And guess what!: I was right. The live version of Imperfections is shoddy at best

 

I agree. I think it would probably sound better 2 semitones higher, the current key is too low for Céline which results in a very nasal/mushy sound. It’s also difficult for her to control pitch. Even in that higher key the highest note would only be an A4, which is crazy!

It's not a shame. If it's a fact that they use those concerts to promote/execute their political agenda, even more the ones that violate human rights, it's a citizen's right to manifest against it.

I’d say one of the major reasons people respond so well to the current medley is because the visuals are outstanding. Flashing neons, colorful lights, sparkly jumpsuit, etc. Sadly, Céline’s own repertoire is lacking in upbeat funky songs.

 

With how much she’s played up her love of Prince, Queen & Stevie Wonder over the years, I was really hoping Courage would have some more Rock/Funk/Gospel sounds on it. “How Did You Get Here” has a doo-wop vibe, but the beat isn’t as energetic as these covers she’s doing...

 

It's because of the outstanding visuals, and because most of the crowd are people who used to hear those songs. Now I listen to them because of Celine haha.

Quite likely, though I’m having a hard time imagining Céline performing “Think Twice” with Kaven in that red dress. I would rather have it instead of TLYM and have something else (like “Only One Road”) replace IYAMT. However, knowing Céline and her team, you’re probably right.

You don't know that. You're basing that statement on a handful of photos taken of local celebs during the hour or so when the media were on site. The event lasted a full day and, aside from a brief period when select few members of the press were allowed in to pay their respects, it was open only to friends and family for the remainder of the day.

I dont say I know it its not statement OMG ... you dont see first word on that sentense that word is MAYBE ... it was just thinking why Patrick is not work for her from time his father is dead.

Which is why I thought it important to clarify that was a conjecture, not a statement of fact, because as we've seen over and over again on this forum, with time the former often gets twisted into the latter.

The newspaper La Presse gave a list of guests supposed to come and there was no mention of any Angelil family.
