CelinesDIVO5 Posted February 27, 2020 at 10:43 PM Posted February 27, 2020 at 10:43 PM It never hurts to ask and you don't know unless you try. These fans are doing so respectfully on social media and I commend them for making an attempt. It's not "nagging" and "whining"...if anything, you folks are the negative nancy's constantly trying to make fans feel bad all the time for having an opinion to anything whatsoever. I think it could have been worded better, honestly. I commend the effort, but the verbiage comes off a little nagging. 3 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

browseceline Posted February 27, 2020 at 11:48 PM Posted February 27, 2020 at 11:48 PM I remember in one interview prior to the world tour she mentioned she was going to give us an incredible experience that her audience won't forget. Granted the stage set up is interesting/different, drones in place, visuals are actually really good, voice is in top shape, she is in top shape, but she is really not bringing the ethos or emotions of 'Courage' where art meets life... to life in the show. I get why they include that silly medley to get the tempo going or even the fact that Celine likes those songs and wants to perform them but they really add little to the story of 'Courage'. Art is about telling a story, expressing and taking your audience on that journey you went through to create. Just not getting it with her setlist. Creativity on story telling fails. She doesn't even introduce the two Courage songs well or give much background or what it means to her. She has such a strong repertoire to choose from that would fit with showing 'Courage' it baffles me why she doesn't! I get the whole writers rights and financials playing a role but cmon. I would rather go to a Celine concert and not dance around and clap but be over run by the emotion she can bring. That would be more memorable than listening to Your the Voice or another medley of other artists. You are Celine Friking Dion baby!Amen! I rather see her singing in a casual outfit on a regular stage pleasuring us with many new and lesser known songs and really touching us ib the heart! This current setlist is so familiar to many of us, there is no Ooh or aah anymore.. PuraVida Posted February 28, 2020 at 12:15 AM Posted February 28, 2020 at 12:15 AM (edited) Well it’s baffling to compare the FIY tour which had 7-8 (depending on how you count) of the 20 songs coming off the album... Whereas this tour has 2-3? To be fair, we should’ve seen epic tour mishaps—such a retro upbeat cover medley—coming. After all, do we recall her “Twist and Shout” number from the FIY tour? Easily her cringiest moment/cover of her career. She always manages to dust off an old one. That song was 35 years old at the time...at this point Let’s Dance is 37 years old. Popular Post couldawouldashoulda Posted February 28, 2020 at 05:43 PM Popular Post Posted February 28, 2020 at 05:43 PM Am seeing the show tonight (and tomorrow...and next week) and I literally cannot focus on anything at all today. I’m not even trying to be productive. There’s just no point. I’m taking a friend with me who is a very casual Celine Dion fan but she loves to do anything “important.” So having floor seats to a Celine show is right up her alley. It’s going to be fun to watch the show with someone who’s never been at a Celine Dion concert before. Only 7 1/2 hours to go!!!! 9 Quote

Okay, apparently I’m in the minority haha. I like energy as much as the next fan, but yeah in my opinion this is a very corny song and would’ve reinforced the “Céline is uncool” stereotype... I agree that her movements have changed quite a bit over the years but, if anything, her moves are even more exaggerated and energetic now. Also, the dramatic arm/hand movements haven’t gone anywhere, you’ll find them in pretty much any lipped climax such as MHWGO or ABM. I also strongly disagree with your statement “but she’s getting older so maybe she’s limiting her movements”. You should know by now that if there is one argument that really doesn’t work in Céline’s case, it’s aging. She has more physical strength and energy now than ever, and it shows.
