Listening to the glee version of it's all coming back to me now..it sounds like she was very influenced by Celne her version. It is exactly like Celine sings it.

 

Lea Michele adores Celine and has always said she has been an influence for her.

The creator of glee has said lea always wanted to do Barbra and Celine songs on the show. Lol

Lea certainly has good taste in music

Jennifer lopez???? I have never considered her as a good singer. She has the looks but her singing is mwah

So Noomi Rapace is going to star as Maria Callas in an upcoming movie.

It had me thinking about Celine being Callas but I'm not sure how that would've worked.

It would be amazing to see Celine do some acting though. I think she could do ok if she really tried and took some acting lessons or something.

I thought they decided to choose Meryl Streep

 

Celine would have been the best choice because she is so well known. And she wanted to do it so much.

I remember her talking about this movie already in 2008. When she was on the Taking Chances tour and was doing shows in Germany, she had an audition for this role in Berlin. She was so excited. I wonder what's the point of using a rather unknown Swedish actress who cannot sing at all and rejecting Celine? Edited by ryba

Yes but I think they would be critical just because of who she is.

there was some meeting with an opera trainer, dunno if it can be considered as an audition...

I think the meeting was with a opera conductor. It was simply to show how capable she could be at singing opera and to find out her true vocal rang. Celine had always thought she was a messo soprano, but in that meeting, she discovered that she is actually a soprano. Edited by Angel2006
