I think unless she cancels/postpones again she probably won't make any other announcements about it. They'll just continue with the shows as planned.

She might make a generic post and/or recorded video saying something to the effect of she's excited to get started, etc. but that's the most I'm expecting there. Especially now with Vegas coming up.

She will have to say something with Canada. My cousin works for Ticketmaster and right now her Vancouver show in their internal files is listed as cancelled.(not the on the website they only change the website when they get word from her) She told me they are just waiting to hear from Celine if she will reschedule or not.

Oh wow, that's a bummer.

I wonder if that really means cancelled for good or just "indefinitely postponed"/ not budgeted for this fiscal year.

That tells me the vendor is waiting to hear officially. As far as the fans go I still think that unless she officially cancels or postpones, I don't think we'll hear much except for the generic "here's some updated show dates" post. Possibly a video to accompany it. Now if it's canceled she'll most likely record a message to address that.

But in regards to shows already scheduled (especially here in the states), what I meant is she's already made announcements there, so I doubt we'll hear anything else unless she cancels or postpones again.

Vancouver cannot go through one way or another. Our PHO is not budging September 7 is restart date for concerts. So Celine will have to decide does she cancel the two Vancouver shows or does she postpone. I think when health guidlines come into effect Ticketmaster automatically lists the shows as cancelled in their internal system until they hear back from the artists team or management or whoever and see will they be rescheduling or not. Depending on whether she goes through with the Canada leg or not(all provinces have different restart plans) she may issue some sort of message or atleast post something in regards to the ones postponed. Last time we were notified on her IG via post(no video message) and sent emails asking if we wanted to hold on to our tickets or ask for a refund.

Gotcha. I'm sure they're in the process of trying to figure it out now.

There was an article in CNN just yesterday I think about when arena-sized concerts would be safe to return. Governments/scientists don’t know/can’t agree yet.

Las Vegas and Broadway houses are smaller so both of those have been given the go ahead to return. But Broadway tours (which play bigger houses) and Celine Dion-sized arena concerts have yet to be given the green light.

I suspect that, just as before, they’ll make decisions about whether or not to postpone around 30 days prior to the shows taking place. I also suspect that they’d rather make one announcement postponing everything than lots of small announcements show by show. But with Team Celine, you never know.

Did you look at the cheapest city overall including flight hotel etc.? Is that how you chose the AZ show?

I know me also as well! I still have tickets to Washington DC show from last year that got postponed, I am still wondering if that show will also still happen as well...

& I really DO hope that the Washington DC show WILL happen as it will probably be my ONLY CHANCE to see Celine in concert (as I can not afford to travel to Vegas, Europe, etc to see her shows, sorry I love Celine, but I have a family to feed & bills to pay, & travelling is not in my budget right now or for the immediate future things have been hard since this pandemic!)

Does anybody know about the DC show? Thanks in advanced if anybody knows whats going on, thanks so much...

There are A TON of tickets remaining for the last few dates. They’re gonna have to either cancel this tour, or drastically lower prices.

As is the case with virtually every tour right now. A lot of people resold their tickets, refunded or companies just released all their held back tickets. The European dates seem to have maintained their sold-out/ almost sold-out status. I think NA might just be a lot of people are hesitant and/or downright fearful to attend something of that magnitude again so soon

I also think that's indeed the issue... and most likely older people not wanting to attend such large concerts for now.

I cannot speak for all shows but Vancouver was not selling well at all. And I don't mean recently I mean way before the pandemic even hit which is why it really shocked me they had added a second date.

I wonder if NA economy just doing worse than others. Not sure.

PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh just announced Alabama’s tour is stopping on September 25th. Celine’s concert is the 24th! I have no doubt in my mind now that the US dates are going forward! Fingers crossed for all of you in Canada!

That depends entirely on who you ask LOL. I think most people here are just ready for normal. In the U.S. at least, I feel like if pro-sports are allowed to be at full capacity I don't see why concerts wouldn't be allowed to resume as planned. In fact a lot of artists here have tours starting up this summer/fall.

I agree if there will be any cancelations or postponements it'll be around that 30-day prior to the show(s) mark. Personally, as much as I know it'd be disappointing to some, I feel like if a lot of people gave up their tickets and not many will be attending anymore she should just cancel. I understand that costs money, she doesn't like disappointing fans, etc. but if a good bit of these shows are as empty as they've been made out to be, I don't see how they could go on successfully. Unless they add in more promos (some may not even realize she's still touring after the Vegas announcement) and lower prices.

Fairness is one thing. But maybe some people really need the money from their tickets and don't have it to spare anymore.

I totally understand that. It wasn't meant to slight anyone in that situation. More to make the point that if the shows aren't really selling anymore, especially since it's been soooo long at this point since they were originally scheduled, it just seems like it might be better all the way around to just cancel it (especially if the venue(s) is as empty as some have said they are).

For sure. I was just responding to the fact someone said (I haven't checked myself) that the Europe dates were holding up very well versus the USA ones not as well. Might have something to do with financial health after the pandemic.

I just clicked through a few of the dates and there are SO many seats unsold for these shows.

I'm very curious to see what happens.

If she decides to move forward with the shows, there will have to be some more promotion -- which could easily be done just by ads popping up in social media feeds / maybe some commercials on TV.

I also hope they drop the prices because the seats are still expensive, and the shows would sell out much faster if they're more reasonable priced.

You what she could do is the CITI Concert in NY for the TODAY SHOW like she did in 2016 (I think that was the yr)
