Courage World Tour - EU shows CANCELED

Do you guys think the Europe leg could be jeopardized due to that crazy coronavirus? :o

Well it seems no tickets have gone up in Asia yet...

It never hurts to ask and you don't know unless you try. These fans are doing so respectfully on social media and I commend them for making an attempt. It's not "nagging" and "whining"...if anything, you folks are the negative nancy's constantly trying to make fans feel bad all the time for having an opinion to anything whatsoever.

I think it could have been worded better, honestly. I commend the effort, but the verbiage comes off a little nagging.

I mean in Europe. Italy is cancelling some events... But Prague is 3 months away so things can improve by then.

I remember in one interview prior to the world tour she mentioned she was going to give us an incredible experience that her audience won't forget. Granted the stage set up is interesting/different, drones in place, visuals are actually really good, voice is in top shape, she is in top shape, but she is really not bringing the ethos or emotions of 'Courage' where art meets life... to life in the show. I get why they include that silly medley to get the tempo going or even the fact that Celine likes those songs and wants to perform them but they really add little to the story of 'Courage'. Art is about telling a story, expressing and taking your audience on that journey you went through to create. Just not getting it with her setlist. Creativity on story telling fails. She doesn't even introduce the two Courage songs well or give much background or what it means to her. She has such a strong repertoire to choose from that would fit with showing 'Courage' it baffles me why she doesn't! I get the whole writers rights and financials playing a role but cmon. I would rather go to a Celine concert and not dance around and clap but be over run by the emotion she can bring. That would be more memorable than listening to Your the Voice or another medley of other artists. You are Celine Friking Dion baby!
Amen! I rather see her singing in a casual outfit on a regular stage pleasuring us with many new and lesser known songs and really touching us ib the heart! This current setlist is so familiar to many of us, there is no Ooh or aah anymore..

Well it’s baffling to compare the FIY tour which had 7-8 (depending on how you count) of the 20 songs coming off the album...

Whereas this tour has 2-3?

To be fair, we should’ve seen epic tour mishaps—such a retro upbeat cover medley—coming. After all, do we recall her “Twist and Shout” number from the FIY tour? Easily her cringiest moment/cover of her career.

She always manages to dust off an old one. That song was 35 years old at the time...at this point Let’s Dance is 37 years old.

I kinda like ‘Twist and Shout’ especially the chorus part. I only know this song because of Céline. Gosh! I miss her energetic moves :)

I prefer this than ‘You’re the voice’

I loved Twist & Shout! Not very original, but fun. Feels like lipsync though, I don't know if it's the case, but something sets me off though. Edited by JulienMcbeal

Twist and Shout was good! It reminds me of those impros she does from time to time. Like the ones about the world cup in 2017. Edited by A new day...

“Twist and Shout” was certainly not the cringiest moment of her career. Not even close...

You miss her energetic moves?! Her moves nowadays are way more energetic and impressive. She runs, skips, does lunges, high kicks and all sorts of other crazy positions.

Also, I prefer “You’re the Voice”. In fact I have grown to adore YTV thanks to Céline. It also contains some of those “energetic moves” you long for :giggle:

I really don’t think so but there’s no way to tell.

Well, she’s getting there :) compared to 2017-2019 but it’s still missing something... like these

For her sexy number in RDMH

her dramatic hand/arm movements

I always blame her wired mic for restricting her to move more. lol

But she’s getting older so maybe she’s limiting her movements.

Okay, apparently I’m in the minority haha. I like energy as much as the next fan, but yeah in my opinion this is a very corny song and would’ve reinforced the “Céline is uncool” stereotype...

I agree that her movements have changed quite a bit over the years but, if anything, her moves are even more exaggerated and energetic now. Also, the dramatic arm/hand movements haven’t gone anywhere, you’ll find them in pretty much any lipped climax such as MHWGO or ABM.

I also strongly disagree with your statement “but she’s getting older so maybe she’s limiting her movements”. You should know by now that if there is one argument that really doesn’t work in Céline’s case, it’s aging. She has more physical strength and energy now than ever, and it shows.

She would shut up all the complainers if she did :sofunny:

But can you imagine?

Bryan Adams has just announced a 3 night residency at the Royal Albert Hall in London and on each night he’s performing a different one of his albums in full followed by a greatest hits set.

How amazing would it be if Celine were to do something similar?

Someone please add this to the complaint letter! :giggle:

Honestly, I’d rather have a concert DVD like that than for her to change the setlist on her greatest hits tour — as long as she did the ONLY the rare requests and skipped the hits.

There are still quite a few seats left for the third Brooklyn show. What are the chances of that one selling out, I wonder?

There are still quite a few seats for tonight and tomorrow too. (Granted, not as many as on Thursday.) But reviews and word-of-mouth may help it to sell as the week goes on.

I think her movements and facial expressions back in 2003-2004 were the most exaggerated ever

She may be getting older by age but she’s getting more flexible thanks to ballet since she likes dancing now :)

I'd be broke as I'd have to go to each show. Haha
