What's this chatter about Luc Plamondon? Is it a tribute show? Or is he performing his own songs? I can't find anything about it...

 

I am not sure. I've tried to look online and the only thing I can find is: L'opera Rock Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon Starmania La Seine Musicale. Maybe that's what Celine went to see?

La Seine Musicale is a venue in Paris, and the show won't begin there before months.

By the way, Luc Plamondon is not a singer.

During the first part of the MHWGO climax you can hear an unusually pronounced echo (about 2 repetitions), a few seconds later it stops. It’s as if there were 3 tracks playing at the same time. I really don’t think that’s natural echo.

it is Plamondon symphonic....songs by Lus Plamondon, big orchestra with a lot of good singers and a big choir.

i think i am getting tired of such a great singer using playbacks for her biggest tracks. it is a shame and yes many other artists do it but does not make it normal for me. i’d rather hear a couple of less perfect notes than the same playback every time.

Playback is the only thing at this point saving her from her voice completely disintegrating. At this point its more of a preservation technique than anything else, lets thank the fact that she lips less now than she did for years prioe

To lower the key is risky,

 

1) The song could sound bad if its way lower, if not less impactful and more “boring”

 

2) The audience (as well as many on here) have a habit of complaining about lowered keys. People pay (or so they believe) to hear Celine hitting the high notes the way no one else can. Take the last note of TPOL down by a full note and it just becomes.. well... a note.

 

3) Regardless of key or arrangement, singing 20 songs a night, 3 times a week whilst travelling constantly just isnt healthy at all. If she didnt do it at 25, she aint doing it at 51

The argument of preserving her voice is getting old? Really? It's more that she is getting old and despite that she now sings the vast majority of the list live. You honestly expect her to sing TPOL or the note of ABM live night after night? Is that even remotely realistic?

 

And you think there are way too many playback songs when she fully/partially lips 6 songs out of 22? And the medley does count as 5 songs because it does last 11-12 min. and i don't know any other song of hers that lasts that long.. Personally, i'd rather have her lip the ultra hits, which i don't even care about, than songs like TP, TLB, C, IYAMT etc.

It's (pleasantly) surprising that she can go out, in Montreal, in a very public place like Place des Arts, and be largely left alone, it seems. Given that no pictures have surfaced in the 2 days since, it's pretty encouraging in that she can still have a somewhat private life if she goes about it the right way.

Because i loved the last show so much i decided to re-create the whole concert but unfortunately it's way too big to upload and share it with you, so i uploaded the songs separately. My grandmother and I aren’t fans of the “tour hair” and I tried telling her it’s a wig but she swears it’s her real hair even when I said there are pics of her rehearsals with her brown hair tied up 😂

Thanks so much for this!! My aunt and grandmother were at this show and loved it. I love being able to see it through their eyes, Although since I will be seeing her March 3 at Nassau coliseum, I don’t want to watch too much as I want to save myself some surprises lol I have seen most of the YouTube videos of most of the songs at this point so I’m thinking there aren’t many surprises left unless she has more technical issues 😂

I agree. She just wanted to enjoy a concert and she was able to do that without people creating a scene.

 

She did go in through an entrance that's not really used that much. At least it's never busy when I walk through. The only reason I walk there is because my boyfriend lives across the street.
