Celine's versions of "If Walls Could Talk," "Love Is On The Way" and "Refuse To Dance" are actually covers. I actually enjoy the original of "Refuse To Dance." Here are the originals before Celine recorded her versions:

"If Walls Could Talk," by Stevie Vann

"Love Is On The Way," by Billy Porter

Thank you for sharing those original cover songs! :)

Most of Celine's songs, if not all of them are actually covers. Celine is the only artist I know that could get away with being a huge legendary singer, with a long lasting career that is based mainly of covers. Plus she's a crossover artist from French to English.

It's pretty amazing, when you think of all of her accomplishments. It goes to show how talented Celine really is. Not many people are able to achieve her level of success being a crossover artist, or any artist really. It's. Sometimes I think about her songs and think, How the heck could she have made it this far in her career off of cover songs. It's the voice. It's pure talent!

Last year was the first year since 2009 in which multiple theatrical film soundtracks reached No. 1 on the chart; throw in the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and has produced two Top 10 hits on the Hot 100, and it can be concluded that we're in the middle of a full-blown soundtrack revival, nearly two decades after the format's late 90's heyday. Cue the Celine!

Soundtracks were all the rage before the turn of the century, when music consumers couldn't go to iTunes and select individual songs for purchase. Although they were sometimes featured as standalone physical singles, buying the full Titanic, Armageddon and City of Angels soundtracks was the easiest way for a listener to own radio smashes like Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On," Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" and Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris," respectively. It didn't matter what else was offered on those soundtracks -- they all had at least one hit single and a semi-intriguing mix of artists, so each of those soundtracks sold millions of copies.

I do too actually. It's fun, sung well, and has a message I can relate to. I'd have a hard time not getting caught up in it.

Me, three. I wouldn't say it's her best song ever, but I think it's an excellent pop song -- upbeat and catchy, with a positive message. And it's from such a beautiful, touching movie.

Not her best song...but I love the lyrics, and the message and it's positive vibe. I also LOVE the instrumentation of the remix used on LMBTL.

I like number 2. It just has a very feminine feel to it. If I had to pic a short hairstyle, I like number 1.

Yes I love it also. I think they could have at least given a shot when the movie was out. I tweeted something to Diane about what a shame this wasn't pushed and she replied back that she didn't get it either.

I miss the 'Hey hey hey' at the end though.

Maybe if people saw the movie, they would like the song. The movie had a great message- I cried my eyes out along with many others in the theater. The song just makes more sense after you've seen it.

When was this song actually recorded? Because on Wiki it says

In 1995 Dore ventured back into the recording studio to record her own album, Things Change (Black Ink/Grapevine), which included the original version of "Refuse To Dance", featuring actor Alan Rickman (this song was later covered by Celine Dion on her multi-platinum album The Color of My Love).

So is it from 1995 or from before 1993?

1993. Think she recorded the demo that Celine received. Then decided to put it on her own album too, which was 1995.

Ah so if she recorded thd demo and did not release the song commercially first, than technically Celine's version is the original!

In popular music, a cover version or cover song, or simply cover, is a new performanceor recording of a previously recorded, commercially released song by someone other than the original artist or composer.

Yeah that's how I've always thought it. Cos didn't Charlie do backing vocals on RTD? I always wondered whether her vocals came from the demo or if she recorded them with Celine etc.

Charlie also Co - wrote Rain,Tax..

Yeah Charlie and Celine are both credited as backing vocals. I'd say she re recorded them cos the demo is a different from fragments that I ve heard.

Oh did she? Maybe that's why Celine recorded that song too :P
