jpatdeleon09 Posted February 19, 2020 at 07:41 AM Posted February 19, 2020 at 07:41 AM Was I proven wrong? Did she replace the medley with her own French songs?! I'm on the edge of my seat! LMAO I don’t think so... 1 Quote
mirage Posted February 19, 2020 at 08:28 AM Posted February 19, 2020 at 08:28 AM Even it would be replaced with the 1 time only medley she did for USF in 2013. (and that one was AWESOME, with the oldies) It would have shown more Courage and creativity than honoring the dead artists. Was I proven wrong? Did she replace the medley with her own French songs?! I’m on the edge of my seat! LMAO 1 Quote

Those are perfect spots for her to give a nod to her French roots. If she is to do covers, at least do damn covers of well-known French songs from singers in her home country. Not doing so just stinks of sell out commercialism with little to no artistry. Well she is doing “Lady Marmalade” which is a cover of a famous French song by a Quebec singer. Popular Post quebec555 Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:03 PM Popular Post Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:03 PM This whole tour has become a joke for the fans. She always says she does not want to disappoint the fans, well she does big time here! Of course for the large public, they are happy to attend the « Greatest hits world tour ». My mom will enjoy hearing Beauty and the beast, but you need a balance in a show to please the fans AND the larger public. There is simply NO balance here and it's pretty much insulting to the fans. How in the world has Celine become so lazy ? This tour is just a mash up of previously rehearsed songs. This is lame and disappointing. I suggest the fans should write a letter, a kind message to Celine that could be posted online and sent to her team to point out the frustration of paying 300$ a ticket and hear the same old songs and arrangements over and over again. Could also be published online and sent to a journalist to wake them up. She has 20 new fresh songs that are just out and ready to be discovered, she says she's so proud of that new stuff and yet... we are STILL spending 15 minutes of the show on the useless You're the voice, to make 20 000 people in an arena literally discover for the first time an old Australian 80s hit!? We are still getting the Prince cover after signing it 5 years in Vegas and in 2 previous summer tours? She is not even performing the first song that announced this tour and the « I'm leaving Las Vegas» message, that is Flying on my own. It was even released as a « live single »! People are expecting it! I mean, the live arrangements of that song are already rehearsed (performed in Vegas and in London) and yet You're the voice and KISS still make the cut over Flying on my own!? She looks like a karaoke singer that has no repertoire. This is just being lazy and laughing at the fans and they need to know... This can't go on. If it is the Courage World Tour then we must get some Courage. If it is the Greatest hits world tour, I'm not buying a ticket. Celine and her people need to know that there is some major frustration among the fans who want to see her evolves as an artist and hear new stuff live on stage. Should we team up with the red heads and write something, very kind and elegant to Celine but to LET HER KNOW at last. She says she does want to disappoint the fans, well she needs to know when she does big time like this. 15 Quote
AdrienneM Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:13 PM Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:13 PM Didnt she literally spend 2016,2017 and 2018 rediscovering, singing and slaying old, forgotten songs but for the first tour in 3 years she doesnt and all the effort she put in those tours becomes obsolete/is forgotten? 3 Quote
Popular Post tomdalbou Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:31 PM Popular Post Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:31 PM Hello, Yesterday was my second Courage concert in Montreal. Always touching to see Celine back in Quebec. People love her so much. And I was so close to her. I must say that I prefered the 2016 tour, the last one I attended in Mtl. I, too, am a little bit disappointed by the set list. The new album is full of wasted diamonds. But the way she sings the song Courage live is magnificent. And she dedicated the song to her mom, saying that it has a new meaning to her now. I cried a lot. My all time favorite is TLBSEPT and I still am completely surprised that she sings it live. Ive been surprised since 2016 I guess. The mic malfunction impros were perfect. Sooo Celine. And thank god she replaced À vous by TTWII. And the PQTME finale is so emotional. I would have liked her to song Ce n’était qu’un rêve as a tribute to her mom tho. Ok thats my review bye guys! Envoyé de mon iPhone en utilisant Tapatalk 9 Quote
maki_Dion-er Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:34 PM Posted February 19, 2020 at 01:34 PM Here we go with the lazy argument. Can people get a new go to word? Uninspired, unoriginal, repetitive, tired, etc. These are all more accurate descriptors than lazy. And they definitely know her fans want more rare and new songs, but as Scott said in an early interview, their idea is to bring part of Vegas to those that couldn't go. And I guess they want to reconnect with those fans after 10 years of not touring the US. That's extremely unfortunate a little unfair but it is what it is. She's not gonna change the US setlist at this point or anything that was already planned. The only hope for change is once she goes to Europe, and even there I doubt we'll see any big changes. If there are then that really sucks for us US fans that wanted to hear more of the new album. Maybe a letter would help but likely for the next tour. 2 Quote

Rossum89 Posted February 19, 2020 at 03:05 PM Posted February 19, 2020 at 03:05 PM So issues with the wire mic in Raleigh and now Montreal, I wonder if that's enough for her to go back to wireless. Generally when she has issues with the wireless is when she reverts back to the wire mic. 1 Quote http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3003/newconcertdvddesign3.jpgCredit goes to Timster for the great pic! AdrienneM Posted February 19, 2020 at 04:32 PM Posted February 19, 2020 at 04:32 PM Convenience. That's what it is. Then don't call it Courage world tour when promoting the new album certainly isn't the point of this tour. The tour sold bundled album copies, she mentions the album throughout the show and she performs 2 of the singles. The tour promotes the album. Just because shes not performing 15 tracks doesnt mean she isnt promoting. Is it alot of album representation? No. Would I like more album representation? Yes. Is she overall promoting and representing the album to a degree? Yes. 3 Quote
A new day... That would explain the completely overpromising name of this tour... Without those bundles the #1 would be far far away as we all know. Quote

That would explain the completely overpromising name of this tour... Without those bundles the #1 would be far far away as we all know. Not true actually. From Rolling Stones chart, first day the bundle lump sum was immediately added on and she was at ~60,000 copies, then, by the end of the week she had made it to 120,500 total units (with 112,000 being pure copies). So in actuality, she wouldve still had an organic #3, with there only being ~16,000 between the #1 spot and herself and only ~8,000 between her and the #2 (Tory Lanez and Post Malone respectively) 1 Quote
