Yeah, I still think the critics and the opera world would have torn her apart.

I know, I felt a bit bad because I know how much she wanted to do it.

I agree, even if it was just a movie opera critics would've still had something to say and I'm not sure what they would have done with Celine's accent either.

Maybe in an alternate universe Celine would've won an Oscar for it hahaha

 

I thought they decided to choose Meryl Streep

 

Celine would have been the best choice because she is so well known. And she wanted to do it so much.

I think that was for HBO? I might be mistaken though so don't quote me on that lol

Noomi is really good, but I'm not sure if she's going to be singing, I just know it's based on Maria's love affair and whatnot.

Tbh though, with everything that's going on in Celine's life right now I doubt she'd have committed herself to this anyway. Shame though.

Why is there a very inappropriate and adult film themed picture on Celine's facebook? The post is from a Krishna Patel...does anyone else see this from a few days ago???? Very very strange that its on her comments section very publicly for people to see......dont know what to say or why its still not deleted

Why is there a very inappropriate and adult film themed picture on Celine's facebook? The post is from a Krishna Patel...does anyone else see this from a few days ago???? Very very strange that its on her comments section very publicly for people to see......dont know what to say or why its still not deleted

 

I haven't seen it but noticed that the forum on there has been spammed by all these people from Middle East posting bullshit topics and links. Irritating.

I saw on Twitter last week that Celine's official sight was hacked. I'd stay off the forum part if I were you.

Yei! I survived my french class presentation on Celine and JJG :D The feedback was that I sounded like I've spoken french before in public (never) and also my enthusiasm for the topic shone through B) (well obviously I get super excited when I get to talk about Celine) But anyways... I've seen both shows and to be honest I enjoyed Shania's a bit more. I felt she engaged the audience more than Celine, plus the setlist was amazing. I can't wait to see what the revamped "Celine" is going to give us. Shania's sets and visuals were fantastic. That being said I cannot wait to go see Celne again. I need my fix. Lol

This is true. Sometimes I felt she was "not there" and just trying to rush to get home! Something catastrophic had to happen to make her snap out of it! (Well I take that back, a fight broke out and she didn't even stop :sofunny: )

you'd have enjoyed my show. While singing our song "Overjoyed" Stevie Wonder got tired stopped singing and the hologram went kaput. There was Celine stuck on a lift with no where to go. Lol. I loved it, it was so funny and she entertained us with a rendition of rescue me.

As this was Celine's second vegas show I think it would be fairer to compare AND with Shania's show. Thoughts? I haven't seen the Celine show. Saw AND and have Shania's dvd. For me,it's hard to say what is better.

Interesting when Celine said she had a new band leader. Makes me wish I was part of her meetings lol. Really looking forward to seeing / hearing the new changes. Not long now! 👏

I saw that too yeah! I reported it to Facebook and I got a message they deleted it. Prob just annoying spamming :glare:

I would so have loved to see her take on the roll of Maria Callas. We all know she would have loved it, but, as has been said, they'd pick her apart. Congrats to the person who survived their French class, can you teach me? LOL I too cannot believe we have had Une Seule Fois for one whole year now, wow time so flies by quickly. Also, congrats to the person who has six years as a fan. Definite newby, but we need those. I wonder if you'd share with us how you became a fan, I am always super curious about peoples' fan stories. There are, in fact, so many of you whose stories of discovering her I do not know. There should be a topic for that.

she mention to us, that there are stairs she goes up but once she's up they take them away. So she was stuck on this platform that was up in the air and couldn't get down. She said she could jump down but with the slit in her dress we might get more than we bargained for. Lol. Anyway it was eventually decided not to try and star Overjoyed again and they brought the stairs back to get her off the platform. The stairs are in the back so you don't actually see them.
