see her go down. The original plan was that Vegas was gonna fall after all of the Courage dates had finished, right? I feel bad for Celine that these contracts seem to be whisking her around without her having much input or flexibility. I mean, they allowed her to stop performing when Rene got sick and then with this latest thing, but I wonder at what cost to her. Sometimes, I feel she is treated as a cash cow. She always has her next 2 years planned out for her. And apparently she will be in Vegas until 2026? Sigh. Edited December 8, 2021 at 07:40 AM by PuraVida Quote
Charles Posted December 11, 2021 at 05:54 AM Posted December 11, 2021 at 05:54 AM (edited) Hi all. Not sure where to share this but I’ll try here. Last week when I was browsing on LinkedIn, I saw a poll asking people which of the singers (Celine Dion and Billie Eilish) they would like to see perform in a live concert in Vancouver. The poster works at HRIS company called UKG (the same company that sponsors tennis world number 1 player Novak Djokovic). Of course majority voted for Celine. And I know someone working at UKG and he told me that Celine will indeed perform in a private concert in Feb/March timeframe in Vancouver . Don’t know if this is 100% true but thought I should share! Interesting. Probably just after the dates she'd have to perform in Vegas maybe. If this all is true, paired with the rumor that Celine might never go perform at RW, makes me wonder how serious the spams were (if she had them at all) and why she doesn't want to perform at RW. Did they go back on something negotiated, was she unhappy with her show. All very intriguing. Thank you for sharing. Edited December 11, 2021 at 07:51 AM by maki_Dion-er Quote

I wonder if RW will still be around by the time she’s in position to perform there.Execs quitting (or getting fired) months into the job, restaurants closing, hotel occupancy barely above 50%, computer systems going down across entire property, falling chandeliers… nothing is going right for them.
