Hahah that's her first out and about picture in Canada since a long time.

Perfect timing, Céline going to a tanning salon. :sofunny:

There hasn't been any sun lately I guess, since she prefers the real deal naked no lines :sofunny:

Only Celine would dress like this to tan :sofunny:

For real tho, can’t queen Celine rent a tanning bed for her home :hmm:

Nice songs! Prayer I could do without. However it's a beautiful song with great production but can come off as a bit booring and I am finding it hard to think it would work live.

Nice to see someone liking RNTTRO! So many *CENSORED* about it beeing crap. I can't understand that at all. Not single material but mighty fine for an album filler!

Greatest chance of hearing live of those are SBYS. Didn't she rehease that for the 2017 tour?

I LOVE RNTTRO!!! Precisely I was listening to the TC album a couple of days ago, and this particular song -which breaks a bit the edgy style overall in the album- is nice to hear after so many "loud" songs. It's calm yes, but it's folky style is unique in her catalogue, it even reminds me of the Beatles sound, and only for that this song is precious to me

I also love RNTTRO and I think it could work very well on stage ,in an acoustic medley for example or in it's main version

Exactly! These are the kind of songs that are totally made for an acoustic medley, she has quite a few which could work very well and NOT ANDHC, I'm Alive, or Unison which she totally destroyed them and the spirit of the original versions! :pinch:

On the contrary - you expect someone who does the board a favor by posting news to summarize and translate every piece... seriously?

If you can't be bothered to click the Translate button (one click) or cut & paste (2 keystrokes), then how can you possibly expect someone else to do it for you?

People have lives and commitments and can't drop everything to at all times of the day to summarize every piece of news they happen to find. And news, by definition, is time sensitive. I'd like to think people are grateful when it's posted. I certainly am.

Allow me to briefly insert myself into this argument with a little anecdote...

When Scielle posted those interviews with Yves Aucoin last weekend, I was at work but I decided it would be nice to pop open another tab, piece together a synopsis, and translate it whenever I had a free moment for everyone... but by the time I finished an hour or two later, ALL of the news had been leaked through the subsequent comments by other users.

As much as I wish it all could have been posted in one, big chunk of English, it simply wasn’t possible (for either of us at least) to do at the time. If someone else wants to give it a whirl, be my guest; but, like Scielle said, Google translate is very quick/easy and it gives you the gist.

You want to know how I learned 50% of the French I know? A dictionary. The other half, c’est Céline!

You mean Quand ca balance? This single most interesting part of the show? :-D

(In all seriousness though, I'm not being contrarian. That legitimately was the coolest part of the setlist in my books.

In fact, would be cool if she brought back the entire Michel Legrand medley she use to do in 1985! Quand On S'aime / Brûle Pas Tes Doigts / La Valse Du Lilas / Quand Ça Balance / Les Moulins De Mon Coeur)

And « Je n’ai pas peur de mourir avec toi » from Simplement Marnay in 2003 or 2004 - SUBLIME!

My issue with the "Celine Dion" album is the nauseating Kenny G / Dave Koz-style production and arrangements, which is just such a turnoff.

It's too bad, because the songs themselves are actually better than on many of her other English albums. And she sounds great.

I have a feeling With This Tear might appear on this coming tour - maybe not in its entirety but in a medley. It is a Prince song, after all, and it never really had its time to shine. I think Scott could do something interesting with it.

You know, I think WTT would be quite fitting with its theme of loss and desire... but EJTE would be just as appropriate and, personally, I prefer its melody to the former.

I could almost care less what the setlist is. I just hope for a section of the show that rotates songs. I've posted this before. Nothing too crazy, not asking for different songs every night. Just allow for a 2-3 song segment to rotate amongst 8-10 songs total. With all they're rehearsing this is very doable. Some of us are going to multiple shows. I imagine after about four shows with the right luck I'd be able to hear all the rotated songs. If she performs a second French song in english areas this is already halfway doable.

And honestly this reason is a big one in why i decided to spontaneously go to quebec. Figure my best shot at other songs is going to quebec. Superfans want more songs. Lol.

I’d love it if they’d put that much effort into this tour. For several tours now, Kelly Clarkson has a spot in the show where she does a different cover at every stop on her tour. She says she started doing it because, with cell phones and YouTube, once she’s done one show, the entire thing is available for all the fans to see. So she makes sure to do at least one song that’s different each night so that the fans have something unique to their city’s stop on her tour.

Celine....take note!

Same!

What's more, I was so obsessed with D'eux and SSDA, that I became fixated with moving to Montreal. That's largely why I ended up at McGill for my undergrad - because I wanted to be surrounded by that culture and live in "Celine central" 😆

Curiously, that's also the time I stopped listening to her for, like, 15 years. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do agree that songs like IACBTMN, TPOL & BYLM so be on the medley to make way for other songs.

I just hope that they give new life to the songs that we are stuck with.

BYLM- needs to sound more like album version not a watered down version like they been doing; with louder powerful backing vocals during the chorus, the backing vocals sound lazy how they been doing it.

TPOL- I think that could be AMAZING in a fully stripped down, fully live, acoustic setting.

ABM- can’t see them making any changes there.

MHWGO- Id love to see that one like how she did it during the 2002 ANDHC television special with the piano, but doubt that would happen.

There goes her team again; 5 days away instead of exciting the fans on social media her team is still trying to sell that hideous children clothing. Edited by Nmj

Best opening:

Faith..... trust..... loooohoooove.....

Imagine if she did Shadow of Love with that loud heartbeat vibrating through the speakers and into the crowd...that would be awesome!

I'm happy that her team didn't miss this opportunity of promoting both her brilliant children clothing brand and her tour while those funny T-shirt's design were sreaming for that. Cool !

shadow of love... What a nice song, I remember how much Mego destroyed it along with Fade Away when performing it live. Two wasted spots in the TC setlist. Horrible arrangements and bad vocal performance as well. I don’t need to hear those ever again live (maybe as short interludes) Edited by ryba

My God...if there wasn't a tour and an album coming up; I would need to take a very long break from this travesty of a forum. The level of (repetitive) negativity is beyond comprehension. It's mind boggling. Are you all this miserable in your everyday lives? Have a martini!

I'm just getting back after many years away...looks like you could use a break, too. :sofunny:

You could always come back for the Mars, Jupiter or even the Moon tour topics! ;)

No a new arrangement more true to the albumversion could make it interesting again:)

You’ve been complaining about the same thing for years, too. So, you’re actually doing the very same thing you ridicule. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t cast stones.

What exactly have I been complaining about?

Why doesn’t everyone just get along?

This is called a FORUM. In a forum people post their views, popular, not popular, doesn’t matter; each and everyone is entitled to their view. If people get tired of others opinions/ “complaining then ignore them or their post; don’t engage in topics with those people and start a different conversation that you are more comfortable with. If people wanna complain about setlists, album delays, all of the stuff that is actually valid then let them! Otherwise, this forum would just consist of people taking about the “Titanic Song” or if Pepe and Celine are lovers at least since awhile people are speaking about music, being about the tour or album.

In my eyes? It’s incessant through thousands of pages all over this forum. The same comments, from the same people in all different topics. And please be advised, that I did not single anyone out. I made a general statement. You came charging like a bull out of it’s chute. Guilty conscience much?
