No, the stage was much smaller, and very simple. No LED screens, just curtains, I think. And her hair was curlyish and shortish. It was meant to be the official music video, until they decided to go with the whole dried-lake-becomes-raging-river concept.

Its such a pity that the Blonde A New Day DVD isn't for sale at least in the Celine boutique, at least then the fans that liked the blonde hair could have the option of buying it (and the petty fans who didn't like the blonde hair could walk passed the DVD and not buy it.....I WANT THE DVD :angry2:

I think it was a lame excuse that they didn't release the blonde hair AND DVD. Okay, some people didn't like it. Who cares? You buy the DVD for the show, for her performance, not because of her bloidy hair. Honestly, as if her blonde hair was going to make sales plummet.

 

Agreed.

Even when I'm not a fan of her "blonde era" I'd rather that dvd instead all the box sets, re-released and compilations cd's, I'm tired of that :pinch:

I don't listen to Celine Dion for her hair!!! So I never understood the cancelling of the DVD over the colour.

If she decided to die her hair bright pink in the morning it wouldn't stop me wanting to support her music! Lol

So I would love that DVD to be released at some point!

Wow, this thread is almost five years old, and it's always been super relevant. I love it that we can clear out doubts and learn things we didn't know about Celine here. There's a wealth of information here that could be perfectly published as Celine trivia. :)

Yeah, but unfortunately Céline's team and even Céline herself did not think the same :down: ... then it was her hair the obstacle to release that concert, when its not her hair its because they're lazy and they don't care to release new things for the fans, when its not laziness its a long break of 6 years without new music...

Can I just ask? Why is the power of the dream not on falling into you? I think it would be amazing on that album and would fit. It could have been re released with it on

I think it was on the Australian version of FIY . . not sure if it was in any other versions. It definitely wasn't in the US version of FIY. I first heard Power of the Dream in a Celine sampler CD I won from a radio station when I won tix to see Celine in Radio City in 1999. (true story! i always wondered if those radio contests were real, but I won actual tickets from one! And got the CD too!)

its the same with to love you more, i hate when a song doesnt have an album to belong, i guess both of them made in on my love... but id prefer a new edition containing them songs and a dvd of extras

 

i dont know why but my whole becoming a fan properly was after discovering falling into you, such a great great album! It really is a treasure to me which i will keep forever, as i do with all celine albums, this one just stands out more to me

She didn't sing Power of the Dream until the summer olympics in 1996 and Falling Into You was released in the spring.

I think it was also on a re-release of The Colour of My Love in Japan - I think after it became a huge hit there by being in a TV show. It was included on LTAL in the US (to me, I can't imagine LTAL without TLYM). I didn't know the numbers, but I remember it being a big radio hit -- it was the next Celine song played on US radio after MHWGO, when she was really huge, and it was on all the top 40 stations that wouldn't often play songs with these sorts of soaring orchestral melodies.

I was just watching Celine perform Lady Marmalade and I was just thinking if she wanted to be funny she should sang the chorus in English! :giggle:

I just ha a Celine dream!! I was on the street near my house with some friends and she suddenly appeared with Marc Langis (her bass player) and we all instantly went crazy.

 

Then out of nowhere a big amount of celine CDs appeared on the floor and she started to sign them. I catched the 'Then You Look At Me' single and asked her "Celine could you please sing a bit of this?" And she answered "hmmm... I don't think so", then I said "why?" And she said "Because I don't really remember this one".

 

Then I asked Marc if he could take a pic of me with Celine and MY CAMERA WAS NOT THERE. Lol, it was a bit frustrating.

Celine will be a presenter at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday which are at the MGM Grand in Vegas. The show will air at 8pm (ET) on ABC.

 

Wonder what she will be presenting?
