I don't know why, in almost every Celine impression, people feel like they have to have such a strange twang to there voice. Is that really how they think Celine sounds?

 

I don't get it. :shrug: Veronic Dicaire does that same thing when she impersonates Celine, she uses this strange twang to her voice. Now Ariana Grande does it in her impersonation. What do they hear that I don't, because what they do sounds really bad. Please impersonators, stop the twang sound.

I think its cause she's French Canadian- so they think she's got a nasal kinda accent... But I don't think you hear it much at all when she sings.

I didn't know love until they loved me back to life because somebody loves somebody!

When I do my Celine impersonation it's very similar to Ariana's. It's a parody. It's focusing on one small, distinctive part of her voice. Cos I sure can't do the ABM awesomeness note haha

I think to successfully imitate her, they'll have to take everything into consideration. Her accent, purity, power, harshness, grace, clarity, and just elegance.

 

Of coarse there's more but, it'll take years to fully analyze her vocal technique and prowness.

I thought the impression was cute and funny. :giggle: Her brother is a REALLY big Celine fan. He used to always tweet about the LMBTL album, and occasionally Water And A Flame. I'm assuming she's a big fan too because she has a really big love of people like Judy Garland, Whitney Houston and Mariah etc.

 

I wonder if Celine ever sees these types of videos, like she saw the video of the guy at the airport.

I think she even said before Celine is her idol and she even loves her fashion style! So that's sweet!!

The video has been tweeted and posted on all the big entertainment sights so it's quite possible it will be bought to her attention at some point!

I disagree with this. I have heard your impression and you could be Celine's double. There's no stopping you, not even ABM :P

It's supposed to be like a caricature of Celine. Its supposed to be funny, not uncanny. And Celine does do that throaty thing with her voice...all the time, so it makes sense for people impersonating her to do it.
