It's a blast...."Dance Cam" is very entertaining with the Celine tracks mixed

 

In san antonio they played if there was any other way before the dance cam, then the dance cam started with no celine songs... but very entertaining

Imperfections live is pretty weak. Seen it 3 times and in comparison to the 4 I seen lying down it just did nothing for me...Like someone else said, any other courage song would be better...

The good news: Celine's still got it! Though her voice no longer quite has that magical crystalline timbre of the Taking Chances World Tour, it's still spectacular live and much better than it has sounded in the video recordings. My favorites were the best songs she sang that I've never heard live before - Courage (though I don't LOVE the song on the album), Imperfections, and Imagine. She's funnier and more relaxed than ever, and I love how she lets her personality shine with her more natural stage banter vs. the Vegas shows.

 

This makes it more obvious than ever though that the other two highlights, IACBTMN and BYLM are almost entirely lipped. Oh well. I still prefer that to the next part... which is the tragedy of listening to her still spectacular voice live singing terrible songs I never need to hear again like LCMM, the medley (including RDMH!), You're the Voice. She could literally be singing anything else, but we'll never hear that voice singing anything but these same 20 songs and covers for eternity. She was so cute with how enthusiastic she was over You're the Voice, but just no.

 

The other downfall of a mostly greatest hits setlist outside of the Vegas atmosphere is that I was surrounded by Celine karaoke central. It made those new Courage songs and Imagine all the better though because finally, people stopped singing badly along with Celine or straight up shouting over the climax notes. It was a great show but not one I need to see more than once this time.

I remember my posts before about Céline’s figure being so slim that i said that i think she’s following Madonna’s figure in her 50’s and now looking at her recent photos... her figure now looks madonna in her 50’s well almost because madonna are showing veins lol

The show last night was so much fun. It had been a while since I got to see her and I just melted as I knew I would. I stood and danced and sang the entire show. The crowd sang with her and she enjoyed that. She made the usual jokes about, Houston we have a problem, ect. ect. but I ate it up! I was sitting by one of the catwalks and had a fantastic view.

I won't go into the setlist problem because there is nothing we can do about it. With that being said though when she started each song I was singing right along no matter how tired I was of them. She gets the biggest response to them so it will not change.

 

I love this woman and always will. :wub: :heart:

I knew you'd have a blast. You just can't help yourself. She rises up from the stage and it's like you body is taken over and you have no control. The energy she bring is everything.

I remember back in October you were saying you hoped TLBSEPT will make it to Houston but you were doubtful it would happen. I'm glad you managed to see it live!

I think Céline loves it when the audience are singing too. I think she will be more alive and energetic on stage. It’s like giving the energy back to her. I think she said that many times on some interviews and behind the scenes

I don't necessarily have an issue with people in the audience singing. It's the fact that she isn't singing as well. In MHWGO for example, she ignores nearly the entire second chorus of the song. Again I'm paying to hear her sing, not to be mute!

It's a celebration and a communion between her and an audience. Personaly I Don't pay to see her to be a robot. Celine is human and not a product and I very happy to see USA audience being like that. You want to hear her sing alone, put the album then.

Totally agree, I went once to a show of hers on the taking chances tour. First couple times fab everyone up dancing singing having a ball. Then in buffalo the whole audience sat down I kept getting a row from them for trying to stand. Worst concert I've been to as audience weren't lively if that us from an audience member speaking think how rubbish it must be for celine to see her full audience sat I silence.
