Does anyone know exactly what she is gesturing when she rolls her wrist and makes a fist? She does this often and it is clearly a signal to someone.. for example, just before the last note in LCMM. But she’s been doing it for years and at different points in lots of different songs.

I think it’s just a gesture that the song is about to end and will do the final showoff belting high notes even though scott and the band knows it already lol

in WDMHBN she did it too, right before the last verse which is live. I thought to give a signal to the sound director to turn the playback off. But here in LCMM I don't have a clue why she does it

 

Yes WDMHBN is the first time I noticed it. I thought for sure it has to do with playback. It’s possible it is sound/mic related. I don’t believe it is just some random thing.

I first noticed the gesture before the end of “All by Myself” a few years ago and I guess it was because she kept changing/adding adlibs, making it hard to tell when she wanted to end so the band would keep repeating the ending of the song until she signaled. I guess it’s the same for LCMM which has also been heavily modified throughout the years.

It's mostly this. If you listen closely to the horn section right before, she uses this gesture to stop them. Its a typical gesture used in conducting a band or orchestra. I went to college for music and this was used all the time during band and choir rehearsal.

There is also one gesture that she’s doing. The Thumbs up and thumbs down on microphone. Mostly, it’s always thumbs up. What does it mean?

 

Does it mean she wanted her mic volume to increase?

The wig isn’t great although I like the style. Suits her. I always worry about the large amount of hair missing at the top of her forehead x

I think she should go full out Cher mode and switch to several different wigs throughout the tour. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.

I always thought it was her ear monitors being too high or too low, and then another signal with her thumb is to turn her mic higher and lower. Also did anyone notice she holds the note at the of TTWII at the wrong part? She's been getting it right the past month when it goes up at the key change for the final chorus. It's funny that she always messes it up. LOL

It’s the same wig, only with the ends curled slightly towards her face. Same volume of hair, but the curl adds “more” visually.
