Critiaslux Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:42 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:42 PM Ah! Maybe it's about rights that it's not on Spotify then... or that version of the collection isn't there (how many versions did they do of the "TC Killer"? And why?) Actually I have it on my Spotify (not under the Essential album though but under a Morricone best of) and listen to it quite often. Like it very much. So Hollywoodesque at its finest: not grand, but delicate. I suppose Spotify is "regionalized". If I am not wrong I Knew I Loved You was on the US and French versions, but not on the European version of the 2CD Essential. Maybe then it is not available everywhere Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:43 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:43 PM Nice songs! Prayer I could do without. However it's a beautiful song with great production but can come off as a bit booring and I am finding it hard to think it would work live. Nice to see someone liking RNTTRO! So many *CENSORED* about it beeing crap. I can't understand that at all. Not single material but mighty fine for an album filler! Greatest chance of hearing live of those are SBYS. Didn't she rehease that for the 2017 tour? They said “Right In Front Of You” from “A New Day Has Come,” not “Right Next To The Right One” from “Taking Chances.” Quote

fred Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:52 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:52 PM When you mention it I believe I have heard it before on Spotify from a Morricone album. Does it have some music that "don't belong on that song" or interlude or something on that album? Too bad it's not avalible over here anymore. The downside of today's technology. Cd's didn't jump off of your shelf in the 90ies and walked by itself into another region all of a suddem. fred Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:58 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 08:58 PM I'm no guitarrist, but is that song rocket science to play? If theyve added Jeff to do Dreamin of You with Celine... i may drop dead with shock Quote Peace and love to all.

DionFanAlways Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:16 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:16 PM If there is one French song for an English concert, it will always be PQTME. At least in the US. “The French Album” was specifically marketed for non Francophone countries, and promoted nicely in the US with PQTME being performed. It’s the most well known French song of her catalogue to her non French speaking fans. It’s a given that it will always be the French song in any English concert.I know you’re right but it would so nice she would change it up. So many wonderful French songs that I’d love to hear. 2 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
Nmj Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:21 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:21 PM I'm no guitarrist, but is that song rocket science to play? Probably not LOL, but hopefully he was like “ hey Celine do you remember that song we collaborated on back in the 90s have you ever done it live?” And then Celine listened to it and remembered it’s a hidden gem on one of her most successful albums, which means people probably know it too. Okay reaching a bit maybe but one can hope lol. 1 Quote
Bruno Portugal Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:22 PM Posted September 12, 2019 at 09:22 PM Opening with TYLAM would be glorious !!! Yes, we look at her, always. The stage in total darkness, a guitar, a spotlight and Celine singing WITL ... It would be magical. In French... Je Sais Pas. I also expect the biggest hits and MANY new songs. Coming soon.. 1 Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION

Something a little uptempo - or even do a little French medley of PQTME and 2 other songs like Destin and EUS or something - I’d love a little french medley in the US 4 Quote

Just in case it wasn't posted yet. Of course...nothing confirmed officially yet. I wonder why the concert date was not taken down yet since I would have expected that Celine's team would ask for it.I think this does make sense! as the album is rumored to be released on that day, I would understand the coordinating of ticket sales! I’ve always been convinced that the inclusion of EJTE in AND was because the English version was on OH and the French on 1F4T. It was promotion for both and she wanted to sing One French song. SSD, because it was her newest French single at the time when she was at her peak. It made sense then for her to want to reach the masses with it. Now, in an English show (especially in the US where people seem to lack attention span these days), she would be best off doing a French song that the audience will know. Among casual fans, PQTME is her most well known French song. It’s her best bet to please an English audience while singing a French song from her catalogue. It may be the safest and most “logical” choice, but it’s far from a very artistic decision. If anything, it’s quite the opposite. 2 Quote

If anything, it’s quite the opposite. Bullshit, 90% of the people attending each concert in the USA wouldn’t know the difference between PQTME or any other song fromher French material...so I beg to differ that she could literally perform any song she wanted and it wouldn’t matter because the majority wouldn’t even understand it. Hence that jazz boring French song she did in Vegas instead of PQTME. However, more French speakers were in Vegas from abroad than will most likely travel to say Chicago to see Celine on a world tour that will most likely stop in their home country or closer than USA to their country if not so their own. Actually, NMQP is one of the most well known French songs all over the world. I’d probably put it 2nd to “La vie en rose.” She gets a decent reaction for PQTME. While not an artistic choice, it’s her safest. Deux/The French Album is the most successful French album sold worldwide. I think more people in non-French speaking countries recognize PQTME than you think. People respond best to what they’re familiar with. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay
